You saved my life. Thank you kiki. I had a kidney transplant 10 years ago, it started to reject 6 years ago and my kidney had been struggling ever since. My doctor told me I had 3 years before complete failure. I jumped in to wfpb because of you in april and you saved me. I'm no longer in end stage failure. My blood work is almost normal and I've lost over 30 pounds my cholesterol is great my blood pressure is normalizing. I'm off so much medicine. You kept popping up in my feed and you saved my life. Thank you so so much. Hugs to you and your family

Wow I had a kidney transplant 23 years ago and when I was completely on WFPB my creatinine ( kidney function) was so amazing. Our bodies do not like too much meat and protein. I have fallen off the wagon but trying to get back and this was so encouraging to hear.

Great message! I also started with the Starch Solution. I am an "all in" type person and I have been really successful. In nine months I have lost 45 pounds and my health has drastically improved. I have not been stressed out as in past attempts to get the weight off. I love your channel , blogs and recipes. I have shared your content with my children and grandchildren. I am praying that they will adopt this lifestyle. I love this way of eating and I feel so good! Thank you Kiki for all your inspiration and encouragement. God bless you and your wonderful family.

July 2021 was 4 years plant based for me after my mom passed from eating mad cow. She went to England in the 80's and the disease lay dormant until 2016. It took everything from her over a 10 month period and her experience was my final push to go all plant based in 2017. I ate a ton of food (way more than nessesary) and still lost about a pound a month for the first couple of years. I went in with the mindset that I didn't care if I lost weight at first. I just wanted to get used to eating without using animal products. 4 years in a I still need to work on eating less junk but I wouldn't trade this plant based lifestyle for anything! I am 10 pounds down of the Covid weight (I ate potato chips and drank wine on the regular for about a year) and becoming more consistant in my yoga practice and gym workouts so I do see changes happening and a brighter future.

I've definitely heard your story and method before, but I love that you post these videos every once in a while because it's like a refresher and reinvigorates me. And they always seem to come when I'm losing my energy for cooking from scratch. I've lost 14 pounds so far (my weight is VERY stubborn!) and I have also been healed of the same health problems as you (pre diabetes, high blood pressure, etc), so even if I wasn't losing weight I would still be completely dedicated to this lifestyle. I just ordered your plantiful kids cookbook and will be letting my kids pick out a few recipes a week for us to try as a family. My daughter is beyond thrilled!

That you don’t have to be perfect in the beginning, that you can start cleaning up your meals one at a time, and that we need to love our bodies now as we get healthier. I want to do this sooo badly. I tried it for a week earlier this year and loss like 10 pounds in a week! But like you said focus on not just the skinny but on the healthy. I’m going to get back on it. 🥰 Thanks for this vid, for continuing to inspire and educate, for sharing your story and showing how to make it doable and stay consistent 💝. If your hubby is ever up to it, hearing a bit from his perspective, either in a written form (blog or q&a on your website) or on video (I know he’s probably cringing at the thought 😬😣!). But it might be very helpful to other guys. Stuff like…How did he deal with cravings or any food addictions and how does he handle it if he still has them from time to time?Did he naturally feel more like exercising as he lost weight or did he have to focus and work on that? (Maybe he doesn’t do any formal workouts but just stays super active on the property.) Does he cook any of the meals now? Does he have to limit or resist anything like too much dried fruit or nuts/avocados? Anyway, just hearing about his experience and journey from his perspective could really help inspire other men…if he’s willing 😁.

OMG. You facial expressions when you talked about your husband's weight. Made me laugh. I'm come from a line of women who are short and stocky. I can relate. Hubby and I can follow same plan, he will drop 5 lbs and I will barely lose a pound. I struggle since I've gone through menopause.

I stumbled across this concept and am having a really hard time wrapping my mind around this being good for diabetes. I'm insulin resistant and this is the opposite of everything the health gurus tell you to do with carbs. I am not referring to the diabetic diet.

I found a little recipe for no sugar added fruit compote to add to oats or even spread on toast! Just grab a bag of frozen fruit, empty it into a pot and add spices. I like mixed berries and I add cinnamon, pinch of salt, vanilla, and the juice of half a lemon. Don't add water, just cover it and allow it to simmer down. Once it's jammy, remove the lid and simmer out the excess liquid for a bit. When it cools, it will be kind of jammy and syrupy. You can blend some of it and add it back for a more fruit spread consistency 😋 Just thought someone may like the idea of having something naturally sweet to have for a topping or spread 😉

I was raised on this way of eating by my parents and my grandparents were one of the plant based pioneers. However having an omnivore husband and busy life with kids I haven’t been able to find a way to get back to less fat - although I’m vegan- due to pleasing family as my kids get older. Need to start cooking this way again! They can always add to the meal while they transition. But the mental planning seems the hardest for me.

Hi Kiki, I have been following you for a long while now and I love your encouraging videos and flavorful, easy recipes. I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue, but I would love to see a video on sugar: how to say no to it for the long haul; how long does it take for cravings to subside once you quit and just how to get through it. My biggest struggle is sugar. I follow the diet almost perfectly, but sugar always sets me back. I hear so much about self control and discipline, and keeping things out of the house, but nothing seems to work when a craving hits. I only have about 10 pounds to lose to be at a weight that I am happy with but it just seems impossible with my sugar addiction. Very discouraging. :( I did attend the Better Life Summit, which had some of the tips I mentioned above, but I would love to see a video from you specifically ... hearing about your struggles with sugar (if any) and how to stop the sugar cycle. It currently seems pretty hopeless.

oh hun, ten pounds? but thats only about 4 kgs? yet youre using words like discouraged & impossible & hopeless? oh that breaks my heart! it may not help to hear, but i reckon 95% of women would LOVE to be where you are! (i know im one!) Good God i hope one day i'll know what it feels like to only need to lose 4 kgs! i've lost over 20kgs so far...as a whole food vegan (on starch solution) i still have at least 30 more to go, but thats ok... i'll get there!
i just want to say a few things to u please... then u can tell me to rack off ...cos its none of my business really.
im pretty sure if u only need to lose 10 pounds, then you are in a healthy weight range NOW. Right? If that were me, i wouldnt be wasting my days sad about wanting to be 10pounds lighter than my body will allow. I'd set my scales BACK 10 pounds, tell myself that 10 pounds has now vanished, and i'd go dancing in the street & singing from the rooftops about how great my body FEEEEELS! Cos im HEALTHY and FIT and STRONG and in my CORRECT WEIGHT RANGE and i can wear all different styles of FUN CLOTHES and i can go hiking & biking & paddle boarding and i can run around with the kids at the park without feeling self-conscious & i can finish all my housework without being a sweaty exhausted mess & i can power walk the dogs for over an hour a day like they want, instead of shortcutting it home after 20mins thinking im dying!
Oops...Hang on a minute..errrm.. sorry Anna...i got a bit carried away there..hehee...i thought for a sec it was Meeeeee in my correct weight range who's SLIM and FIT and HEALTHY! lol. But its not mate. (not yet) It's YOUUUU!
ive read that women who cant lose the last 10 pounds ....can often make it LOOK like they did! By trying the sports that can actually alter your body by toning it up or streamlining it and just sculpting and defining your muscles ~ like pilates/yoga/weight lifting.
PS....i think maybe your sugar prob is a separate issue altogether? if u feel its an addiction... maybe u are better off giving it up altogether like some people (myself included) have to do with drugs & alcohol? Look up Chef AJ...& her online support group...she used to have a terrible addiction to sugar and admits she ate vegan candy and vegan chocolate for breakfast every day washed down with a giant cup of frozen coke! So she gave it up altogether (and oil and salt and flour) and she says she now has COMPLETE PEACE in regard to food with NO cravings at all.
GOOD LUCK FRIEND. All the very best.

I’ve enjoyed any recipe of yours I’ve tried and think you do a great job with video education. I need to get on track! I’m plant based and have been for several years but as an RN working through Covid since the beginning of 2020 I frequently binge eat from starving when I get a chance to eat. I regularly go all shift without a chance to eat or drink and eat something unhealthy at midnight when I get home before falling into bed. 🤦‍♀️
