Nice video guy. Good review. One feature that would put this thing on my wish list is if the little key fob had buttons to keep score instead of pulling the phone out. I hate having my phone on me when I play so having this fob with the ability to keep score with it would kick arse!
Ive never played music in a group but for a solo round i always turn on some music. I find it help me stay in pace and keeps me for in a chill state and not rushing through the course.
Great sound and it's very nice knowing the yardage on a course you've, never played, but the little button needs some work! The magnet needs to be stronger. The 3 friends I know that have the Wingman have all had to purchase a new button because it fell off. I received my new button and "super glued" it on, I don't want to invest in another replacement.
We usually play music while playing (can be course dependent though). We keep it at respectable levels and play music that would be appealing to most anyone. We certainly would not play music if we happen to be paired with someone that doesn't want us to as long as they are polite about their object to it.
Great video! Did you have any problems setting up the small remote to the speaker ? Buddy of mine gets the speaker to work, but not having much luck getting the remote to connect to the speaker. Did you do any specific steps to have it connect ? Thanks for the great review!!
Different topic ... which shaft would you get on a G425 9 or a 10.5, degree swing speed 110? Going to order online as Im not able to get one at a store. Maybe I should get the stock one and put on something later at a golf store. Thoughts?? Thx.
Which App do you use with the Wingman? I have seen the Bushnell Golf App (white logo) and the Bushnell Legacy App (orange logo) They both seem to work but I was having trouble finding the statistics on the Legacy app.
I love listening to music out on the course. This Bushnell is pretty sweet! I've played with a few golfers that have it and it sounds really good. Love all the features! Dang I though you had a hole in one there! Great review Gabe!
I like the speakers, I'm respectful when using them though. I've been golfing for years and never had an issue w people talking or making noise when playing. I don't understand the quiet on the course. When it's quiet the smallest sound can throw you off. I even get thrown off when playing partners quit talking before I swing or a guy on the mower stops when I'm setting up. It makes me think they will start again during my swing for some reason.
Hi, Thank you for the review! Just two questions! 1. Can you set up other languages ?! 2. Can it say the distance in meters instead of yards ?! Take Care!
I've not had a good experience so far.. the yardages are never right. And often wayyyy off. It won't keep up with me from hole to hole. Seems like I am constantly having to do it manually with the app. What's wrong? And your app has a lot more going on than mine
Before I get into my rant, just wanted to say, as always great review. I wouldn't have an issue with someone who wants to listen to music, as long as I don't have to listen to it. Ironically this very subject came up last week on "Tampa Bay Golf Nutz" facebook page, and one on the comments came back, after people complaining about the people using these type of items and playing them LOADLY. One of the responses was "did you ask them to turn it down?". My thought process is I shouldn't have to ask you to turn down your intrusive noise. The person playing the music, should have enough common sense to understand that NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO YOUR MUSIC, and keep the music to such a volume, that no one but themselves can hear it. Anyway just my opinion. I'll get off my soapbox.
I have gone to the dark side, and really like hearing music as I play. My friend has a speaker that he puts on about 1/2 the time. The Bushnell sounds like a good combo.
Anyone having battery issues with the Wingman? I charge it fully and then go play a few days later and it dies half way thru the round and shuts off. Does not hold a good charge for long.
I enjoy listening to music on course. But I get permission from ALL playing partners and keep it down to a reasonable volume. Anytime another group gets within earshot I mute it
When your Bushnell quits working, just throw it away! Bushnell doesn’t provide customer service anymore. Try calling/email them! Yes my wingman is in the trash.
If you need music on a golf course then use Bluetooth headphones. Golf is an escape for most of us. A green oasis (usually) that really doesn’t require a soundtrack. If you desperately need music out there then I suggest you find another sport. I love music. Just not as I’m trying to find a tight pin! Love your other videos though.
It definitely seems to growing in popularity. I haven’t seen it in the UK…on the other hand I haven’t been back for over a year. Who knows what I’ll find? I do want to see more youngsters on the course and I suppose they live with their own soundtrack via mobile phones.
I don't like having to listen to it finally telling me the yardage. I just need a glance at a number. I got one for Christmas and I HATE it. Gotta have your phone out to listen to music...and then change it back to golf mode...just too much to do and a hassle. Golf is supposed to be relaxing...this thing doesn't help.
This thing is a waste of money the magnet will not take a bump you put this on your golf cart or on a scooter and right around with it it will come off I just lost mine at $200 bye-bye.
dont buy this product it and the company are aweful it has not worked since we bought it except connecting to phone mode or radio/ The company cant make up its mind what company it wants to use for app and it will not respond when you ask for password reset and it just send you a welcome email to the email it says it cant find. Dont waste your money
My son an I have this but we only use when we are by ourselves it's a great piece of equipment well built an accurate an the sound is great
Nice video guy. Good review.

you're right that totally would, great suggestion
Ive never played music in a group but for a solo round i always turn on some music. I find it help me stay in pace and keeps me for in a chill state and not rushing through the course.
Nice. Yeah best to always ask playing partners
Great sound and it's very nice knowing the yardage on a course you've, never played, but the little button needs some work! The magnet needs to be stronger. Put it in your pocket bro

That’s cool, best way to approach it
Great video! Did you have any problems setting up the small remote to the speaker ? Buddy of mine gets the speaker to work, but not having much luck getting the remote to connect to the speaker. Did you do any specific steps to have it connect ? Thanks for the great review!!
It was smooth for me. Had no issue with app or remote.
Different topic ... which shaft would you get on a G425 9 or a 10.5, degree swing speed 110?
Going to order online as Im not able to get one at a store. Maybe I should get the stock one and put on something later at a golf store.
Thoughts??
Thx.
Dave, I wish I could give you some advice there, but I’m really not a fitter. Stiff I would think though.
Which App do you use with the Wingman?
I have seen the Bushnell Golf App (white logo) and the Bushnell Legacy App (orange logo)
They both seem to work but I was having trouble finding the statistics on the Legacy app.
The icon is orange and black that I use.
Great review! This is exactly what I was looking for.
I love listening to music out on the course. This Bushnell is pretty sweet! I've played with a few golfers that have it and it sounds really good. Love all the features! Dang I though you had a hole in one there! Great review Gabe!
Me too! Looked good for a while in the air :)

have you checked out the mini, I liked the bigger one, but the mini hits all the marks IMHO
Hi,
Thank you for the review!
Just two questions!
1. Can you set up other languages ?!
2. Can it say the distance in meters instead of yards ?!

Yes and yes 😀

I think you’re spot on. Anytime I’ve ever been paired up with someone playing music they asked if it was OK. I think that’s the right thing to do.
What’s intrusive to one may not be to another. I play music low an music like Dean Martin it’s very relaxing I don’t play loud ac/dc.
@@Bigdog365 True, we can give the Rat Pack a pass ;)
I just got this device. Looking forward to testing it out this week. Thanks for the great review on this product. Cheers! Also, a new subscriber.
Hope you enjoy it!
Can you use the app even if you don’t have the speaker?
I don’t think so, but don’t quote me on it :)
I just bought the outdoorsman speaker. Guessing these are the same. Only one side of the speakers are working. Have any suggestions?
I wish I had a good answer for you there. Hopefully still under warranty🤞
when i am with the wife playing, yes with the music
I have gone to the dark side, and really like hearing music as I play. My friend has a speaker that he puts on about 1/2 the time. The Bushnell sounds like a good combo.
I can definitely see how we can be relaxing. This is a great choice
What are some good courses in Sarasota I've played at the palms
How does it know you 3 putted?..just by your phone movement?
Ha, you mean 4 putted? It's manual entry for stats tracking. Just + and - arrows.
Anyone having battery issues with the Wingman? I charge it fully and then go play a few days later and it dies half way thru the round and shuts off. Does not hold a good charge for long.
Do you need to have their app open to use voice yardage?
not open, just needs to be running the background,.
Looks pretty good man 👍
Were neoghbors. I got the same courses pop up.
With the wife I put on some music in the cart....still not sure if it meets etiquette on the course...but its pretty quiet
Nice
I enjoy listening to music on course. But I get permission from ALL playing partners and keep it down to a reasonable volume. Anytime another group gets within earshot I mute it
That's a great idea!
100% with the music, been doing it for years. Just keep it at a respectable volume. Nobody else wants to hear your music.
No I don’t because I don’t want to bother other players. People that play music I can hear a hole away drives me crazy.
When your Bushnell quits working, just throw it away! Bushnell doesn’t provide customer service anymore. Try calling/email them! Yes my wingman is in the trash.
The only bad thing about the Wingman is that Android users get screwed on the available voices. IOS has the sexy aussie chick voice.
😂
Can you change the voice or even the language?

Music on course isn’t my thing either, but this device is def interesting for those that do
It definitely seems to growing in popularity. I haven’t seen it in the UK…on the other hand I haven’t been back for over a year. Who knows what I’ll find? I do want to see more youngsters on the course and I suppose they live with their own soundtrack via mobile phones.
Kevin... if I pair my earbuds with my phone/music... when the phone is in the cart and I'm on the green will it stay connected? Thank you
Sounds like you played it 115 and Wingman said 121. You should have listened. You left it short.
You might want to look at the newer Wingman 2. It has a screen that shows you the yardage .
This thing is a waste of money the magnet will not take a bump you put this on your golf cart or on a scooter and right around with it it will come off I just lost mine at $200 bye-bye.
Ugh...golf speakers...
dont buy this product it and the company are aweful it has not worked since we bought it except connecting to phone mode or radio/ The company cant make up its mind what company it wants to use for app and it will not respond when you ask for password reset and it just send you a welcome email to the email it says it cant find. If anyone in my group played music on the course I’d walk off🥵
Harsh, but understandable. I’m not one for music either
@@LetsPlayThru I go onto the course to get away from all that nonsense....can’t legislate for others on the course but my playing partners I can.
Wow a bit uptight I won’t be golfing with you
The music is played soft
Maybe your not capable of doing more than one thing at a time
