This is just unfortunate accident is all. Also, in the early 1900’s 100,000 shire horses were taken and slaughtered every year in England after the advent of the tractor. To the point of near extinction. Since then there have been many American breeders who love the shire horse that have dedicated their lives to propagating and strengthening what is a dying breed. They have been a major part in saving the breed from falling into history. Currently there is double the amount of shire horses in America than In England. 3000 in the USA and said to be 1500 in England. The balloon had a weight on it, it shouldn't have gone far if it was just dropped. It kinda looks like the kid threw the weight because it goes a pretty large distance in like a quarter of a second.
Ya, I’ve read both depending on which web store you look at. The truth is most shires are black and most Clydesdales are bay,… most, not all. I think black made for more striking visual in the movie. But since the movie is set in Scotland, you’re right it’s probably a Clydesdale. The horse in this video… a shire.

If you watch that left rear hoof - you will see the shoe disintegrate. His hoof slid against those tracks and he shredded that shoe. It’s hard to see but pay attention to pieces of that shoe go flying as he is trying to get that damned gallon off his leg. That how strong he really is. He shredded that shoe like it was literally nothing. Got to respect that power. Given what he could have done - he did his best to remain composed. He’s a flight animal and if something is on your most necessary component of flight - um. Yeah. That kid was an ass.
I don’t think that was his shoe, it was the weight around the bottoms of the balloon. They are back Mickey Mouse heads that weight the balloon down. If it hadn’t had that on the balloon would have just flown up in the air. Stupid parent not properly supervising their child led to this and could have been so much worse. People have been killed by spooked horses.
I do see what you are saying about the weight however please watch the bottom of that hoof and you will see his shoe flopping around. I bet that hurt that horse.
I'm kind of disappointed about the big sister comment. Perhaps because she is older, she recognized the potential gravity of the situation and was stressed herself when she spoke. Gives me an insight about the narrator.
It’s true, it does tell you something about me. My two older sisters would have tried to console me as a toddler in a situation like that. Sorry are people blind the, The gentle giant shire horse had a stupid ballon wrapped around his back leg, obviously scaring him. Rather than taking stupid video should have burst the ballon ... and not have those stupid things around horses.. still that disney corrupt
The person filming was a customer of the park, not an employee. It was not their resonsiblity to handle the situation, and trying to help would have made the situation worse, and gotten themselves or someone else hurt. Bursting the Ballon would have been the apsolute worst thing they could have done. Horses are incredibly flighty animals, even trained ones are. It was already panicking about the ballon, popping it would have sent it bolting with the loud noise, and a true bolting horse is in full flight mode, this makes them extremely dangrous to people and to themselves, and they are difficult to catch and calm down again. And if everyone, a lot of strangers that the horse didn't know, tried to swarm in to get the ballon from it or to "Help", this would have also panicked the horse more than it was, and it would have hurt someone. The eployees, people that the horse very likely knew and trusted, calmed it down, stopped it from bolting and bucking which prevented it from hurting itself and others. When it is completely calm they could then safely remove the ballon, which they were fully aware of. No one was blind in this situation.

@@bellarose1400 I have been around horses. But not a shire horse I will admit, and I will take your word that they are gentle giants. However even though it is gentle. It would still have been a bad idea for the customer filming to get involved, it wasn't their business or their responsibility, so there is no reason to be mad at them filming rather than helping. And still safer for them to stop the horse moving before going going for balloon, I do know that shires are very heavy animals. If it was not likely to bolt as you say, it could have still stepped on someone in that state, even by accident. If these horses are bomb proof, then he would have been fine being a show horse in Disney land. They take very good care of their animals. This incident was a freak accident, nothing more. The true corrupt companies are horse sports like racing or jumping. People in those sports do abuse the animals sadly.
I don't think they were unaware. But I think in this situation the best thing to do is to calm the animal. Getting close to a spooked horses Rear hooves seems plain dangerous. And then the horse is having a balloon AND a person chasing behind them.
Two friends of mine are stuntmen and great horse riders: Their horses are educated for these situations and even worse. Large costly lawsuits for all the people seeing the horse either trample people causing blood and screaming. Or large costly lawsuits from all the people who see the horse fall and injure itself causing blood and mayhem. Or not selling the ghastly balloons. Profit margin be damned and don't sell balloons that kill wildlife on land and in the ocean. For a corporation that fronts itself as "all caring" about the environment you would think they would see their way clear to NOT sell deadly balloons, wouldn't you. But the only thing that takes them into profitability is the sale of those darn balloons. I guess I can't expect the most corrupting corporation in the nation to stop with the balloons until they do spill blood and brain matter on the streets of the happiest place on earth, right?
She was an employee that walked with the parade. Specifically trained for this female rider. Everyone did an amazing job that day!
Thanks for watching!
we all know that merida's angus is a shire horse, yet this particular horse is a clydesdale named jacob who came to the disney stables as a colt in 2008.
Who ever done this stupid thing you need to be arrested this could got worse
It was a little toddler that lost his grip on a balloon. Not intentional, so probably not jail time worthy. 😉
Why do we allow the se idiots over there to degrade our British animals so much? In fact don't export them that's 2 shire horses I've seen in terrible condition in terrible places not treated properly not safeguarded bloody balloons stupid people!?
@@pjarman8874 Do they not have balloons in England? This shire horse gets the best of care. The Disney stables are renowned for how well they care for their animals.
My shire Apollo who I love and is very well cared for (see my channel) comes from one of these American breeders. I’m sure you have great pride in your country and I admire that, but before you say dumb things you should do some research.
Thanks for watching the video. 🙂
@@apollotheshire This right here is a pure schooling 😂
Highly rare for a Shire horse to act up like that.
no it is not, cold blooded horses with no experience can be very dangerous
@@devindersingh8241 If that Shire horse had no experience, it would not be in that Disney parade.
Wow you'd think horses at Disney would be desensitized better?
unfortunately you can't plan for everything. Despite my comments in the video, the horse is great and does a good job of calming down fast and trusting his humans. He looks like a young dumb shire, so you can't blame him too much. Also, at the expense of stressing out the handlers and the princess,... he just got a little more desensitized 🤣
@@apollotheshire the horse isn't dumb, it's a horse
@@riannekuilder7374 there are smart horses and there are dumb horses, but non of them are going to do advanced math. Young horses are dumb in the sense that they do puppy dog type silly/stupid things in their 2000lb bodies.
Ah yes, sacking out to a balloon wrapped around the ankle, as per protocol.
I hope to have kids. I hate the use of helium for balloons. But if I ever have a kid that also has a helium balloon... I'm for sure tying that balloon to an elastic that fits around my child's wrist!
Things turned out better than I anticipated they would!! No thanks to the "HELPER!" 🤯 LUCRETIA
One of the hundreds of reasons not to have balloons!😡😡😡
How about mul and horse ?
And at this moment, I realised the two handlers on each side of the horse are there for the safety of the general public, and not for the rider.
Merida ( the girl who is acting as her ) just walking off like nothing just happened.
It’s great riding, handles herself really well on his back given the circumstances, then when she gets her chance, slips off smooth as silk and get out of the way so people can do their job safely.
Yeah
I thought you were going to point out someone throws the blue ballon at their direction, can’t tell if it was the guy with the cap or a kid...
I don't think it was thrown but someone lunging to grab after it as it escapes.
The balloon had a weight on it, it shouldn't have gone far if it was just dropped. It kinda looks like the kid threw the weight because it goes a pretty large distance in like a quarter of a second.
Angus in the movie Brave was a Clydesdale, not a Shire.
Sono contraria a i cavalli nei oarchi pero deeo dire che questi hanno sistemato vene la cosa finalmente dei dipendendi esperti
"loses". Not "looses"
Haha,.. I’m smrt! 🤪
Thank goodness Angus didn't step on it and it exploded! Good rider...poor Angus. Hope this isn't this horse's only task in life to walk the streets of Disneyland/world?
Glad the chick could at least ride :-) don't blame you buddy 💙
NO ONE TALKIN BOUT HOW DUDE TOSSED THT MFn Balloon AT the horses rear legs!! 🤦🏽♀️💁🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️👌🏽🤧 thn mom fussed at the girl he TOOK IT FROM 2 TOSS it JUST to cause a UPROAR during the trip!!
Another reason to dislike Disney 👎
I'm kind of disappointed about the big sister comment. Perhaps because she is older, she recognized the potential gravity of the situation and was stressed herself when she spoke. Gives me an insight about the narrator.
It’s true, it does tell you something about me. My two older sisters would have tried to console me as a toddler in a situation like that. It’s unfortunate what happened to the horse, him being startled like that. If it were me… as an innocent little kid, their blood. They would have shown me love in that moment, not been a total jerk. Thanks for watching. 🙂
This was an interesting video with good commentary until you decided to make up a whole story about the woman trying to help, and the man gesturing at her.
Haha… good to know. 😉
thats why you should train ur horses
-ofc something will freak them out
🙄
the rider is great hear dut the women who came up to the hore trying to get the baaloon
😢😢😢😢😢
He was ok, just a little shaken. And on the brighter side The more situations horses have like this, where in the end they didn’t get hurt, the more acclimatized they become and the less things frighten or spook them. The balloon didn’t eat him or bite him or sting… it just popped like a stupid balloon, and and despite the quick fright, he’ll remember it wasn’t a danger to him. Horses are smart like that, next time he’ll react much less if at all.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
Some people suck
Your comments were stupid. The only good thing you said was that the actress was a good rider.
@@Lexzah Sorry its obvious you haven’t even around horses. Shires horses are gentle giants.. like bomb proof still being paraded around for annoying Americans to gawp at for entertaiment ... then the cart Horses just one pulling many tourists day and night
The loud pop of the balloon could have made the horse freak out more.
What great example of a strong woman, running away instead of helping. I don't give a damn about if she's qualified or not.
🤣😂😅
Two friends of mine are stuntmen and great horse riders: Their horses are educated for these situations and even worse. Anything can fly around them, buzz/touch their legs, you can hang them from a helicopter, the horses don't go berserk like this.
Dangerous situation as you have kids around. Well, this is Disney. They don't pay. What to expect? People also are injured in their 'park'. (edit: my frenglish)
It's humans fault for using animals as part of their god given vanity. Let's eat some fish because they don't have any feelings.
Yes!!!! I totally agree! DEATH TO ALL HUMANS!! Die humans DIE!!!!
Fish do have feelings though!! They’re all sorts of personable and goofy, anyone who’s ever kept fish will tell you. They recognise their people and will try to get their attention when they’re hungry. Some fish like blood parrot cichlids and Oscars even like to be pet and played with.
Go eat your kale.
Fish have more feelings than you 🙄
