    Thanks for an informative video.
    You mentioned, once you had added the firefox plugin & imported your 1password details to then 'remove them' - what did you mean by this & could you give a little more clarity please?
    In terms of setting up for a mobile device, do you also need to add the firefox plugin for the browser on the mobile & have this as default? Also with 1password on mobile...does this allow you to login directly to a given app...e.g Netflix, Prime, Disney etc etc without having to go via the browser? if so could you provide any details on how this is set up & syncs back to 1password on the PC.
    Thanks very much for your content & helping to provide privacy safeguards...very helpful! 👍🏼

    A couple of questions for you. Is it possible to make my vault available to my wife with full rights to add, change and delete passwords i.e., without using the share option? I'm thinking that if I just share a vault, she cannot make changes to it. Also, would she be able to use the two-factor authentication on her computer or phone?

    Can this be used with windows 11 and Defender. Would it be easier to just get Norton. This seems overwhelming.

    1Password DOES NOT work the at all on the Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10 same easy way as it does on Chrome. This is as of 28 Jul 2021. It just randomly throws the username as the password...unreal!

    Josh I screwed up big time. When I created my 1Password account it said that I had to supply a password. Since I didn't see the word "Master" (I don't know if I missed it or it wasn't displayed) I used a password that I don't want as my master password. I thought that password was just to login into 1Password.
    Is there anyway to change this? Could I create a 1Password account with a different email address? If I can how do I get to default to that email address? I can't believe that I messed up so bad.
    Thanks

      Glad you were able to get this figured out, Michael! (he sent me an email saying that it the master password was just called the "account password" and could be changed).

    I have 3 copies of a hand-written username/password repository that I keep in a drawer by my computer at home, somewhere in my brother's place and somewhere at my folks' place. I somewhat regularly update all three, assuming I've acquired new accounts somewhere online.

    Thanks for showing us a copy of what the emergency recovery PDF looks like.
    Any more tips on where we should store this? Keeping it in a lock box at your house might be scary cause what if a tech-savvy thief broke in.
    But just thinking about it, if you cut out the part on the A4 sheet that says “1Password” they wouldn’t know what to do with it :) But of course, your trusted family member would need to be aware of where it is an the fact that it’s a 1Password master key :)

    How do we know the Firefox extension is safe to use to communicate with our password manager?

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  3 года назад +2

      The vault is secured by your master password no matter if it’s an app or an extension. I guess there’s a small bit of trust involved, but you don’t have to use the extension if you feel uneasy about that.

    When I use the password manager, is it safe to turn on autofill, or can it be a security risk?

    • @AllThingsSecured

      I don't believe there's a bit security risk, especially now that Apple has fixed that copy/paste loophole in iOS 15.

      It's advisable. Passwords are like a lock on your door and 2FA is the deadbolt.

      Your passwords remain in their respective vaults and categories in read only mode. You can still export them to another password manager of your choice :)

    What do you think about this comment in the terms of service "AgileBits reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service or any feature or functionality thereof at any time without notice. All rights, title and interest in and to the Service will remain with and belong exclusively to AgileBits." ? Basically they can shut down at any time. I wonder what happens to your passwords if that happens. Not that it is likely to happen though.

      For most password managers, your computer/device keeps a local copy of the password vault. If the company shits down, you’ll still have access to your passwords, it just may no longer sync between devices.

    I’m not great with this type of computer sites. After watching your video, I know this is way over my head. I assumed the password manager would just go ahead and change the password automatically when I went to each site. Maybe I’ll try it in 10 years when it is more user friendly. 😢

    What happens if someone bribes and intimidates password managers’ bosses to have access to their information, And…you have lost everything?

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  Год назад

      Your password vault is encrypted so that not even the “bosses” could log in if they wanted to. And if they lose everything, there’s still the local copies kept on all your devices.

    Sorry, like a lot of tutorials, you speak like an expert not like a beginner. I gave up after a minute when you used the word “vault”. You assume I know what this means. I don’t, I’m a beginner but still quite computer literate. This tutorial is not for beginners.
