    I have since sold the freewire and got the whim, and the Harley branded Sena 20s. I feel that I should have done this first. I wanted apple car play. Now I have it and everything works flawlessly.

    just to let you know the reason the trike pulls to the right is cause when you hit the rear brake hard it goes to the first brake caliper first and locks up first causing the trike to pull to the right ride it nice all will be good gratz on your new ride

    In Alaska, our H.D. dealer will mount the lever for the seat back on the heat sheild so you're not burning your fingers on the cylinder if it's hot. Its very professional looking! I agree with you on backrest. Ladt year at Sturgis after years of suffering i spent $172 installed for a Hogworks adjustable and its the difference between night and day.

    Excellent description of your Tri Glide and the accessories you have added to it . I have a 2018 model in the vivid black colour the same as yours. On purchase I had the tour pack rack , Trike saddlebags , heated grips and rear bumper added to it . Going on what you have said on your video I have recently got the 15 inch windshield and the non adjustable backrest for it . Really enjoyed your video and you have a fantastic Tri Glide . Ride in the United Kingdom and the extra comfort of the heated grips are a must here with the ever changing weather. Keep safe my friend

      Thanks for the reply. I should’ve bought a try glide 10 years ago. I love those saddlebags as you probably do too. And I am enjoying the 15 inch windshield same as you. I bet those heated grips are nice. I do not have those, maybe someday

      windsurfed1 . The trunk guard / bumper is highly recommended by me too . I reversed too far on our drive and hit the double gates and the trunk guard saved the trunk etc on my trike . No damage to my trike at all . I think it really compliments the rear of the trike and makes it complete. No problems too with lowering the trunk lid . I had a BMW R1200 RtSe before I got the trike and found it too heavy with being loaded up and my wife Debbie on the back and loved the looks on the Tri Glide and decided to get one . The pannier bags from the BMW fit perfectly into the trunk side by side and the top case bag into the top tour pack so it was a winner all round. They all couldn't have been a better fit . Very tempted too by your description of the fan side pods too

      windsurfed1 yes I love my Tri Glide, such a more relaxed riding experience compared with a two wheel motorcycle I find now that I am 60 years old. No worries about the weight especially with a camber on the road and can load it as much as I like with stuff, can't believe how much I can load on it and it still does the job it says on the tin so to speak. I absolutely love it and the motor is superb with the torque in it . Best machine I ever bought for me at my age

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  3 года назад +1

      @@TheGarlee Totally agree with you on all the above. Rode yesterday had a gas of a time. Lots of fun power. I put the Harley Davidson cool flow fan on. And I put Jim’s force flow fan on. Have not been able to use them yet because the weather has been cool. As the weather warms up I’m sure they will come in to play. I sure am enjoying the motorcycle though. I just turned 10,000 miles on it. That is incredible for me.

Also I just added a trike mid step which I really haven’t had the experience to comment on it but it seems like it’s going to be great. I just finished an install video of the trike mid step and upload it to RUclips, so it’s on there now. Also just added some Dakota digital gauges. Which I am making a video for And will be uploading here in the near future. I wish I would have bought a Triglide 10 years ago. I so much enjoy it now And you will too. Well done. Like the mods. I have the same bike. I upgraded to the heated hammock seat with heated grips and put a 2” lift kit on the back which helped a lot with turning and passenger and luggage weight.

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  3 года назад +1

      Hum, sounds like you did some modifications that maybe I might do in the future. Yesterday I just added a HD OEM electrical cigarette lighter socket in the rear tour pak the cvo models come standard with them. So this one just plugged right in and mounted with existing bolts. The hardest part was cutting the liner to make room for the socket. I have since discarded the Sena free wire and had the whim installed. I like that much better since now I can use Siri with the push of the button on the handlebars. I also added the trike mid step which I really like also. Also the CVO models come with tire pressure monitoring system. Mine does not. So I bought a third party TPMS. [(Sykik Rider SRTP-670)Amazon $94] it mounts to your handlebars. Very nice. Anyway glad to see you bought a Triglide. I have been thinking about the lift kit. Which brand did you buy? And what part of the country do you live in?

    Very cool! Great video. You are really making me want to buy a Harley trike. I just recently sold my 2009 Road King and bought a really nice 2006 Heritage Softail from a friend. I sold the R.K. because it had gotten too heavy for me after my bilateral knee surgeries and I was starting to be afraid of dropping it every time I came to a stop or made a sharp turn at slow speeds. The Heritage seems perfect for now, light and nimble, but at 66, I'm thinking of the future and want to ride as long as possible. My next bike will most definitely be a Harley 114" trike!😁👍

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  3 года назад +2

      Bike getting too heavy, almost 66 (september), losing my edge, losing my balance. Fell over last spring. (2020) All of these contributed to my decision to buy a HD Triglide. I want to be able to ride much into the future. So I know how a lot of guys are thinking at our age. I wish I would have done it 10 years ago. So much more relaxing. Only problem is, $$$$. Even for a used one. I had to pay and arm and a leg, Hocked my house, and sold my children into slavery just to get one. I wasn't much of a HD fan to begin with. They do make a quality motorcycle though, and quality accessories. You get what you pay for! I think I got a great bike that will last a long time. I just bought it in July of 2020 and have over 10,000 miles on it. I never even got close to riding that much in my life. I guess that tells you something! Anyway I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

    On the threaded screw stud for tightening the seat down in the rear . Do you know what size the thread was and the length you put in ?Does it have any kind of top for screwing it down, such as phillips, straight edge , torx etc ? And then you just let the seat set on it ? I find trying to screw that long stud to be a real pain to get it in because it has to be absolutely straihgt and I have a custom seat thats a little longer. The way you 've got the stud looks like the way to go . Thanks

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  4 месяца назад +1

      Here is a measurement from my stock 2020 HD Tri Glide Handle bars. Hope this helps, somewhat.
      At the base to base inside measurement:
      14 1/2 inches.
      base to height 9 inches
      Length of top bar to end of bars. 10 1/2 inches.
      Lengh of bars, (inside to inside) side to side 30 1/2 inches.
      Height of bar ends vary depending on the angle you place your bars. Straight up my bar end height is 10 3/4 inches from the top of my bench.
      When I pull the bars to the position I would want the height would be 8 3/4 inches from the top of my bench.
      Kinda difficutlt to figure bars if you will like them or not.
      I got the kromeworks 2+2 bars . Satisified my neck burning but still now I wish I would have went a little higher and pulled back further. Maye another inch or 2. You just never know.
      Had I went with the latter I would have to got extention wires and so forth costing more. Next time if I ever do it again, I will do it myslef as the first time I paid the shop $$$$.... Keven Of DK Custom looks like he has the bars I would like to have. They look higher and pulled back nicely.

But I do have it now set up the way I want it and it is very comfortable and very pleasant to ride, especially with the new shocks that I installed and the front fork intiminators valves.
