Thank you, Dr Lori, I love your videos on treasure hunts at the different thrift stores. As you intended, it gives me an idea what I can find. Don’t let anybody talk you out of doing these again. Thank you.❤
I agree 🎉 I suggested Dr Lori start blocking complaining comments. People act as if she does everything she does specifically for the individual not a community. It’s simple to move on if they don’t like it. What makes people think they have a right to complain about anything free and imparts knowledge to do many? SMH, I just want to tell them to sthu.
Thanks for the milk glass lesson! I always go to the thrift store after I watch your videos so I can use my newfound knowledge in the wild!
I always learn something new from you. Thank you. 😊
I've loved the translucent milk glass for decades. I think it's far more beautiful than the opaque, which I've always ignored. Thank you for this tutorial. Now, I know how much I ought to be paying and I'm really happy that I can afford more pieces than someone looking for the opaque. It's nice to know I have less competition and there's more for me. LOL
Love milk glass and carnival glass!
THANK YOU DR. LORI FOR TELLING US ABOUT ANTIQUES
I continue to learn from you, Dr.
Lori! I have to know what I'm looking at. Thanks for everything you do. ❤

Such a neat video Dr. Lori! Thank you!
I think I could hang out with you all day and not be bored!!!😀
So much valuable info, thank you!
I recently went to Peddlers Mall in Bardstown, Kentucky...loved it ...got 5 large jars of jewelry for $60.00 I have not sorted or checked anything out yet but keeping my fingers cross I find something really good in them! ❤❤❤
I am lucky as I have 6 Goodwills close by. I didn’t start looking in them till I was 70, did do a few yard sales. I have a very large flea market near me and used to walk the whole thing years ago for the exercise. Found some great stuff. Think I will start doing this again. I really love Dr. Lori and have to thank her for sharing all her great knowledge.
Love your thrifting videos! I always learn so much !!!
Thanks, Dr. Lori for all the information on milk glass. I find it simple yet elegant, love my collection from family and estate sales. Enjoying your videos. You are a treasure!

Another fascinating video🏆💐
I learn something watching all your videos! Thank you!!!
I don't mind your visits to the thrift stores and you are a bit crass but that's why I like you! I prefer your open mike appraisals but that's just me. I adore you Dr. Lori!
Dr Lori, this shopping video is such fun.
Regarding milk glass: my family calls the cheaper, simi-translucent pieces, “skim milk glass,” and I think it works quite well.
I need to adopt your mom’s rule on one week of newspapers in the magazine rack. I’ve got magazines from 6 months ago still sitting in mine. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing your expertise, especially on milk glass.
I really enjoy watching your thrifting videos. I learn so much from you. Thanks for shopping in 'my' little world.
Thanks for another wonderful video Dr. Lori!
Thank you Dr Lori I love these videos you do for us and all the information you give! 🙂🤗
thank you dr lori, i never knew about milk glass, until today. great video. keep it up
I prefer the aesthetic of the more translucent milk glass.
Agree
Wow, thanks Dr. Lori. I would have thought just the opposite.
Same
Thank you for teaching us about milk glass. My grandmothers gift shop in the sixties had a whole section devoted to milk glass and I have inherited a few pieces.
Totally agree I like the more translucent too and I have many love. If you put tea candles in the vase it glows amazing especially with holidays coming up I decorate with them.
Hi from Missouri I was just setting out all of my milk glass today and this video helped me so much with pricing it all. I am moving and selling all my large inventory of all my antiques. I am kind of sad that I have to sell all of it to move closer to my daughters because of my health. I will be moving into a very small apartment versus a house so lots to get rid of. I have a big job ahead of me and you made it a lot easier with this video on melt glass and other items. I just absolutely loved seeing that brutalist MCM beautiful artwork. I love the orange on it as orange is my favorite color. ❤️
love this video, I learned a lot! I wish I lived close for that wall art, I love MCM, that's an amazing piece!
Never knew that ice cream sundae vessels in milk glass existed. Glad to learn something new! I would have bought it as a vase, lol.
Thank you Dr. Lori ❤.
Years ago l had a set of ten small milk glasses that were quite straight form, like for a small glass of milk. Held up to the light, there was a translucent iridescence. I loved them, and used them daily. They were my aunt's. Unfortunately, somehow they were left behind when l moved crosscountry. 🥴 I was hoping there would be some on your shopping/teaching shelf today! Oh darn! Thanks Dr. Lori! 🤗✌️❤️🦋🙏
Hi from Fort Worth. I’ve been watching awhile and often recommend your videos. I had a huge milk glass collection it thinned it out due to space. I kept my favorites -pink milk glass and special ones like à covered dresser dish with birds on top. I was told years ago that if you hold up milk glass to the sunlight and it has a faint orange/amber glow then it’s the «good stuff ». The hobnail doesn’t do this. It’s with the smooth finish ones that I’ve noticed. I have a set of small tumblers that glow if held to the sunlight
Thanks for the info on milk glass.I have some hobnail pieces that are solid.I was told the see-through was more valuable and real milk glass.glad to get educated on facts, not hearsay.your teaching is invaluable.I am forever grateful Dr.Lori for your expertise.
I am not a treasure hunter but this is very interesting. 👍🏼. I am glad I found your channel.
Thanks for the information about the milk glass.
Now I’m confused! I always heard to look for the “ring of fire” to help date milk glass. So I thought older milk glass would be more “milky” as opposed to “white”. Always learning😮
I’m loving that crossbody you have Dr. Lori 😍😍
Your Mom’s Brass Magazine holder would look good with a Hydrangea & Ivy arrangement in it for a mantle or hearth. Nice to know the Milk Glass tips. Thank You Doctor ❣️
So I did not know that about milk glass. I may have through it was the other way around. Thanks Dr Lori. I learn something new everyday even at my age.
Great show. I love the older Westmoreland and Jeanette glass, so this was very educational for me. Even watching again from the free email newsletter link, I forgot about the 'mix and match' hint!
Thanks for the info on milk glass. I inherited a lot of milk glass vases. I knew little about it so this was very helpful to me. As always I appreciate your expertise and enjoy when you go thrifting!
Thanks for sharing your tips on milk glass! ❣️
I was just looking at my latest milk glass additions, and here I am with the details I needed... thank you for creating and sharing videos. It always amazes me how much valuable information you fit into these! Happy holidays, Dr. Lori, you've been an angel to us all! Oh, and I love your green purse with your red sweater, very festive!❤
You are so welcome! Don't forget to check out our gifts to you all on my website.
@DrLoriV I already did! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the milk glass info. I have been collecting this for a long time. 😊❤
I live in Louisville, Kentucky and shop at that peddlers Mall all the time. I was excited to see that you were there.
I am loving your thrift store videos. I shop at Goodwill and at the Goodwill outlet
I like your hair style Dr. Lori. I had a set of milk glass vases from my sons Bar Mitzvah. I liked them a lot.
Thank you for the lesson on milk glass. I'm going to go through my milk glass right next. Thank you for making me smarter 😊
Wonderful!
Milk glass can decorate a kitchen or bathroom very nicely. When I need some white glass decor I use the milk glass.
Thx for the great information on the milk glass. Also about the fiesta, since i have my grandmothers and great grandmothers.
I just purchased 3 pieces of milk glass at GW So I was really happy to get this information. Thanks.
I'm in S. Indiana so I will definitely put that place on my thrifting list. Thank you Dr. Lori
Dr. Lori , just to confirm, the thin see-through milk glass pieces are not older milk glass? I've heard tons of people swear the see-through pieces are older and most desirable.
Thank you for all the education I am learning so much.
Omg I could watch for a hour why so short 😢
Thanks for watching! I have hundreds of videos to watch :)
I’ve got the milk glass vase on the far left. It was from my grandmother after she passed. She was born in the teens. All I see that identifies. It is a number three at the bottom with a little circles on either side that are barely noticeable. It’s completely opaque, except for the very top where things out a little. I wish I knew how much it was worth.
I can help! Need to see it to verify what you really have. Many factors affect value. Check out my website to see how you can send me photos or show pieces to me during a video call.
Thank You🙂🌹
Wow them tumblers is a good price and very pretty
I have a Fiestaware Mug that is so wonderful.❤
I spied a bowl on the top shelf and got excited. I'd like to send a picture of it to you to see if it's worth anything.
See my website for options.
I have a ton of opaque milk glass. I thought it was the cheaper milk glass.
Speaking of parental inheritance, my sister and I argue about who has to take it all.
You are one cool and smart lady
Is there another way to identify Milk Glass by holding it up to sunlight on edges or a bright light bulb and a rainbow shows ?
That art piece was cool
I would buy that MCM art. Wish I could find one at that price.
So... We have always collected glass that looks milky orange when held upon the natural light. Does that indicate lower quality glass?? Just curious. We love it and look for this characteristic specifically😮

Dr. Lori, is your bag a Coach bag?
I wish I was at the peddlers mall when you were there.
Well, i have recently srarted looking at milkglass. Interesting to know the opaque glass is better that the translucent....cos i love the tranalucent. .. .😢
Man I wish I knew which Peddler's mall this was. I saw a few items that I want to add to my collection!
Well I guess no ones gonna get rich off my mom's milk glass collection ☺️ but maybe one of her pieces of art might be worth something. And I'm the youngest so my older brother will probably throw it in the garbage when she's gone anyways. 🤔🙂 thanks for your videos. 😊
Wow I’ve never seen so much milk glass n one place, I think. Lol
Hi - from Granton WI - ✌
i saw several milkglass items on those shelves that i have or have had (some given away), both the better and the inexpensive ones
I have that toilet water canteen with the stopper.
Maybe the see threw milk glass is 2% milk lol the dense ones are heavy cream 😊 I will remember it that way ,and if you see molding lines on side is it new? What about those ones?
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching. Check my website for the next date.
My parents had a old coal bin to hold magazines
What about the old cosmetic containers milk glass like Ponds? Some have a touch of green and a touch of pink. I bought two boxes from an older lady for $5.
Many factors affect value. I can help. Need to see your pieces. See my website for options.
