Man you can see what being acknowledged means to him. We all want to be respected particularly as a man when you are acknowledged for doing something meaningful.
My friend, bodybuilding or whatever it may be, is meaningful depending on which lenses you’re viewing it from. Flex invested sweat equity in building his physique to achieve goals whether it’s for gold medals or simply to be regarded as one of the greats . You know you did something for the sport when Ronnie Coleman, who’s arguably the greatest bodybuilder, says your physique was the best. it’s all perspective:)
Dont agree with that. He was great yes. But there was a an EXTREMELY underrated bodybuilder called Aaron Baker. Who literally was like something out of a marvel comic. From shoulders to ankles. He had these calves that were those full DIAMONDS. That a cartoonist would draw.
Maybe now, but he used to be an flash asshole back in the day, had a chip on his shoulder and though everyone was below him, that's why he ended up becoming a manic depressed person and suicidal, he's only nice now because he has to be or no one would tolerate him now he hasn't got that physique.
I meet Flex wheeler back in 1998, he was guess posing at a bodybuilding show in Greensboro North Carolina. I was about to compete in a local show and I saw him sitting in a chair he looked so small. i thought to myself he is little, but when I tell you he walked down the isle to the stage with just his trunks on, it was unbelievable , his legs were HUGE. The entire crowd went crazy. I will never forget how huge and nice he was.
Wow the greatest bodybuilders are the most humble and easy to talk to people it seems to be with Patrick like that, because he has got always the genuine interest in what they speak...
No one had his muscle symmetry and proportions. His muscle fullness was next level. His overall package coupled with his posing style and grace was beautiful. To me he was the greatest bodybuilder with the best genetics EVER!

If there wasn’t Flex to help Ronnie and he’ll push him, Ronnie Coleman would not be as great as he is today. It was the: 1. Advice 2. Support 3. Competition That helped him thrive. I got to meet Ronnie when I was 17 back in 2000. His advice to me was “Don’t hurt yourself”
