Hey there! I'm glad you were the one to get this tenor -- you're giving it the best home (and music) I think it possibly could have. Definitely seems happy in your hands. :) Jake

This is definitely among the best of all the performances you've posted. You seized the music at that natural, nascent, spontaneous stage where nothing is forced and the scent of the muse still lingers. Some musicians go their whole lives without ever capturing such moments on tape. Thanks for posting this!

I'm definetely happy to have it in my hands, such a versatile instrument... Can play Blues, bottleneck, old-time fiddle tunes, folk songs, old jazz tunes, well, everything i love to play seems to fit... Thanks again, Jake.

+Papa Mooresy - I keep coming back to this too. I'm a long time blues fan (and harp player) who switched to mandolin a while back. I've been drawing inspiration from the blues mandolin player, Yank Rachell, but this totally steals it for me. I found myself yearning after a parlor guitar after seeing Chris Hadfield's compact Larrivee P-01 on the ISS. Modern guitars often sound too 'nice' to me these days. +Gadaya 's getting just the tone out of that Stella that I crave; a sort of thin, boxy sound, like a scratchy 78 record. I'm guessing his strumming up so close to the bridge helps get that sound. The strings look really thin too. Are they especially light gauge; does anyone here know about such things?

hope you would take it well that your singing _reminds_ me of alan blind owl Wilson (canned heat guy, RIP) - along with some other authenticity you have going on that I can't put my finger on. I'll settle for having my ear on it. carry on. do more.

What kind of strings do you use on your tenor? I use DADA tuning and Chicago too. Haven't found strings I am happy with. I have an old Gibson tenor and want to do more with it. Great stuff here and you Wildwood Flower post , too. Jim
