Very very impressive. Good work, and great commentary.
Did not expect to see you here :) i am viewing it after buying the kit from them
JerryRigEverything wow you r also seeing it
5 years later, still have this great phone, i'mt at this point and it's super difficult to replace, congrats !
The fact that you did this with success and put it on YT is a like :D
I would take the battery out just in case though.
Thanks! Yeah probably a good idea just wanted to make sure it didn't break on me and try turning it on every little bit
ErCellutions Any idea if it would work with the string method any way? Even with my LCD separator machine?
If we master this we can make even more money compared to the regular s6 and other edge models. It's a really hard repair. Congrats on like the first video that was successful.
ErCellutions BTW did you attempt or consider attempting a glass only iPhone 6S repair?
I want to see if that is even possible. Other YTs say its not.
+Jake Methner I haven't gotten my hands on one yet but I don't see it being a problem at all probably the same as the 6
would like to say that ive been using your method, its taken me over a day but thats because my entire screen was shattered. its the best way to tackle this issue with the samis. thank you for the tips and fresh screen 🖒
Is this the first glass-only repair of a curved AMOLED screen on RUclips? I think it is. Congrats! A continuous take would have been more impressive, but I believe you. I still don't think this will be profitable for the vast majority of repair shops. It's an absolutely insane amount of work with high risk of failure.
+laalaa99stl It sure seems like it, it was too many hours of footage beleive it or not wanted to speed through so we could get a general idea of how to work around it. i agree it is very tedious but someone could possibly watch this video and find other ways of completing it which was my sole purpose in doing (Repair shops vs. Samsung) hahaha thanks for the comment
Very good video! A german guy whose repair videos are quite popular already claimed that it was impossible to do on the S6. Now you suceeded with the EDGE!!!
I do think it's worth repairing. I'm going to try this and gladly, my customer is willing to pay the full price for the AMOLED.
More and more displays won't even allow for a plate + string repair, due to their construction. For example, I almost always cut under the polarizer on the Iphone 6 (making it NOT worth it) and of course the edged design won't allow it either.
I have often consider shattering the glass further, so you can pry the glass more easily.
This was the best repair video I've seen for this phone. Why are others pulling off the thin layer that has the colour at the top and bottom on the screen. It looks like they are making the LCD wavy when the job is done. I have to attempt this on a S6 edge+ and I don't see many repairs on that phone screen. Have you done one? Does that colour holding middle layer need to be removed?
Thanks for showing us how it is done :) Definitely I'll be paying extra to get it done by a specialist (Parts seems to be the most expensive thing in my region rather than the work) it was great though finaly being able to comprehend the stracture of the phone :D
best and only for now video on youtube about sg6 edge glass repair. thanks.GOD bless u
+Raul Morel www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Front-Screen-Outer-Glass-Lens-Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-G925-G925V-G925A-/252295594084?var=&hash=item8052034f7d
Awesome video - very informative. Think I've got the courage to now go ahead and replace the glass on my phone. Thanks a lot!
Great video.
Did the loca get run onto the home button and earphone speaker? Did it stop them functioning at all?
From one repair man to another, GREAT STUFF!
Wow. That's that dedication. Good work son.
Great video.. All told how long did the repair take? beginning to end??
I'm going to try this with the S7 edge...I watched at least 15 S7 edge glass repair videos and none were very helpful, this one was great! Thanks for posting, I feel much more confident about it now!
I want to do it with my s7 Edge, too. Did it work for you?
Hey man, great video. Looking to attempt this job. Had a question regarding the heat gun. What temperature did you heat the phone up at? How long would you recommend heating up an area to avoid damaging the LCD? Thanks for the info man! EDIT: Also wondering what I do with the Front Housing Frame Adhesive Sticker that comes with most of the screen replacements. Is that something I will be using with the LOCA?
Damn good job. I get a ton of phones. Some are edges like these. The phones with edges, and if they are cracked. Half the value goes down. But if I could sucsessfully repair these phones, and only be paying less than $20 on each repair. Thats a real bargain. I almost picked up a s7 edge, it was cracked and I was about to buy it for $250. Decided not to bc I didnt know that the glass itself could be repaired. Thank you for the video man!! Good work!

best video yet about s6 edge glass replacement
Very Nice! I didn't think it was possible! Thanks for making this video!
tech MD when you removed that sticker film , did u remove the digitizer is that what that was
???
Thankyou. This video is going to be very helpful.I have a Galaxy 6 Edge G925P that needs the front glass replaced. This video will make doing the repair alot easyer.I thaught I'd have to tare the thing apart but I don't now.Thanks.
Besides my screen my charging port needs replacing. Seeing how its easier to do screen on completely assembled phone how do you suggest I go about replacing charging port? Do it first and reassemble with bad screen then lastly replace glass? Thank you for the video
Very Impressive, where are you located?
Hi +ErCellutions, may I know where you bought the separate glass panel for the phone? I faced the same issue. My screen glass is cracked but LCD panel works perfectly. Please let me know where I can buy it for a reasonable price. Thank you.
impressive work here! Not sure i'll do it.
This UV lamp is amazing, where can i find it?
Just one question. In the other videos that follow this method of glass removal, after removing the glass they also remove the laminate sheet. I dont see you removing the same. Is it not required to be removed.?
damn you made it seem simple. mine dont got that many tiny cracks... just a few in the top corner. first gotta invest in some wire and a screen. already got my glue n uv light from previous repairs on other phones. thanks for the vid...
so In my case its beneficial that the glass shattered in a way where there is now a access hole to begin removal? But as you mentioned time consuming.
Really good video, thank you. It helped me a lot in repairing my cracked screen.
where would I get the wire, glue and the UV light from??? thanks for showing this, I need to do the same!
Click on the description takes you to the website to buy everything you need
also ebay really cheap the glue is called LOCA GLUE. they got the glass and everything too
good day,
my name is israel, I appreciate all that you do. I believe this will be a similar way to repair the s7 edge glass only as well right. have a blessed day, thanks
so after u removed the glass is there a film under that? i see other people remove it but i think it would be best to leave it on so you dont have to open it and stop any damage to the camera
brilliant and going to have a go! Thank you, leaving phone assembled makes great sense.
great video, nice work! you can use a bit of wd40 to clean off the glue
Wow!!!! There's a guy selling a s6 edge with the back and front cracked. is it worth $100 to buy it and try to fix myself? Wonderful video by the way. I admire your courage, There's also a s7 that's broken really bad that I was considering buying, and after watching this, I seriously would consider going into business doing this. that heating machine would soon pay for itself huh? Great video, and I will thumbs up, subscribe as well. thanks.. How much is that machine and relevant tools??
Beautifully done. Will be attempting soon!
best tutorial yet keep up with good work
did youmremove anything from the back? cover battery etc?
There is a very good reason to take the phone apart when doing this. you can easily damage the speaker with the loca glue and distort the camera if the glue runs over the lens. but other than that man good job.
how do you get a wire or a card above the top grill ? you have to work around it as its sticks up a bit
was that the original glass you took off the mobile? coz my original glass got a hair line crack? its not a big problem cant be seen directly until its been seen by side.. changing glass will be worth it? suggest me
do you have to take the back of the phone apart to remove the front glass only from the digitizer?
Do you ship outside the US??
I have a s6 edge gold I have a cracked front screen
I am gonna order the kit fro eBay and diy just like you
What temp with the heat gun am I aiming for with it and a infared temp gun
I have
Extremely impressive! However, given the amount of time it took to complete, I feel as though it's not worth the cost to repair - at least in a commercial repair shop setting. For home repairs? Absolutely! But this is so much precious time being used on one phone that could be spent fixing several other devices for higher profit margins. I could be wrong though, and I will gladly admit so if someone shows that it can be cost-effective.
where can i get that glue yu put on .. or does it come with the glass if i buy it on ebay
Thanks for the encouraging video. I tried but did not succeed. Very important not to bend at any time. I damaged the LCD so I got a bright green thin line from top to bottom of the display. My bad, of course, but be very very very careful when you try this at home. No I´m going to visit samsung to have a complete lcd replace.
What glue did you use?!? im going to attempt this.
Great video. Question please. I bought a replacement screen and now I am surprised when you did peel of the screen it did say Samsung still. Does the Samsung logo stick on another Samsung logo or do I get something wrong here?
Yes it does same thing here with this repair two logos you'll see in the glass replacement an digitizer
What kind of wire do you use to cut through the glue?
How long did it take you to get the glass off?
Do you not have to replace the OCA film?
did the front camera look ok after this?
Okay. I regret not doing more research before getting the glass. Now, I have a glass replacement and realized it's so tedious with the glue and all that I don't have. But great video tho!
Would you be able to do this again repairing the back glass to, making a full tutorial video? I can provide you with the phone and glass cost?
+stan jakson i sure can
email me info@ercellutions.com
any advice on replacing the glass only on s7 edge??
OMG thanks you just saved my life
Mimi Arfaoui
can u post your video
did you remove the battery ec on the back?
You are the man dude nice work
hey is this same for the edge + ?
how long did you let dry?
did you remove just the glue or the digitizer sticker deal like that other guy tech MD is that why he must it up?
Great video, thank you so much it realy helps a lot.
Can you PLZ tell me if the replacement is glass or plastic?? I bought a set to repair my S6 Edge and got plastic just like the Temper screen protector
Forgot to mention that once u get glass off, and what u were touching is the loca sheet not digitalizer.. that's why it was so hard to remove the glue. you can remove it with heat and it's pretty thick stuff. Peels right off once heated
+T Payne are you sure that's not important and can be reomoved?
It has the purpose of giving the flex lcd an even surface. But it's not really needed
I remove adhesive with a homemade solution. So it's plastic once I'm done.
hopefully one of you guys can answer since you have experience, after i remove the glass is it necessary to remove the loca sheet from the bottom ? and if i leave it and pour the loca on top like he did will that leave a noticeable gap between the phone and the glass?. Thanks in advance
any updates?
I managed to crack this with a otter box case. Didn't even notice to later that it cracked. I feel bad because it wasn't even my phone. So I actually may try a glass replacement on this device. I've had actives where I've tried removing the whole assembly but failed miserably! This is gonna be a journey!
fantastic, only what I can say is fantastic.
perfect work, i have problems to stick the corners of the phone, i dont know what can i do, i left the phone in horn for more of 1 hour and the corners doesnt sticking, can u help me??
did the glue stuck the home button after it dryed?
Do you NEED UV flashlight or can it dry on its own?
what glue your use
how much would it cost to send my s6 edge to you for a screen repair. the crack isn't that bad and there is no damage to the LCD but my local phone repair store won't just replace e the glass they want to replace the LCD as well which is 250$ that I don't have.
friend taking me to UV glue can use any UV flashlight? or alum specific to this type of service ? please help ae , thank you
how hot it should be to start removing the glass?
How many hours did it actually take you to get the glass off?
Will this work for the edge plus
can you use any s6 edgge modell glass screen or the 1 on your phone
what brand r the cards. I bought 6 different ones. all of them were the wrong ones.
hey I have a question....
the film between the glass and the digitizer of my phone has come off...can I just apply the glue there or do I need the film?
can you take the front glass off and use just the phone without the front glass? please answer me
need to repair my s6 edge plus, just outer glass, may i send it to you, and how much is the cost? thanks in advance
would this work on the galaxy s7 edge as well.
I'm needing to know this also??
i've seen a video about the S7 edge, there is a problem with the glue, leaving bad black marks on the screen with this kind of replacement technique... haven't seen a prober video since then...
Alex Wazza if too much loca glue is used it will seep between the layers of the display causing dark spots within the display. You really need to be careful at this point as its very easy to get overflow.
is the phone still holding up ok? I would like to use this same method
how how did you set the heatgun to be
how long u use the uv light to make the loca glue dry?
depends on how strong your light is
I have a question what type of glue did you used??
uv loca glue 2500
Looks like you got an air bubble in the top right corner on account of pushing the UV glue too quickly down, instead of letting gravity do the job or using some very light weight on top of the glass.
i have a galaxy s6 edge plus that needs just the glass replaced. i have the whole kit but i dont want too chance messing it up. would i be able to send it to you and pay you to do it for me?
hey bro, where did you get the green glass?. mine just broke at the sides too
am getting desperate
why is there always someone out there who just can't accept that we are not all perfect like them , great vidio on this phone , this must have taken you an hour plus , I do not have the patients to do this I will throw it before I finish or screw it upi
can i use a Tempered Glass screen after removing that glass on the lcd/digitizer
can you use this procedure for S7
would it be possible to do this with fishing line instead of a wire?
Kendall Reis go to a crafts store find the SMALLEST beading wire they sell..
use that.. finishing line will break and cause hard scratches on the black screen once you put it back together you will see the scratches under it
where did you get those glasses and is it 100% real
does it matter if the glue goes over the lens
what is that liquid thing that you put before placing the digitizer man?
Loca glue
Can u do this on the 7?
I tried to do this with mine. I thought it was going great until i had all the old glass off. i tried to power it on to see if it worked and the screen flickered a few times and then that was it. the phone still works, but no screen. did i break the display? is there any option other than buying a a screen with the display? if not, i guess i have the front glass replacement for sale........
how do you know how much glue to apply.. and dont get residue on the sides once you press it
