- Anna and Joshua take us through their DIY Bluebird bus conversion, which is their full-time home in Napa Valley, California. They renovated this bus themselves, and the woodworking is absolutely spectacular, including their custom furniture.

The wood working is amazing!
If you’re looking for a sleek designed w/the upmost functionality then check out the Incinerator toilets. They’re fairly expensive, upwards of $2,000 but they are the best toilets for tiny living, especially if you’re off grid. These toilets incinerate waste leaving ash which needs to be emptied maybe twice a month, if that. I’m currently looking for either a Skoolie or tiny house. The only toilet I will consider for my tiny abode is the Incinerator. By the way, your Skoolie is absolutely beautiful! The craftsmanship is top notch and the design looks so professional, your Skoolie could win awards for best design!

This is the best conversion ever. I love the darker walls and cabinets, it makes the whole build feel sophisticated and warm and cozy at the same time.

This was amazing! I love all the finishes and custom design elements..
My only question is how heavy is this bus, and how often they are moving it. They must get horrible gas mileage, the 115 gallon water tank alone must add so much extra weight to the frame of the bus.
But I would kill for that outdoor space.

This was one phenomenal bus and, the thought that went into all aspects of the build were amazing.
The outdoor space was great but, not practical if it had to be left behind, when traveling.
I found it interesting that after all the work and effort that went into this incredible home on wheels could be traded in, some day, for bricks and mortar!

You guys are truly something. I am so inspired 'cause I can see your bus parked on my plantel and y'all planting a garden and pitching an awning with an outdoor deck and maybe a swinging bridge to a bambu treehouse connected to the trail system that leads through the jungle into forests of hardwoods and across creeks and waterfalls into the pasture at the base of the ridgeline where the herd is grazing and in the corner there's a campground..... Come by and stay a while! Finca La Piedra. It truly is a "WOW" and your bus would look perfect on her! HahahahahaI got a parking spot. One mile off the InterAmerican Highway.
We like our separate compost. We have tried them all

Love the build!!! the only thing missing in this build is the big screen tv. i would of thought it would of came up from a custom build box against wall or something. Other than that. Perfect!!!!

I love the wood in this design, how you designed the seats at the table. The kitchen is beautiful, counter top it's so nice to see something that's Not butcher block. The kichen cabinets gorgeous, flush frig in the wall., I'm digging that stove.
The bedroom I like how the bed is shaped so you can walk more easy. The color of the walls in bedroom is so relaxing.
The amount of storage in bedroom, closets, just overall, and the hamper. You can walk around your bedroom, the night stands are very nice. I never seen a broom closet in a bus.
The wall in the bathroom is nice. I like how you can join both mirror doors together for privacy.
That studio is rockin, that chair/bed looks so comfortable and that floor is gorgeous The outside living area is Sweet. You two did an AWESOME job !!

Your build regardless of cost is beautiful. I hope I end up with something as welcoming as what you've accomplished. I'm betting adding your time triples the estimate.. I wish people would stop saying they've converted a bus for $xxx and not take into account the labor. Its a massive devaluation that paints an extremely inaccurate picture. I'm converting a 2009 40' BB AE and I'll bet I'm into it for $120k by the time I'm done.

Absolutely stunning. Incredible finishes. Using the two cupboard doors to create separation between bedroom and living area is brilliant. I wonder if this build is only suited to warmer climates though? That is a lot of windows.

Very impressive in your planning. The design blends so well with the colors of the wood you chose. Except for the board on the roof up at the front, it all looks like it was meant to be just as it is. I’m not sure I understand the purpose of that board above the front window….. With the composting toilet issue, have you ever considered an incinerating toilet, and if not, why not? They are expensive, I know, but are there any operational issues which might make you avoid that type? Hopefully, the price will come down soon before I build my bus. Your use of space for storage and multi-purposing is clever. One last question: Are the holding tanks in a heated space, and if not, have you ever had any problems with freezing? Keep up the videos; I have a lot to learn about living in a bus and keeping it running. Best wishes for a wonderful New Year.

Beautiful in every aspect. The woodworking alone is beyond anything else. Overall makes me think it's a modern interpretation of a luxury Pullman train car from ages ago. (and the bed looks like a hidden Cybertruck?! LOL, I kinda love it. You know the Cybertruck has 2M preorders and 10k more per day since they started delivering?) This couple deserves some big pre-orders and also I'd love to design them a website when they're ready.

Beautiful build and so very very CA to put a bed outdoors. In much of America flying and crawling insects make that impossible.
Easily solvable with a light insect screen that hangs from above the bed and drapes over its corners. I've seen it done all over the world.
@@razoraz I've seen that too but the bed in this clip didn't appear to have a frame above it from which to hang a mosquito net. My point was that in much of the U.S., it's an idea that is usually dismissed out of hand.

Have you measured how high the electromagnetic field on the couch is? Having the inverter and all the equipment under it will make dangerous magnetic and electric fields. Get an EMF meter and check it!!
I'd imagine these folks are pretty receptive to what you're saying, given the antennas they have in their plant pots. However, given that the couch is for occasional overnight guests, the risks here are pretty marginal. I say that given how much EMF most of us are constantly exposed to and unaware of. For example I slept in a room a few years ago for several months before realizing that the 24 electrical meters for the whole condo building were on the other side of my bedroom - something that would be illegal in several (other) countries because of how much EMF they give off.
I bet they SIT on the couch daily, though. Since I got a meter and actually measured my environment, it has been really easy to NOT be exposed to EMFs constantly. This is an easy life hack that can really improve health that more people need to start doing. A good meter is about $200 and will last decades. Yeah it sounds like you learned the hard way with those meters on the other side of your bedroom. That stinks! I feel really bad for people in that situation and don't realize it. We need to have standards that protect people!@@razoraz
