@@wsconsn What, the sound file? I created it myself. I used to have the DVD set. I used Audacity to pluck the audio right from the episode (the first one in the video, because it was the 'cleanest'). I did a few editing tweaks and imported the sound file into my phone and set it as the notification.

Agreed - I also love the fact that Shatner has embraced, to some degree, the 'caricatures' of himself ...
Personally, I also loved his "get a life" bit on SNL, as a substantial fan of Star Trek. The fact that some people were upset by it just made it funnier, to me.

I think the funniest entrance of "The Big Giant Head" was when he (William Shatner) was getting off an airplane and Solomon and the rest were there to meet him at the airport. I think it was was the first time we see the Big Giant Head in person. After a few pleasantries from the group, Sally Solomon says, "So. How was your trip sir?" Big Giant Head replies, "Horrifying at first. I looked out the window. And I saw something on the wing of the plane!" Dr. Solomon immediately says, "The same thing happened to me!". Probably a lot of people didn't get that inside joke. Of course, they had both played the same part in the Twilight Zone's "Nightmare at 20,000 feet". Shatner in the original TV episode and Lithgow in the later movie version. By the way, if anyone wonders if Shatner is a good actor, watch the Twilight Zone TV episode.
Thats 1 of the only twilight zone skits i even remember for some reason. Cuz it was the scariest one. Funny thing is, I didnt know either one of them acted in it until reading your comment
@@GeneralBuckNaked They were both excellent in the role. I liked William Shatner's performance a little better. John Lithgow was also excellent and perhaps had a physical advantage since his resting facial features already look like someone who is worried, or perhaps constipated.

The most astonishing characteristic of this series is how true to life the depictions actually are. For me and my family, it's like watching a documentary. I'm sure others must most assuredly feel the same.
