I can confirm everything he is saying. I’ve owned mine for a year now. This bike seriously rips on the trails and handles ruts like a beast. I’m 52 and have been riding every brand since I was 4. This not only handles great on Pennsylvania terrain it’s one of the most comfortable bikes. My 15 yr old jumped on it for the first time and came back and said how it tore through the trails so smoothly. One thing I had to change right away was the trash coolant that they supplied. Get some ICE and also recommend the tusk fan. The bike will run hot even in 70 degrees. I’m on the east coast and didn’t have to change my carb jets at all. Bike starts on the first crank. Take the baffle out!!! Sounds even more braaaap !
Awesome video. Ty. I’m looking to get the same bike and also getting the street legal kit. I love the kit you showed us. Did you get it registered and plated? If so, was it easy? Thanks for your help
These china made bikes have been getting significantly better every year. downside is they are about twice as much as they used to be a couple years ago.
They are still cheap asf compared to Japanese bikes. you can literally get a full sized decent 300cc bike for 4k or less, rather than walking out a dealership 13k deep with paper work for the same performance
I have fell in love with this motorcycle. That color green and black pops awesome looking bike. Been debating on what to get from a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke a Japanese brand or European now this Chinese bike has really grown on me n im leaning towards this bike for sure , especially where i can have this bike delivered straight to my home n all the sites you have shown me. Are you still having good luck with that motorcycle n do you recommend i pull the trigger?
My man, thanks for making this video, im from the motorized bicycle (all china Motors)and looking to get into dual sports. Im looking at the templar x 250 and this bike. Do you have a recommendation and was the TM38 E not out when you bought this bike? Thanks again for the video 📹 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just got it on the road, they listed it as a Enduro at the DMV & insurance. But the title says Dirt Bike. You just have to have DOT tires (which it does stock) & proper lights/horn.
U might wanna fox that front brake line it’s supposed to run toward the back of the front forks not the front I know this because I did that same exact thing when I was putting it all together lol
Yeah, I would think hares and some enduros. No MX unless suspension was seriously upgraded which would cost near 5k. Which obviously would negate the cost/purpose of the bike. @@h2omechanic
I got the Acerbis 2250310001 which is the closest but have not installed it yet. The voltage regulator and maybe the coolant overflow need relocated. It has a fuel pump hole which I need to plate off and add a petcock. The two metal rods the gas tank sit on are just a fraction too long and will need cut off mayb 1/4"
Cool bike for sure. Just a suggestion.... re-route the front brake line inside the fork. If you are not sure how that is done, check out any off road bike. You really don't want to snag the line on a bush or worse.
It's a bad ass machine! Not geared for highway, but still a ripper! Like most Crf250 power . I have 15 hours on mine & its running great after I adjusted the carb & jets
Got any updates on this bike? What’s your top speed on different gear set in this. There isn’t really any videos or talk of this bike at all and I want to pull the trigger and get one for daily street use.
If even these Chinese copies survive few months or perhaps very few years, then try to re-sell them, and you will get close to nothing. Where is the saving then?
"Because it's liquid cooled it doesn't have a fan"? That's not how it works! Lol That is extremely strange because no liquid-cooled motorcycle comes without a radiator fan. I can't see how they designed and built this without putting a fan on it because the engine would overheat constantly. And would be destroyed within a day. I'm wondering if they just forgot to install the fan? I would never buy a liquid-cooled motorcycle, that's brand-new, that didn't have a fan. Mainly , well, because nobody's ever built one. Source in extreme design flaw or it was supposed to have the fan and they didn't install it, a china thing.
All Mx bikes come without a fan lol and most enduro bikes as well. At least the older enduro bikes because I’ve had a couple and one was a ktm 250 4t and overheating was a big problem because of no fan
Lmfao, it is not a KTM, the weight listed on the spec sheet for this is 100 lbs heavier than a ktm. they do however use KTM plastic and copied their bike to an extent, but no. I do think its cool though
I'm a family man, just never found someone worthy of being my child's mother. Luckily my girl now is top shelf and we both share a similar back story to Jonny Depp. I'm focusing on the bag 💰
3500 for a bike that still needs carb works and doesn’t come with a fan on the radiator produces the same horsepower as a 250cc, weighs more and has smaller tires. All those Chinese bikes should be capped at $2k.
Every new Yamaha and Honda carb'd bike we've owned (yz85, YZ250F, YZ450F, WR450F, TTR125, CRF250R) have had to be rejetted. None came with a fan. Practically all the big frame bikes have either 21 front and 18 or 19 rear tires.

You work hard !! Glad you treated yourself!!
Enjoy!!
Very good job on this review, you roll though good details without going off the wall on tangents!
I've definitely been waiting on an update on this
L@@ks awesome, great price too!! Love the upgrades you put into it. Enjoy!
Thank you for the video I've been looking at this company and all their bikes. This video was helpful 👍 Thank you 😊
I would definitely think about buying the dirtbike except I already found a good deal on a YZ 125 and I prefer two strokes anyways

Have the Japanese bikes gone down in price, over the last few years?
But now there 50%better you get what you pay for

Yeah and the economy has been the worst its ever been
There is "run good" and what the spark plug looks like. What's the spark plug look like for tuning? NO links for any parts you got in description? =(
Tm 36 is same bike as the 38. Just 20cc smaller motor. Same frame and still liquid cooled
I'm littelry working 2 mins from a seller n been hunting a 300cc all week... Gonna see if they have these in stock
Where do you buy parts for these bikes like the triple tree’s engine parts ect. Ect.
Got a link for where you got the rear turn signals and brake lights? I can’t find them anywhere
They have a Facebook page StreetOHV that's where the store is too
Great info can you do a video on the air filter and oil change info. THX
Great content

Hey man are the tm36 and tm38 carbs the same as the jetting?
Idk, this guy is saying he didn't know that you can't use normal oil.... Not the most credentialed opinion....I appreciate you for making this though
Hey man can you help me with filling my coolant reservoir...ingot a tm36 300cc
We’re do you get the jets from?
What kind of rear brake calipers fit on that??
Did you change the gearing yet im.needing more top end but idk what to buy
How do I find new rear break pads to order what do I search?
Send a email to Motobuys & see if they stock the part. They've sent me stuff before. Or remove the pads & see if honda 250crf pads look the same.
I’m trying to find just the motor I’m having a hell of a time I have a project for motor
You'll have to buy a NC250 motor & then buy the 298/300cc top end kit separately. These are nc250 engines/ bottom ends
Hey man i just bought the tm36, is the oil capacity the same for the tm36? 1.7qts?
Yes
So did the title say offroad only, or does it say motorcycle so you can make it street legal?

Where did you get the button lights
I want this so bad but I really would like to race it. Do you think after getting it tuned up and tip top,and frame wise, that it’s race worthy?
Not MX worthy but maybe Enduro.
Yeah, I would think hares and some enduros. No MX unless suspension was seriously upgraded which would cost near 5k. Which obviously would negate the cost/purpose of the bike. @@h2omechanic
Any idea what larger fuel tanks might fit?

Nice bike! Bet its fun. Do you have alot of trails where you are? Also you should do a ride along video!
There's a dozen old 1920 copper Mines near my house, so there's old roads leading everywhere!
What aftermarket exhaust will fit on this bike??
@@Crunchykyle not sure. But remove the spark arrestor & it sounds good and has a big performance impact

Exactly, just like an mtb...
And how comfortable is the seat
I been thinking about getting one of these, at first I looked into Hawk 250's but this thing will literally eat a Hawk alive.
It's a bad ass machine! Not geared for highway, but still a ripper! Like most Crf250 power .
I have 15 hours on mine & its running great after I adjusted the carb & jets
What's the oil change intervals
Every 6 months with moderate driving. Every 3 months if you ride alot.
Anyone found a place for replacement rear brake pedal?
Contact motobuys
@@h2omechanic bvpowersports had parts, just emailed them.
Did you change carburetor?
Nope, just bought a jet kit for a Yamaha banshee & played around with jet sizes til it ran good & the plug looked tan colored
Please add up the list of the stuff that you added to make street legal. That’s my idea to buy one and turn it street legal
It's a kit.( Street ohv ) on Facebook sells the kit.
@@h2omechanic But the speedometer and the rest of the meter like engine hrs
Where did you get the clutch cover
@@aaronfitzpatrick5518 it comes like that in that model for the tm38 the tm36 is all the same color grey not two tone
I think it may be Rich. I seen some black smoke.
Top speed?
65 with stock gear set. ⚙️

My tm36 is liquid cooled
Set up some suspension videos and all that. Jump it. I want this one, but wanted a bit of a research first
I stay in Scotland its cral for motorcross bikes all banned off road brutal

True. But 30hp is definitely enough for a novice rider to enjoy. But a honda 250 does out pace it. I just like the 3k price & fun factor

KTM plastics. Period
