Looking at the picture before watching the video, I thought this young woman was a model/actress from the 1950's or the 1960's!! The dress and girl....absolutely beautiful!!!! 🙂😊 I wish I could go back in time to those decades and live!! 😮😟😢

Also, wearing a curtain as a cape/cloak/costume piece is a trope for a local subculture of Tolikien fan LARPs.
I was at the thrift store yesterday and bought a set of curtains because i loved the pattern. Hopped on here to see if anyone had a video on making a dress out of curtains and you popped up before I started typing! One of the rare moments Google read my mind and it was actually helpful 😂
This 💯 reminds me of the bedroom scene in On a Clear Day where the primary version of Barbara Streisand’s character matched her sheets and the manifestation of her inner thoughts matched the walls and I think the chair she was sitting in. All of which were very floral.
Omg that floral print looks SO similar to the Laura Ashley bridesmaid dress my mom wore in my aunts wedding circa 1990. The cut of your dress is much more flattering though 😂
I love vintage style. I've thought drapes can make great fabric choice for vintage dresses too. ( as long as they're soft enough) You did an excellent job! 😊
