Not to mention how it's basically rigging the die, and as Luigi is the house "The house always wins." It's probably meant to reflect this appearance of Luigi. That, and it also reflects his goofier nature in comparison to Mario as well as his tendency to slip up / make mistakes (fails to trigger on occasion). Ultimately it fits him very well, just requires a bit more knowledge and character analysis.

I feel like Waluigi was done dirty here. Since him and Wario are often seen together, and they're BOTH known to be quite greedy, him stealing coins makes perfect sense.
Daisy's debut into Mario Party actually had her have the Cellular Shopper item as her favorite item. The Cellular Shopper allowed you to ring up a shop and buy an item, so Daisy does in fact have a connection with shops.

Mario's ability is also a reference to how the Mushroom works, which is also a nice nod to how Mario generally loves mushrooms. It is pretty standard, but eh, Mario's generally the "standard" kind of character anyway. So, I'd personally give his suitability either a 4 or 5 star rating.
"Does Yoshi have a history of producing or duplicating items?" Maybe not duplicating, but producing is a definite yes. Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros has him award items if he consumes enough fruit, and even in Mario Party, his character orb has him disarm traps to add to your inventory. If anything, Yoshi sounds like he's been nerfed in this game as he before can just up and steal.

Bowser would totally be a medley of his old minigames from 4-7 but you're purposely trying to lose points. Everyone starts out with 25 points (except the player who started it, they start out with 20), and the 'winner' of each mini game gets 10 points while the 'losers' lose 5. The chump with the lowest score 'loses'.
I think it would be cool if you made a video about what powers you would give the existing buddies that fit them better. Like for Yoshi I think stealing an item would work more with his character because of his tongue. Or Luigi being a ghost hunter could make it that you don't loose coins when targeted by a boo.
Also a bonus for Mario is that usually more than one person is either close or tries to go for the buddy, so having a higher dice role makes it more unlikely for them to take your buddy

If i recall correctly, in Mario Party 6's team mode, if you pair up Daisy and Toadette, their team name will be "Shopping Buddies" Not only that, but in Mario Kart Wii, Coconut Mall's staff ghost is Daisy, which might mean Daisy either owns the place, or just goes there often.

6:26 Luigis ability might be a slight reference to the fact that luigi's main thing is that he jumps higher than mario. Its inconsistency even works because luigi is harder to control.
Nintendo should take notes, because I find it stupid how out of 22 playable characters, only 10 of them are Jamboree buddies and have Showdown Minigames. There should be 12 more Showdown Minigames for the playable characters that aren’t Jamboree buddies.
In Rosalina's ally minigame if a master CPU triggers it, they are literally guaranteed to win as they cannot be overtaken even if you make 0 mistakes. So it's actually kid of an overpowered advantage.

I would have toad's ability to harken back to captain toad where he would chuck a turnip at an opponent and steal a star from them and his minigame can do the same thing
On the topic of ninji's ability, I think that since he's a ninja he could maybe have a chance to use a kind of smokescreen when you land on a bad space, like a red or bad luck space, that allows you to teleport over one space to avoid the effect. It may be a bit of a situational ability but can still be a bit powerful being able to have a chance to avoid something like a Bowser space. And now for Koopa Troopa, I think his ability could be that at the start of each turn, he will try to sell you a random cheap item from the shops, he's kind of like a miniature walking shop, and will ask if you're interested in buying a cheap item, you won't be able to choose, it's random, but it would be something like a pipe or a mushroom or a cursed dice that he randomly tries to sell you at the beginning of each turn. This keeps him a bit balanced by you not being able to choose an item and by still having to pay for it. For Bowser I think that he could maybe leave a fire trail wherever he goes that functions as a simple red space before the actual spaces effect, making you lose three coins if you land somewhere that the player with Bowser has passed on the same turn. This caters more to players that can travel more, making more opportunities for players to lose coins by the fire trail.
One idea I felt like could fit bowser is that he behaves like a “get out of jail free card” once when he joins you, and you can use them to avoid being in different situations, about to lose stars thanks to chance time? Nope that block is rolling over and somebody else is swapping shit with forth, Ect Ect, giving you the option of choosing the right moment to use it, and then when you do bowser refuses to help again until he is out
For Bowser I had an idea Hability : Before rolling the die use Bowser's phone for a random player (but there is a chance that it can fail) Minigame: Bowser's challenges of doom Basically it would be playing the 3 Bowser minigames in Mario Party 4 -Darts Of Doom -Fuits Of Doom -Balloon Of Doom Every time a player loses they will be eliminated, the last player standing will have Bowser as an ally Advantage: In "Darts Of Doom" the player will have a golden dart that will be worth double points In the Pro Rules this buddy will not be able to appear
I feel you underestimate how good some abilities are since you can steal them by passing an opponent and then use their ability later that turn, such as with Bowser Jr
I've got to disagree about peach. Her mini game is not only difficult, but it provides excellent opportunities for vicious gang ups when playing with players. The half off stars doesn't seem great on paper, but it basically makes it easy to buy two stars in many situations, and stars are all that matters in the end.
Bowser: Add bowser space on the board, goes away if someone lands on it, also you're immune to bowser spaces Pauline: Bring an opponent to a random space Toad: Steals 3 - 10 coins from an opponent of your choice Toadette: Has a chance to bring the star 10 - 15 spaces away from you (if you want her to) Koopa Troopa: get 1 item for free Goomba: Adds 3 to dice roll each turm Monty mole: Uses opponent's item for them Shy guy: Takes off his mask and frightens opponent, causing them to drop 3 - 10 coins or item (you don't get them) Birdo: Steal opponents item if you pass them Ninji: Skips random opponents turn Spike: Place honey on a spot, and if someone passes it, they stop on that spot Boo: Get a discount from boo
Especially weird that he then later in the list rated Wario's ability a 5/5. Wario, on average, will get you somewhere in the ballpark of 11 coins. Peach will allow you to shave off 20. So it's beyond me how he not only rated Wario's ability higher than peach, but put them at complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
I think Nintendo could maybe buff Yoshi and Waluigi's abilities so that they don't require passing someone, they would just happen to someone random at the start of the turn. Also I love the ideas you came up with for all the other characters' abilities! I think for Birdo you could make it so she turns 2 random spaces into 10 coin steal traps, not as devastating as Bowser Jr's half steal traps but more likely to be landed on.
Goombas showdown level: You move a platform in the same way the luigis logic in the sharpcask fight works. You stack parachuting goombas as tall as possible. You avoid other enemies like bobombs and koopas. Tallest stack wins, and the advantage is that you get three instances where you can hold the platform in place for a little that you can use at any time. The name would be "Tower Hour"
I have another idea for Ninji: After rolling... Choose to land on a different space around your landing spot. This would work because Ninji is known for jumping, so you could jump to another space.
I see luigi's ability like a critical hit. It's like in mario and luigi with the mustache stat. Luigi has got more mustache initially than mario so he can do more crits, while mario has more damage, so he's got the most consistent damage.

That has potential to snowball very quickly on some maps in the game like Rainbow Galleria where I've seen people get 3 stars in one turn from buying a star full price, stealing a star from boo, then getting another star because it spawned right in front of them. With peach that would have been 2 stars at the first star exchange, then stealing about 8-13 coins and a star from Boo because of Peach as his buddy, and then buying another two stars for 20 coins giving him a 5 star advantage in one turn. half off stars are no joke.
@@Spec_Draws it's causing his ranking to overvalue consistency. He basically ignored both peach and Daisy's power because it "might not activate" which isn't a fair way to rank. That's why characters like Mario and Wario are ranked so high, because they are consistent, when in reality Wario isnt that good and Mario is above average.
Waluigi is by far the most useless Buddy with the most luck based minigame. I can’t understand why he placed so high, because I really think he’s the worst one by a landslide.
I have a couple ideas too : - Toadette : At a star. You can buy 3 stars for 70 coins - Toad : Before your turn. Give you a Mushroom - Birdo : At an item space. Choose what item you want (from the roulette) - Bowser : Call Impostor Bowser on opponents you passes - Goomba : At a VS Space. Choose the amount of coins from 5 to 25 - Shy Guy : At an item shop. Steal an item from the shop randomly - Koopa : Before rolling a dice. You have 75% chance of rolling 10 and 25% chance of rolling 0 - Monty Mole : You can choose your roll from 1 to 4 or roll a regular dice - Boo. Call boo on opponents you passes ton steal coins or star from them - Spike : At an event space. Choose if the event should happen - Pauline : Makes you play in 1st - Ninji : After your turn. Change the space you're on randomly for the rest of the game
Pauline and Ninji could be better. Pauline: Before rolling, call a random player to your space. Ninji: Makes you vanish at the end of your turn, making it so you can't be targeted by Boo or items.

I will forever scream in rage whenever I see Rosalina appear on the board in remembrance of the time where she made me take 2 different spins on the Bowser space in one turn, being passed off to my dad the next turn, and then having him steal both of my 2 stars; I went from having over 50 coins, 2 stars, and 1st place completely secured to having 0 coins, 0 stars, a lovely 4th place, and a lasting vendetta against Dad (this doesn't even have anything to do with Rosalina's ability; I just hate her for this oddly coincidental order of events).
Also, for Peach, getting 2 stars for the same price as 1 is insanely busted as you get too much value from it. Also for Daisy, saving coins is extremely important. Lastly, while Wario will always be useful, theres a high likelyhood you only get 3 to 4 coins.
I think Someone’s ability should be giving you better options when landing on a lucky space, and getting less terrible options on unlucky spaces. Not sure who though, Maybe Boo?
Daisy’s ability suits her because she loves going shopping. Rosalina’s suits her because those items are actually her baby lumas transforming off camera.
Weird that Yoshi's minigame got rated so highly. My experience with the minigame is that the player who rounds the first corner the earliest, is also the one who wins the race. There is no catchup mechanic and the course is pretty easy, so unless the 1st player makes a massive mistake, you're just spending 2-ish minutes on a minigame, already knowing who's going to win.
Two Buddy abilities I would really like is one that let you use 2 items in 1 turn, and one that let you move backwards. Also, Ninji's ability is really cute!
So let me get this straight... Peach: If you pass the star once while she is your budy, you'll save 20 coins to buy 2 stars. 1/5 ability. Wario: If you win Wario during during the turn of someone who is in front of you during the turn order, and no one passes you in the entirety of 3 turns and you hit three 1/6 chances back to back to back, you'll get the maximum payout of 24 coins. 5/5 ability
Imagine thinking Peach's ability is 1 star rates, youre absolutely crazy. Shes extrmely strong and is easy to activate in comparison to say Luigi. Honestly your ratings for a lot of this was just bad
Actually, DK as a buddy basically was 2 golden pipes for me in 1 game as 2 turns in a row, I decided to go to a random space and it teleported me to 1 space to the star twice in a row. Which allowed me to get 4 stars since I had the coins. Doing this normally would cost a whopping 130 coins
I quite like the idea of Pauline singing at the beginning of your turn if shes your buddy. This will target a random opponent and they'll be be so stunned that they become unable to move for one turn. Similarly, Birdo is an incredibly flirty character so I think it would be cool if she could blow a kiss or something and stun all 3 of your opponents into handjng over 3 coins each. As for Ninji, maybe he would be better for the warp block idea you had for Pauline because he's used to jumping around? As for Goomba, he's known for being a minion who lives to serve so I think it might be fun if be pulls out his own dice block and rolls. But unlike Mario's ability, you can ONLY choose between your original roll or the one Goomba offers.
My take on what their possible abilities would be: Toad: Get bonus coins after minigames, enough to always gain 10 regardless of the place you got. (0 coins if first, 7 if second, 8 if third, 10 if last) It also lets you spin the wheel when starting the final stretch. Monty Mole: You are Immune to Red Spaces and Unlucky Spaces (Monty threatens the space, digging on it) Boo: You are Immune to Boo's stealing and Boo's Bell effects. (Boo convinces his peers to leave if any enemy targets you) Bowser: You are Immune to Bowser Spaces and Bowser Phone effects. (Bowser tramples the Bowser space, and Bowser Phone dials him directly, canceling the effect) Ninji: At the start of your turn, Ninji asks if you want to become Sneaky, skipping any Events on the board as you move. Ninji rolls a Creepy Dice that adds to yours when you become Sneaky. Toadette: At the start of your turn, Toadette moves the Star on the board. On Mario's Rainbow Castle she forces the tower movement. Pauline: At the start of your turn, Pauline sings Jump Up Super Star. This has a 33% chance to spawn a hidden block for you. Birdo: At the start of your turn, Birdo spits a Egg that contains loot for you, either 5 coins, nothing, or the current-board specific item. (Bowser Byway Lever, Markup Sticker, Steamer Ticket, Tide Shell, Tower Turner, Turbo Dice or Wiggler's Bell) (33% of each) Spike: As you pass another player, Spike spits a Ball that hits that enemy, forcing them to lose 10 coins. Goomba: As you pass another player, Goomba asks if you want to duel against the enemy. On the last 5 turns, dueling allows to bid a Star instead of coins. Koopa Troopa: As you pass another player, Koopa spins and hits the enemy, breaking one of their items at random. Shy Guy: As you pass another player, Shy Guy removes his mask to scare the enemy, forcing them to run in the opposite direction. (You roll a Creepy DIce for their movement, they don't trigger the space they landed)
I feel like Daisy’s ability would suit Pauline so well, similar as Peach, she’s famous and popular, she could definitely have discount at shops, and she lives in a big city, shops and her would go a long way in (and I’m pretty sure the npcs there say something about her promoting the store or smt like that)
Ninji is known for jumping so his ability can prevent bad events spaces from affecting you by jumping you and himself to safety Ninji's showdown minigame can be a game of hide and seek in extreme darkness or a 3 part minigame that test timing, stealth, and/or speed(Ninja skills basically) the advantage will give you a buff for one of the 3 minigames
I really like the idea for Bowser's ability, for the same reason I dislike waluigi's ability. Since budies get stolen when another player passes you, an ability like waluigi's is not great, since using it usually means putting yourself into a position where the budy can just be stolen right back. But since the ability of Bowser is to turn their dice into a creepy dice, this automatically lessens that issue. Moving less spaces makes it harder for them to pass you on their turn.
Heres my ideas of what effects each new Jamboree buddy will do: Bowser: immune to red, unlucky and Bowser Space effects. Koopa Troopa: Gives you 10 coins or 20 in homestretch at the start of each turn. Toad: Gives you a Mushroom at the start of every turn. Toadette: Gives you a better chance to get rare items at item spaces or item shops. Birdo: Copies a item of your choosing from a opponent IF you pass them. Goomba: Rolls either a 8 or a 5 on each turn after you roll a dice Shy Guy: steals a random item from a apponent when you pass them. Monty Mole: Immune to traps. Boo: Steals random coins from a opponent when you pass them. Spike: Throws a spiked ball that forces opponents behind you to move back spaces. Pauline: Sings and forces opponents to move on you space. Ninji: Turns you invisible and immune to negitive items, but will makes you impossible to buy stars or items if the Jamboree effect is active.
Birdo could have an ability like her special item in mario kart double dash. Just shoot a homing egg item at people that makes them lose coins and you gain a random item.
For Bowser I always thought that as a Jamboree buddy he could create new Bowser spaces on spaces that player lands on aside from ones like event spaces. I also thought his ally minigame could involve 3 Bowser minigames from past Mario Party games in a similar manner to Mario’s Three-peat. I am not exactly sure what Bowser minigames would work best however.

In the SM64 DS version, each character have their set of Mini games and all of Luigi’s minigames were casino/gambling based so his ability actually does suit him quite well
Luigi’s ability is probably a reference to how in platformers he’s faster and jumps higher but slippery. Or a reference to the Mario & Luigi games where he’s the butt if the joke but really pulls through in a clutch
I'm sorry but this probably the worst of the buddy tier lists I've seen and much more different then mine with Waluigi being the worst of partners followed by Luigi and DK, while Peach and Daisy being the best abilities in the game and the best of the minigames
7:38 bro really said (paraphrased) "you'll probably get more coins from Wario, than the 20 you save with Peach" Even in the optimal scenario, where you win the Wario minigame during the turn of someone that goes before you, and Wario never gets taken from you, you get an average of 16.5 coins. With optimal luck you get 24. But the more likely scenario is that you get Wario during your own or someone else's turn, which means Wario will only trigger twice, giving you an average of 11 coins, and 16 coins being the maximum payout.
I was thinking of the similar concept for Ninji as a buddy which is similar to this video suggestion for it. Whenever a minigame is rolling to be picked out of the odds, Ninji ability as a buddy: basically most of the time giving you higher chance to get your minigame as an advantage.
I actually think Bowser could place Star Steal Traps on the spaces you land on, similar to his son, except stronger. His achievement for doing so would probably be named "Bowser's Loyal Minion!" or something like that.
Yoshi's ability should have been to STEAL an item from any opponent you pass. Or, when you pass an opponent, Yoshi eats them and forces them to move with you until you land on a space, where Yoshi either spits them out or eggs them. This can cause them to miss a star or ruin their plans. Also, here are my ideas for the other buddies: Toad: At an Item Space, choose what Item you get. Toadette: Items you use aren't used up. Birdo: When you pass an opponent, steal a random item from them. Bowser: Call Imposter Bowser on a random player. Koopa Troopa: Red and Blue space values are doubled again (+12 or -12 coins) Shy Guy: Cannot be stolen by other opponents when they pass you. Goomba: Nullifies any bad effect placed upon you by an opponent. Monty Mole: Adds 5 to your Dice Roll. Boo: The on-board Boo will steal half as many coins as usual. Ninji: Before you roll, choose if the space you land on will have any effect. Spike: A random opponent loses 10 Coins. Pauline: Before you roll, move a random opponent to your space (optional).
I got Bowser Jr the very first time I played Jamboree. You can make an absolute minefield on Wiggler's board with him. It'll just come at the cost of you losing like 50 coins from landing on those plant happening spaces that steal coins from you. I made the point past boo terrifying to go past because the plant was at 16 coins to steal if you land on it's happening space, on top of the half coin steal hex on both happening spaces. If you can land on the right spots with him you can make traveling the board really rough for your opponents. He's very useful, but hard to make work great for sure. I hard disagree on Peach's ability being a 1/5. Stars outvalue coins in every single way, so getting more stars for cheaper lets you hold onto more coins to convert into stars. And with every buddy giving you the choice to buy two stars at a star exchange you get two stars for the price of one when you do pass the star with Peach in tow. Buy two stars for 20 coins can set up into other plays like reaching Boo and getting two chances to steal. That 20 extra coins from not buying two stars for 40 might give you enough to steal a star even if you lose peach before Peach leaves before you can get to Boo with her.
Yeah, the high rating on the pinball machine definitely has me questioning. It feels so luck-based. I personally do dock a few points from Luigi's minigame because instead of having a unique task in each room, each room repeats once (except the final room). Once you're reached the halfway point, it starts feeling repetitive, because it literally does repeat the tasks.

Dk is prob the most chaotic ability landing on any space is a large gamble but on some boards this is a massive blessing like in the mall board you can use dk during the flash sale and warp infront of any shop or heck even the star.. sure its a gamble but a warp pipe you can use whenever in adition to a normal item if you location is somewhere you dont want to be is a massive power play

Daisy's debut into Mario Party actually had her have the Cellular Shopper item as her favorite item. The Cellular Shopper allowed you to ring up a shop and buy an item, so Daisy does in fact have a connection with shops.

Mario's ability is also a reference to how the Mushroom works, which is also a nice nod to how Mario generally loves mushrooms. It is pretty standard, but eh, Mario's generally the "standard" kind of character anyway. So, I'd personally give his suitability either a 4 or 5 star rating.

Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros has him award items if he consumes enough fruit, and even in Mario Party, his character orb has him disarm traps to add to your inventory. If anything, Yoshi sounds like he's been nerfed in this game as he before can just up and steal.

Bowser would totally be a medley of his old minigames from 4-7 but you're purposely trying to lose points. Everyone starts out with 25 points (except the player who started it, they start out with 20), and the 'winner' of each mini game gets 10 points while the 'losers' lose 5. The chump with the lowest score 'loses'.
I think it would be cool if you made a video about what powers you would give the existing buddies that fit them better.
Like for Yoshi I think stealing an item would work more with his character because of his tongue.

In Rosalina's ally minigame if a master CPU triggers it, they are literally guaranteed to win as they cannot be overtaken even if you make 0 mistakes. So it's actually kid of an overpowered advantage.
wario's minigame kinda makes sense as a quiz show with his past relationships with warioware.

On the topic of ninji's ability, I think that since he's a ninja he could maybe have a chance to use a kind of smokescreen when you land on a bad space, like a red or bad luck space, that allows you to teleport over one space to avoid the effect. It may be a bit of a situational ability but can still be a bit powerful being able to have a chance to avoid something like a Bowser space.
And now for Koopa Troopa, I think his ability could be that at the start of each turn, he will try to sell you a random cheap item from the shops, he's kind of like a miniature walking shop, and will ask if you're interested in buying a cheap item, you won't be able to choose, it's random, but it would be something like a pipe or a mushroom or a cursed dice that he randomly tries to sell you at the beginning of each turn. This keeps him a bit balanced by you not being able to choose an item and by still having to pay for it.
For Bowser I think that he could maybe leave a fire trail wherever he goes that functions as a simple red space before the actual spaces effect, making you lose three coins if you land somewhere that the player with Bowser has passed on the same turn. This caters more to players that can travel more, making more opportunities for players to lose coins by the fire trail.
One idea I felt like could fit bowser is that he behaves like a “get out of jail free card” once when he joins you, and you can use them to avoid being in different situations, about to lose stars thanks to chance time? Nope that block is rolling over and somebody else is swapping shit with forth, Ect Ect, giving you the option of choosing the right moment to use it, and then when you do bowser refuses to help again until he is out

Hability : Before rolling the die use Bowser's phone for a random player (but there is a chance that it can fail)

I've got to disagree about peach. Her mini game is not only difficult, but it provides excellent opportunities for vicious gang ups when playing with players. The half off stars doesn't seem great on paper, but it basically makes it easy to buy two stars in many situations, and stars are all that matters in the end.
Bowser: Add bowser space on the board, goes away if someone lands on it, also you're immune to bowser spaces
Pauline: Bring an opponent to a random space
Toad: Steals 3 - 10 coins from an opponent of your choice
Toadette: Has a chance to bring the star 10 - 15 spaces away from you (if you want her to)
Koopa Troopa: get 1 item for free
Goomba: Adds 3 to dice roll each turm
Monty mole: Uses opponent's item for them
Shy guy: Takes off his mask and frightens opponent, causing them to drop 3 - 10 coins or item (you don't get them)

Wario, on average, will get you somewhere in the ballpark of 11 coins. Peach will allow you to shave off 20. So it's beyond me how he not only rated Wario's ability higher than peach, but put them at complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

I think Nintendo could maybe buff Yoshi and Waluigi's abilities so that they don't require passing someone, they would just happen to someone random at the start of the turn. Also I love the ideas you came up with for all the other characters' abilities! I think for Birdo you could make it so she turns 2 random spaces into 10 coin steal traps, not as devastating as Bowser Jr's half steal traps but more likely to be landed on.
Goombas showdown level:
You move a platform in the same way the luigis logic in the sharpcask fight works. You stack parachuting goombas as tall as possible. You avoid other enemies like bobombs and koopas. Tallest stack wins, and the advantage is that you get three instances where you can hold the platform in place for a little that you can use at any time.
The name would be "Tower Hour"

I see luigi's ability like a critical hit. It's like in mario and luigi with the mustache stat. Luigi has got more mustache initially than mario so he can do more crits, while mario has more damage, so he's got the most consistent damage.
For Boo I came up with 30 coin star steals, and an increased coin yield. It’s pretty much, “Boos are more effective at stealing.”

That has potential to snowball very quickly on some maps in the game like Rainbow Galleria where I've seen people get 3 stars in one turn from buying a star full price, stealing a star from boo, then getting another star because it spawned right in front of them. With peach that would have been 2 stars at the first star exchange, then stealing about 8-13 coins and a star from Boo because of Peach as his buddy, and then buying another two stars for 20 coins giving him a 5 star advantage in one turn. half off stars are no joke.
@@Spec_Draws it's causing his ranking to overvalue consistency. He basically ignored both peach and Daisy's power because it "might not activate" which isn't a fair way to rank. That's why characters like Mario and Wario are ranked so high, because they are consistent, when in reality Wario isnt that good and Mario is above average.
Waluigi is by far the most useless Buddy with the most luck based minigame. I can’t understand why he placed so high, because I really think he’s the worst one by a landslide.

- Toad : Before your turn. Give you a Mushroom
- Birdo : At an item space. Choose what item you want (from the roulette)
- Bowser : Call Impostor Bowser on opponents you passes
- Goomba : At a VS Space. Choose the amount of coins from 5 to 25
- Shy Guy : At an item shop. Steal an item from the shop randomly
- Koopa : Before rolling a dice. You have 75% chance of rolling 10 and 25% chance of rolling 0
- Monty Mole : You can choose your roll from 1 to 4 or roll a regular dice
- Boo. Call boo on opponents you passes ton steal coins or star from them
- Spike : At an event space. Choose if the event should happen
- Pauline : Makes you play in 1st
- Ninji : After your turn. Change the space you're on randomly for the rest of the game

I will forever scream in rage whenever I see Rosalina appear on the board in remembrance of the time where she made me take 2 different spins on the Bowser space in one turn, being passed off to my dad the next turn, and then having him steal both of my 2 stars; I went from having over 50 coins, 2 stars, and 1st place completely secured to having 0 coins, 0 stars, a lovely 4th place, and a lasting vendetta against Dad (this doesn't even have anything to do with Rosalina's ability; I just hate her for this oddly coincidental order of events).
Also, for Peach, getting 2 stars for the same price as 1 is insanely busted as you get too much value from it. Also for Daisy, saving coins is extremely important. Lastly, while Wario will always be useful, theres a high likelyhood you only get 3 to 4 coins.
I think Someone’s ability should be giving you better options when landing on a lucky space, and getting less terrible options on unlucky spaces. Not sure who though, Maybe Boo?
Daisy’s ability suits her because she loves going shopping. Rosalina’s suits her because those items are actually her baby lumas transforming off camera.

Weird that Yoshi's minigame got rated so highly. My experience with the minigame is that the player who rounds the first corner the earliest, is also the one who wins the race. There is no catchup mechanic and the course is pretty easy, so unless the 1st player makes a massive mistake, you're just spending 2-ish minutes on a minigame, already knowing who's going to win.
Two Buddy abilities I would really like is one that let you use 2 items in 1 turn, and one that let you move backwards. Also, Ninji's ability is really cute!

Actually, DK as a buddy basically was 2 golden pipes for me in 1 game as 2 turns in a row, I decided to go to a random space and it teleported me to 1 space to the star twice in a row. Which allowed me to get 4 stars since I had the coins.
Doing this normally would cost a whopping 130 coins
I quite like the idea of Pauline singing at the beginning of your turn if shes your buddy. This will target a random opponent and they'll be be so stunned that they become unable to move for one turn. Similarly, Birdo is an incredibly flirty character so I think it would be cool if she could blow a kiss or something and stun all 3 of your opponents into handjng over 3 coins each. As for Ninji, maybe he would be better for the warp block idea you had for Pauline because he's used to jumping around? As for Goomba, he's known for being a minion who lives to serve so I think it might be fun if be pulls out his own dice block and rolls. But unlike Mario's ability, you can ONLY choose between your original roll or the one Goomba offers.

My take on what their possible abilities would be:
Toad: Get bonus coins after minigames, enough to always gain 10 regardless of the place you got. (0 coins if first, 7 if second, 8 if third, 10 if last) It also lets you spin the wheel when starting the final stretch.
Monty Mole: You are Immune to Red Spaces and Unlucky Spaces (Monty threatens the space, digging on it)
Boo: You are Immune to Boo's stealing and Boo's Bell effects. (Boo convinces his peers to leave if any enemy targets you)
Bowser: You are Immune to Bowser Spaces and Bowser Phone effects. (Bowser tramples the Bowser space, and Bowser Phone dials him directly, canceling the effect)
Ninji: At the start of your turn, Ninji asks if you want to become Sneaky, skipping any Events on the board as you move. Ninji rolls a Creepy Dice that adds to yours when you become Sneaky.
Toadette: At the start of your turn, Toadette moves the Star on the board. On Mario's Rainbow Castle she forces the tower movement.
Pauline: At the start of your turn, Pauline sings Jump Up Super Star. This has a 33% chance to spawn a hidden block for you.
Birdo: At the start of your turn, Birdo spits a Egg that contains loot for you, either 5 coins, nothing, or the current-board specific item. (Bowser Byway Lever, Markup Sticker, Steamer Ticket, Tide Shell, Tower Turner, Turbo Dice or Wiggler's Bell) (33% of each)
Spike: As you pass another player, Spike spits a Ball that hits that enemy, forcing them to lose 10 coins.
Goomba: As you pass another player, Goomba asks if you want to duel against the enemy. On the last 5 turns, dueling allows to bid a Star instead of coins.
Koopa Troopa: As you pass another player, Koopa spins and hits the enemy, breaking one of their items at random.
Shy Guy: As you pass another player, Shy Guy removes his mask to scare the enemy, forcing them to run in the opposite direction. (You roll a Creepy DIce for their movement, they don't trigger the space they landed)

I love rhythm games, the Rhythm Heaven games are some of my all time favourites, but DK's minigame just drags on for way too long
I really like the idea for Bowser's ability, for the same reason I dislike waluigi's ability.
Since budies get stolen when another player passes you, an ability like waluigi's is not great, since using it usually means putting yourself into a position where the budy can just be stolen right back.
But since the ability of Bowser is to turn their dice into a creepy dice, this automatically lessens that issue. Moving less spaces makes it harder for them to pass you on their turn.

Toadette: Gives you a better chance to get rare items at item spaces or item shops.
Birdo: Copies a item of your choosing from a opponent IF you pass them.
Goomba: Rolls either a 8 or a 5 on each turn after you roll a dice
Shy Guy: steals a random item from a apponent when you pass them.
Monty Mole: Immune to traps.
Boo: Steals random coins from a opponent when you pass them.
Spike: Throws a spiked ball that forces opponents behind you to move back spaces.
Pauline: Sings and forces opponents to move on you space.
Ninji: Turns you invisible and immune to negitive items, but will makes you impossible to buy stars or items if the Jamboree effect is active.
Birdo could have an ability like her special item in mario kart double dash. Just shoot a homing egg item at people that makes them lose coins and you gain a random item.
For Bowser I always thought that as a Jamboree buddy he could create new Bowser spaces on spaces that player lands on aside from ones like event spaces. I also thought his ally minigame could involve 3 Bowser minigames from past Mario Party games in a similar manner to Mario’s Three-peat. I am not exactly sure what Bowser minigames would work best however.

In the SM64 DS version, each character have their set of Mini games and all of Luigi’s minigames were casino/gambling based so his ability actually does suit him quite well
Luigi’s ability is probably a reference to how in platformers he’s faster and jumps higher but slippery.
Or a reference to the Mario & Luigi games where he’s the butt if the joke but really pulls through in a clutch
I'm sorry but this probably the worst of the buddy tier lists I've seen and much more different then mine with Waluigi being the worst of partners followed by Luigi and DK, while Peach and Daisy being the best abilities in the game and the best of the minigames

Even in the optimal scenario, where you win the Wario minigame during the turn of someone that goes before you, and Wario never gets taken from you, you get an average of 16.5 coins. With optimal luck you get 24.
But the more likely scenario is that you get Wario during your own or someone else's turn, which means Wario will only trigger twice, giving you an average of 11 coins, and 16 coins being the maximum payout.
I was thinking of the similar concept for Ninji as a buddy which is similar to this video suggestion for it. Whenever a minigame is rolling to be picked out of the odds, Ninji ability as a buddy: basically most of the time giving you higher chance to get your minigame as an advantage.
I actually think Bowser could place Star Steal Traps on the spaces you land on, similar to his son, except stronger. His achievement for doing so would probably be named "Bowser's Loyal Minion!" or something like that.

Yoshi's ability should have been to STEAL an item from any opponent you pass. Or, when you pass an opponent, Yoshi eats them and forces them to move with you until you land on a space, where Yoshi either spits them out or eggs them. This can cause them to miss a star or ruin their plans.
Also, here are my ideas for the other buddies:
Toad: At an Item Space, choose what Item you get.
Toadette: Items you use aren't used up.
Birdo: When you pass an opponent, steal a random item from them.
Bowser: Call Imposter Bowser on a random player.
Koopa Troopa: Red and Blue space values are doubled again (+12 or -12 coins)
Shy Guy: Cannot be stolen by other opponents when they pass you.
Goomba: Nullifies any bad effect placed upon you by an opponent.
Monty Mole: Adds 5 to your Dice Roll.
Boo: The on-board Boo will steal half as many coins as usual.
Ninji: Before you roll, choose if the space you land on will have any effect.
Spike: A random opponent loses 10 Coins.
Pauline: Before you roll, move a random opponent to your space (optional).
Yoshi minigame is the best ally minigame
the real reason boo isn't a jamboree buddy is because there would be no way to balance his ability; he's simply too powerful

I got Bowser Jr the very first time I played Jamboree. You can make an absolute minefield on Wiggler's board with him. It'll just come at the cost of you losing like 50 coins from landing on those plant happening spaces that steal coins from you. I made the point past boo terrifying to go past because the plant was at 16 coins to steal if you land on it's happening space, on top of the half coin steal hex on both happening spaces. If you can land on the right spots with him you can make traveling the board really rough for your opponents. He's very useful, but hard to make work great for sure.
I hard disagree on Peach's ability being a 1/5. Stars outvalue coins in every single way, so getting more stars for cheaper lets you hold onto more coins to convert into stars. And with every buddy giving you the choice to buy two stars at a star exchange you get two stars for the price of one when you do pass the star with Peach in tow. Buy two stars for 20 coins can set up into other plays like reaching Boo and getting two chances to steal. That 20 extra coins from not buying two stars for 40 might give you enough to steal a star even if you lose peach before Peach leaves before you can get to Boo with her.
For Pauline’s mini game, I could see it be an improved variant of DK’s mini game (button input rhythm style that changes music during each round)
How'd Luigi minigame get 3? It's perfect! Same with waluigi, his minigame is unfair and luck based, basically gatekey-pers which no one likes
Yeah, the high rating on the pinball machine definitely has me questioning. It feels so luck-based. I personally do dock a few points from Luigi's minigame because instead of having a unique task in each room, each room repeats once (except the final room). Once you're reached the halfway point, it starts feeling repetitive, because it literally does repeat the tasks.

Dk is prob the most chaotic ability landing on any space is a large gamble but on some boards this is a massive blessing like in the mall board you can use dk during the flash sale and warp infront of any shop or heck even the star.. sure its a gamble but a warp pipe you can use whenever in adition to a normal item if you location is somewhere you dont want to be is a massive power play
