Wow that's huge respect coming from Ronnie to Arnold, gotta admire a champ who respects former champs and values their worth. I love Ronnie even more now
Well said.
I agree
Indeed
Takes a champ to know one

The fact that he is not holding back while complimenting Arnold, makes him more commendable.
Very true. Very humble

Arnold’s side chest pose is ridiculous by any standards.
Arnolds upper body is amazing ... his legs ...another story ...he had to work extremely hard just to make the grade ... best legs in my opinion Tom Platz
gd3369 I agree with all of it. Platz’s legs looked photoshopped before they even had photoshop
@@jamesb8467 yeah his legs was huge and in a lot of his compition pictures his legs had striations on them or what we used to call them feathering (because they look like bird feathers ) before any of that was even popular ... Arnold’s body was just a piece of art incredible dedication.
In my opinion, Arnold simply had the most well proportioned body without that freakish look.
It depends on what you mean by "well proportioned" if it's functionality you'd be right, but we'll proportioned can also mean esthetically pleasing, which Arnold's body was

The Skip most definitely. these ppl are just ignorant lol kids don’t realize how much technology has effected the way machines work nowadays.
why don’t you see some of the machines that were used back in those days??
Arnold obviously also took roids, but the same stuff, with the same sort of research behind it and the same quantities? Don't think growth hormone was a thing back then, either, or insulin or all those other little tricks and advantages.
Ronnie was basically just saying "If he was on the same stuff that I was"
I thought that was funny.
Arnold had roids just not to the level Coleman had though.
Coleman's genetics are unbelievable, he would have been a big dude if he wasn't competing or even on roids!I was reading he only started doing roids cause he was getting his ass kicked. He got on them ,dea started investigating body builders cause teenagers were committing suicide and so he got a doctor to prescribe and monitor blood. Was on point with his on off cycles.
For those saying that they had steroids back in Arnold's day: To compare the performance enhancing drugs ("steroids" are just one part of what they now usually refer to as "gear") available in 1970 to what's available today is like comparing the weed that was available in 1970 to what's available today.
Humble man. Love this guy. He motivated me greatly during my body building years. It was Arnold first, the Dorian Yates, then Ronnie.

Roids, training machines, better nutritional studies, larger information sources, etc.. not just roids. That’s what Ronnie meant when he spoke about technology.
If you check Arnold’s diet, for instance, you’ll see that he lacked so many information.
There's a few Germans that are comparitivly as big as the Old Austrian Oak was.
Some of the short guys are very thick, David Henry or Ronnie Rockell.
I still think Andreas Munzer wins on condition and overall proportion & symmetry.
Dude the guy interviewing was just trying to be sensible, of course that's what he really meant.
Ronnie Coleman was a great lifter though, lots of heavy lifts, but too much weight and too much condition at same time, ultimately a curse.
If he wasn't powerlifting and just body building he wins on mass hands down maybe symmetry too as the best ever at Mr. O.
Most natural mass monster award definitely, lot of other guys big but they look inflated on sight injected crap.

It is incredible how this man, one of the best bodybuilders of all time can be so humble and compliment someone that way. I almost had tears come down my eyes looking at Ronnie. Love ya man! You are a top dawg!
Great humility. Mad respect for Ronnie and Arnold.

This man earns your respect... no hesitation, "Arnold was and is the best, no one has come close... look at that shape, I look like a little boy standing next to that" you gotta admire a champion that humble and honest, and truthful. He knows what the hell he is talking about too.

I mean he just says things like they are, he can point out things that actually do set himself apart from others without any boasting and arrogance, but also always talks positive about others. This is one reason why Ronnie will always be the greatest for me personally.

Arnold dont got best arms, wont win from the back and need more details legs.feom the front maybe
The best charm and charisma too, that's what really separates him apart from the rest
Michael Mayers dude it’s not about being the biggest. It’s more about shape and equal portion of muscle. Those arms and back were perfect. Legs were perfect for a tall guy.
Best personality too he has a magnetic charisma that’s unique, you don’t get tired of hearing him lol a lot of bodybuilders tend to be really boring and have the personality of a brick

It's a fact that no one will be ever like Ronnie. And the fact that he is so humble makes it even more robust.
So true. He knows what the interviewer is insinuating. The photo alone suggest a landslide for Ronnie. But then again maybe that’s part of humility. Accomplishments are personal and don’t require validation. Instead, he chose to speak on Arnold’s highlights, and disadvantages of his era.
@@Ember_Janer if it would have been Arnold, he would have appreciated Ronnie the same way. there's something i want to say to all those guys who keep on telling "sad to see Ronnie like that, sad to see him only the shadow of what he's been in the Olympia days"... hey pals have a chance to know some athletes of various sports like football, motocross, boxing, and so on. He is like a warrior who's got home from a hard battle. Respect him please. Don't be sad just glad for him and his unmatched results
I agree, you put your body on the line, you have to accept consequences! Ronnie is a great champion and we`d all agree to that! Cheers!
i agree...but you see other great bodybuilders like jay cutler or dorian yates and they are still fine and doing well...unlike ronnie who did some stuff he didnt need to to be a champion....but i guess it was his choice and i respect his courage and ambition to be stronger and not just have big muscles, but that came with a big price in the end.

What a fucking legend. Amazing
Ronnie should be a judge at the Olympia, he's brutally honest. Love you Bro.
Ronnies a true champ. So humble. He's a Legend.
He's not sorry for the state his body is in now. He knew the risk, he knew what he was.
I wouldnt say that bodybuilding was the main reason why he is in this state. This happened due to failed surgery, he had spine surgery where they put screws in his vertebrae and the screw unfortunently broke. It can happen to anyone, he was just unlucky. Sure the sport might have increased the risk, but it was mostly unluckiness. But what happened, has happened. Ronnie is a legend and his 2003 physique beats anyone of any era. I prefer Arnolds body ofc, because it looks more aesthetic. But no doubt that Ronnie is the best bodybuilder of all time.
actually this happened most likely because he was lifting extremely much weight (much more than avaerage body builders) and this had an affect on his spine and such, and he had to take surgery
Pretty sure he is sorry for the state his body is in now. Nobody wants to live in chronic pain. Get real.
You can’t blame steroids. It’s the way he trained he was lifting so heavy so often to the point where the joints couldn’t recover.
I know but he is a cautionary tale. And let’s be honest, it sucks to see such a kind person suffer.
This is so humble of Ronnie Coleman it makes me respect him even more
