  • This is a video of my trip to the Bonsai Museum at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden during the summer of 2017. They had on display many tropical species of trees! Here are the species found in this video:

    Citrus aurantifolia - Key Lime
    Carissa macrocarpa - Natal Plum
    Bursera fagaroides - Torchwood Copal
    Ficus deltoidea - Mistletoe Fig
    Bougainvillea - Bougainvillea 'Hawaii'
    Callistemon linearis / Melaleuca linearis - Narrow-leaved bottlebrush

    So nice to see the tropical trees from the BBG. That little lime at 13:25 really caught my eye! Beautiful roots and structure. Thanks so much for showing the potential that some of these species have!
