@@wsconsn What, the sound file? I created it myself. I used to have the DVD set. I used Audacity to pluck the audio right from the episode (the first one in the video, because it was the 'cleanest'). I did a few editing tweaks and imported the sound file into my phone and set it as the notification. If you'd like, I'll send it to you.
Agreed - I also love the fact that Shatner has embraced, to some degree, the 'caricatures' of himself ... Personally, I also loved his "get a life" bit on SNL, as a substantial fan of Star Trek. The fact that some people were upset by it just made it funnier, to me.
I remember the original opening with James Earl Jones narrating that Harry was on the trip because they had an extra seat before they established him as the transmitter
I think the funniest entrance of "The Big Giant Head" was when he (William Shatner) was getting off an airplane and Solomon and the rest were there to meet him at the airport. I think it was was the first time we see the Big Giant Head in person. After a few pleasantries from the group, Sally Solomon says, "So. How was your trip sir?" Big Giant Head replies, "Horrifying at first. I looked out the window. And I saw something on the wing of the plane!" Dr. Solomon immediately says, "The same thing happened to me!". Probably a lot of people didn't get that inside joke. Of course, they had both played the same part in the Twilight Zone's "Nightmare at 20,000 feet". Shatner in the original TV episode and Lithgow in the later movie version. By the way, if anyone wonders if Shatner is a good actor, watch the Twilight Zone TV episode.
Thats 1 of the only twilight zone skits i even remember for some reason. Cuz it was the scariest one. Funny thing is, I didnt know either one of them acted in it until reading your comment
@@GeneralBuckNaked They were both excellent in the role. I liked William Shatner's performance a little better. John Lithgow was also excellent and perhaps had a physical advantage since his resting facial features already look like someone who is worried, or perhaps constipated.
The most astonishing characteristic of this series is how true to life the depictions actually are. For me and my family, it's like watching a documentary. I'm sure others must most assuredly feel the same.
Wait let me guess, that happened in season 5 episode 12 where Sally thought the guy with a flannel shirt was a stalker just because of a Valentine's Day notes until Don confessed that it was him who wrote the note for Sally
I was wondering that as well. I also think that their actual form is the size of a small cup cuz dick said something like their space ship could fit in a human pocket.
Wel ome episode Denmis Rodman makes a cameo, where it'd revealed he's an alien. When he said he got The Big Giant Head a present, it was a big gian nose ring. So I think it's both size of head and description of power
@@ansleyguyton6357 no problem, thanks for making this! I love this show, I just turned 31 and am rewatching the show (on season 5 now) because I used to watch it when I was 10-11 but don’t remember a whole lot at all
I just wanted to say that Jesus loves you very much and died on the cross of Calvary for you. You can accept Jesus as your savior anytime you want. As the old saying goes he is only a prayer away. I hope and pray you would accept peace as your savior, today.
Incoming Message from the Big Giant Head: The Big Giant Head recognizes the threat of the one they called Jesus. Life functions ceased when TBGH lasered him from Mars. One of rhe funniest characters gags in sitcom history. And original.

Harry (French Stewart) rocks! This show is pure gold!
Yeeeees.he is pure gold too❤
Harry sure made up for being the 'extra' , on the trip. The comedy on this show is timeless.
The scene with Jan Hooks was a mic drop - got a belly laugh!
Man, I miss this show. Thankfully streaming exists
is it streaming somewhere?

3:00 that little dance is just hilarious
Milton French Stewart is a physical comedian who'd give The Three Stooges a workout as Harry Solomon with slapstick.
The box set is one of my best investments ever

Cool observational comment, thanks for sharing.
I just watched that episode on Amazon Prime.
Its also a reference to an early episode where Dick flies and gets afraid of the wing
The episode I remember the best is when Harry got amnesia and nobody noticed.
Rip Phil Hartman.
I thought he looked a lot like his old Captain Carl character.
The one where he was getting busy ending transmission was the best one.
This show is pure gold.
sally: " I hate that b*tch." XDDDDD
I remember the very first time Harry did it when he was trying to figure out what his purpose on the mission was :D

Excellent comedy and actors.
French is hot 🔥. I've always loved this show. The casting and writers made this absolutely amazing. Comedic gold!
Thanks for the video, I love seeing Harry play the radio, always cracks me up.

In marvel comics there is a race of aliens Who’s leader is a big giant head
Thank you!

The aliens are powerful and healing in regard to themselves.
I've never watched this series, but I like this gag. Maybe I should watch it.
I've always wondered on their planet is he called the big giant head because he's got a big giant head
Or is that a name they come up with
At home apparently he is a big giant head in his true form. Dennis Rodman took him a big giant nose ring as a gift.
