Even easier way is to wet the braids , slather in conditioner , be generous . (Cut still )And then brush like that. Makes brushing super easy and then they slide out when you get closer to the root
I have extra small knotless braids and It usually takes me 7+ hours to take them all down and I got them down in two using this method! thank you thank you!

Oh okay that is an idea I can try. I love using an oil like olive oil. Then an old leave in conditioner afterwards.

Use a mixture of warm water and leaving conditioner in a spray bottle and spray it on the build up, that should do the job.
