Duty Srgt needs to be appreciated. As i have said before it would be good to report constables like him for being good. This would be balance against complaints. We the public need to show and proactively support good constables. That's the value of videos like this showing good.😎

You're essentially giving evidence, and they're rejecting it off hand purely because it relates to one of their colleagues. I would love to hear an auditor reply with "well you do know what happened because I've just told you, I've just given you an evidential eye witness account and its on film, so why are you rejecting the account immediately?". I cant imagine they respond to all eye witnesses with the same witless response so it must just be in response when its related to their colleagues. So farking wrong.

This video shows 100% the difference between police constables who are doing the job for the right reason and the bad ones who are just ego driven. Everyone was polite and even the two without warrant cards just walked away without question.
Police can use stop and account but you don't have to engage at all and they can't detain you under stop and account either, you can literally walk off and say nothing.

It's their job to fish, it's another word for investigating. If they fish/investigate within their laws and policies it's okay. Once outside these boundaries it becomes an issue.

When I see that place I am so grateful I moved away from Luton to Bournemouth. Best move I ever made. I use to spend quite a few days and nights in that place when they could hold you for 3 days. Sends chills down my spine
Excellent and worthwhile engagement with the Police Service. The first two had a bit of an attitude but did the walk of shame when you pointed out they had no warrant card. Third Officer and the Sergeant were sport on, this is how the Police should behave courteously and polite and helpful while getting on with their essential business of keeping the streets safe. It's all about respect - when the Police fail to respect the public bad things happen.
Even those 2 at first were polite even if they were not following procedure, they realised straight away that they had no powers to push any issues and they left. I think this was a very good audit, the sergeant was spot on, exactly what we want from our public servants.

They should have had some identifying id (warrant card) but when you asked them if they had it they disengaged respectfully also. AB definitely did not have this response in his video. Every police force policy I’ve read not only requires constables to carry their warrant cards, but also at all times while on police premises, they must have their warrant cards on display (and PCSOs and police staff must have their staff ID on display). This seems to be one of the many policies that police routinely ignore. I’ve just checked the policy for this force and as expected the same policy applies, as quoted below. Also note the policy on name badges which again many constables also fail to follow.…. BCH20/001 - Dress and Equipment Code and Standards Policy for BCH [Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary & Hertfordshire Constabulary]. Warrant/identity cards 4.8.2 All individuals are issued with a warrant or identity card and are required to carry this with them at all times when on duty. Officers are advised to carry them also whilst off duty in England and Wales (in view of the fact that they may wish to identify themselves should they become involved in an incident whilst off duty in countries in which they have powers). When visiting certain countries, individuals should seek guidance from PSD in whether to take their warrant/identification card. 4.8.3 All officers and staff will visibly wear their warrant or identity card at all times whilst on duty on police premises and at other locations/times when directed to do so. The thing about uniforms is should they not be uniform (the same). The RTA states that you have to give your details to an officer in uniform, the question is what is a police uniform as they all seem to wear different clothes

Wow… apart from the first two offers. Very professional and the Sargent is a good example on how a Sargent should behave and act towards the public. AB did not have any luck when he was auditing there a few years ago. Very good.
Here in New Zealand even if they are wearing a police uniform if you ask they have to produce their warrant card. But our trespass laws suck here even in publicly owned buildings if they ask you to leave you have to leave otherwise police can trespass you an even charge you. Full marks to the sergeant definitely 5 + star service.
Uk uniformed don't have to do anything but are encouraged to verbalise, and more recently warrant cards are required for the Met (after a plain clothes murdered a woman on duty)

4.8.3 All officers and staff will visibly wear their warrant or identity card at all times whilst on duty on police premises and at other locations/times when directed to do so.
Name badges
4.8.4 Where issued, individuals are to wear name badges, except on ceremonial occasions, on all orders of dress. Amendments to rank on name badges will be made in the case of temporary promotion, but not for the granting of acting rank.
4.8.5 Uniformed individuals will be issued velcro name badges and a patch on the left side of the upper chest on coats, fleeces and shirts, will be included to facilitate these. Where issued to non-uniformed individuals, pin-on or magnetic badge may be worn on the outer item of clothing, in an appropriate place, e.g. on a lapel.
4.8.6 Exceptions will be made by managers for individuals for whom the wearing of a name badge would compromise their work, e.g., a covert activity.
The thing about uniforms is should they not be uniform (the same). The RTA states that you have to give your details to an officer in uniform, the question is what is a police uniform as they all seem to wear different clothes

You do not HAVE to give your details to an officer in uniform just because they ask it's not fkn nazi germany m8 this wasn't a RTA stop.

So, yes in some instances you do have to give details ergo your claim that we are under Nazi's, can you expand on that?
Wow… apart from the first two offers. Very professional and the Sargent is a good example on how a Sargent should behave and act towards the public. AB did not have any luck when he was auditing there a few years ago. Very good.
It seems that auditing police is making a change for the better.

Here in New Zealand even if they are wearing a police uniform if you ask they have to produce their warrant card. But our trespass laws suck here even in publicly owned buildings if they ask you to leave you have to leave otherwise police can trespass you an even charge you. Full marks to the sergeant definitely 5 + star service.
Uk uniformed don't have to do anything but are encouraged to verbalise, and more recently warrant cards are required for the Met (after a plain clothes murdered a woman on duty)
@Liz Collinson It should be compulsory that all officers If they be in a uniform or not should produce their warrant card upon request. As they always ask for ID.
