    Great job. Don’t pay attention to the keyboard experts who want to point out the mistakes, We all make them. Keep up the good work

    This might be the best video on the internet for one sticking. I have yet to see anyone actually show how to climb with all their gear and how they set up for hunting.

    Good video although I'd like to point out that you should have the clip on the tether rope clip opening up. I've seen that opening fail and if its up the only way the line can come off is if slack is in the line.

    Nice job. Only difference between us is I use my rappel rope to lift and lower my bow. I like the grip on the thicker rope vs the Dynaglide.

    This is a great video. I started out multi-sticking, then I went to one stick and my platform and finally to a true one stick. Honestly, I miss my platform because it is just so roomy, but the advantage of having a single stick and a platform in one is too hard to beat and worth the tradeoff. This is pretty close to how I do it, but it comes down to how much you are willing to risk in terms of speed of the climb. On a small tree I never use my lineman belt, on a tree like the one in this video I always do. The lineman belt probably adds 1-2m per move (i make about 3 moves to 22 feet), but it really makes it stress free so you take yoru time. I have just resigned myself to getting to a tree 10m earlier so I can take it nice and slow and relaxed. Great technique and instruction really enjoyed it.
    I do have a question, on your EWO, did you add anything to the surface to make it non-slip? I hunt a lot of swamps and I am trying to find something to make it have more grip. I added some traction strips, but they don't stick well :)

      Yes I added a non slip additive to the clear coat layer

      I use the same setup also. It gets easier with each tree. I like a loop on the end of my rappel rope. Go through the cam & hook it over the stabilizer. I am 71 so if you think it is hard, then you are doing something wrong. Relax & GO UP.

    I stopped watching when you made the rookie mistake of not locking your caribiner. Rookies shouldn't be making how to videos. Sorry.

    • @TheHunter46176
      @TheHunter46176  Год назад +7

      Sometimes you dont notice how unsafe you are unless you rewatch yourself or someone lets you know. I could have just edited it out, but then what really is the lesson? If we pretend we dont make mistakes then how will we ever learn? What I have learned is that people are inherently lazy and take shortcuts. I have since switched to auto locking carabiners. Thank you for watching and commenting.

      His video was spot on...even showed mistake so other can be informed...that's reason on these how to VDO.... kudo to him for pointing it out....that alone will help remind us hunters. I use climbers(considering saddle next season). So why stop watching?? Remember we were all rooks at one point...and learned from our mistakes

    • @reddawng43x91

      The biggest mistake besides the cariboner is the 5 foot of slack in the tether that will paralyze you when u do fall one day

      It must be hard being perfect like you. One of these days you should make a video and show us all how a pro does it. Or you could just stfu

      Outstanding video. Very clear and in-depth. One of the best I’ve seen. The simple answer to the carabiner issue is to use auto locking carabiners . It’s easy for anyone of us to miss that while hunting . Give him a break. I think for myself, I’d switch out the delta link for your rappel line for an another auto-locking biner. Great video overall. Thx for sharing it
