    Thanks Jeremy for another informative video for those of us trying to learn this machine.

      The glitchy video yesterday with Dilek trying to explain the ground balancing created lots of confusion. I still cannot find info on how to ground balance beast mode.

    I find beach mode works great in heavy iron I have pulled many old coins using Beach wet are dry doesn’t matter if I get a high tone one way with proper id I can almost guarantee a IHP are a silver dime I realize that you’re mostly jewelry but I also find the jewelry place permissions are old mixed in for me 78 inches and he invested and also like the bottle cap. This particular perm has a lot of old steel bottle caps because was vacation area from 1840s till now still very popular.

      Beach mode gets super crazy EMI around other detectors. Beach mode does not ground balance to soil. Beach mode has a very high TX gain.

    I am pretty new to the hobby and have learned so much from you. Up until now, I've only used multifrequency on the Legend, but your videos show me that's not optimal.. How do you decide which frequency to choose, when you are on single frequency? Do you have one that is the best in your opinion? Also, with changing single frequencies, how does that affect your level of sensitivity/gain? I do a lot of detecting in the woods, if that makes a difference. Thank you for all that you've taught me!

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  3 месяца назад +1

      Try testing 10 random live dig targets, cycle through the frequencies and see which frequency hits the most targets. You will be surprised of the outcome. Each site will have a different optimal frequency on different hunts or different soil conditions. Every day is different. I will test a few targets during the hunt to tune the detector to the right frequency. I always have 28-30 sensitivity. Multi frequency cannot run at high sensitivity.

    Jeremy, when would multi be the better option? Is there such a thing as perfect soil where multi would out perform single? Thank you.

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak

      I have never hunted in perfect soil. I have not found a place where multi will outperform single. My friends and me have lots of hours on the Legend....we all use single frequency almost all the time!! Multi frequency is just too sparky....single frequency is awesome!!

  • @Benein

    Sorry for a bit of an off topic here (noob question alert)
    If you have, let's say, 12k gold ring it contains usually 50% of gold and around 50% of silver + maybe some copper or zync. Known fact is that in that case higher conductivity of silver dominates gold and you get higher VDI. On the other hand when ring is 24k (pure gold) VDI goes lower.
    My question is why iron, which is a very low conductor, masks (dominates) either gold or silver which both are higher conductors. Why it doesn't get other way around?

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  3 месяца назад +2

      Iron leaches into the ground and forms a halo of superconductivity around the iron mass. Gold that is 12k could have half silver or copper. 12k yellow gold has copper and usually almost no silver. 12k white gold usually has silver and small amounts of copper. White gold is usually 14k. Copper and silver are both high conductors. Half alloyed with silver or half alloyed with copper almost the same conductivity. The shape, orientation in the ground , depth of the target, ground moisture and minerals or iron in the ground has a big influence on the VDI, much more influence than the metal composition of the target.

    • @Benein
      @Benein 3 месяца назад

      @@PaystreakSuperfreak Thank you. So I'll assume that on the surface silver will mask iron since it's higher conductor and iron has no super conductive halo on the surface

  • @ChrissyEis

    What do you think using single frequency in iron I really like 15 it really smacks out targets but I am a old coin shooter so I am in a lot of old sites mix with a ton of modern

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  3 месяца назад

      We unmask lots of coins in single frequency. Multi seems to make the detector run unstable while around other detectors too. We find lots of non ferrous targets in dense iron swith the Legend in single.
