    Dude we were so lucky to get to watch Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Stone Cold, CM Punk, Batista, and John Cena all wrestle at the same time in their Primes.

    In all honesty, Undertaker should've retired after going 20-0 at WrestleMania 28 in the Hell in a Cell match with Triple H. Would've been the perfect moment to ride off into the sunset to and also still being an undeniable first ballot hall of famer

      @@tombardsley3081 A few years ago, when top WWE executives pay was revealed for the public and when I saw how high Triple H's pay as a wrestler and an executive was (he was earning two different paychecks at the time), I realized it's hard to step away from wrestling when you're earning this good money while doing it part-time.

    I miss the days when Smackdown was Undertaker's house, when he was there almost every Friday, and having matches against people like Rey and Jeff Hardy and such. Teddy throwing people to the Undertaker....good times.

      I miss that as well. Even though I badly wished that he was on Raw, because Raw was the better show. Taker was carrying Smackdown.
      I really enjoyed seeing him on there as a regular, but I would've soaked it all in more if I knew it would sooner be over.

    That last one was what I thought should have been the end of his run. 20 wins. A nice round number to go out on. Three men stood on the ramp, holding themselves up, billed as "the END of an era." It was a PERFECT end.

      I was there live, in person. The ending was one of the most memorable visuals I’ve ever seen in wrestling, I wish that was the way undertaker rode into the sunset

    Between Royal Rumble 2001 and WrestleMania X-Seven, Taker & Kane had been feuding with Rikishi & Haku. With Rikishi suffering an ear injury at the hands of Austin, just weeks before Mania ,Taker decided he didn't want to face Haku at Mania, opting instead for HHH.

    The storyline for Mania 27 after the match ended was peak storytelling. Man I loved that part where Taker wins but he's so beat up like Trips but Trips walks out because Taker was close to losing and the limit was actually reached which played nicely into that Mania 28 near fall/false finish spot

    If i was gonna pick a time for undertaker to have retired, it would have been after hell in a cell.
    It was such a great match and the end was amazing.
    Dont get me wrong, i am always happy to get more taker, but i felt like none of the later matches got me involved like that one did

    Taker vs triple h storyline on WM 27-28 was always my favorite one, but now i admire it more after seeing how passion taker was about it, and how he insist for the “ you won the battle but i won the war” thing … and even for the little details 7:33

    X-Seven still to this day is one of my Taker vs HHH matches out of their trilogy. Shame it gets ignored compared to 27 & 28

      Even worse than that. There's tons more matches they had that are good. People just wanna talk about WM, but here are some gems:
      1. HHH/Taker February 97, Shotgun Saturday Night.
      2. August 97, Saturday Raw
      3. May 99, Sunday Night Heat
      4. Insurrextion 2002
      5. #1 contender's match, Raw after Summerslam 2002
      6. October 2008, Smackdown, WWE non title match. This is especially good to see because this is the first time they fought in six years with the brand split. As a fan it's always interesting to see if guys lose or maintain chemistry when a part.
      9. No Way Out 2009, Chamber match for the wwe title. Last match as opponents before the WM matches.

      Not enough apparently to book him in a feud at WM17. You just heard Undertaker confirm that HHH pitched to him to let Vince let them work together.

    Hell in a Cell works so well when you just forget about it or when it was made so meaningless due to the PPV.
    I popped HARD for that announcement because both Triple H and Undertaker had been in many Cell matches, winning most, but never fought each other.
    WM28 is definitely up there in the best Mania's.

    Their match at 17 had the best build up out of all matches on the card. Even Rock & StoneCold had a Rocky build using Debra in a weird way. The JR interview was the only solid segment.

    I legit thought they never had a Wrestlemania Match during the build of their WM 27 Match😂 They really wanted to make the Match huge and acted like it's a total fresh matchup.

Like WrestleMania 27 match between Cena and Miz, where they were acting like that was a fresh match, when they had a match on RAW a little before Elimination chamber. Or Big show vs Brock at Royal rumble 2014 match, which that match had already taken place many times in 2002 and 2003.

    Maybe an unpopular opinion but my personal favorite Undertaker/Triple H match is actually the one from X-Seven. Is it as powerful compared to their two back to back matches? No but I’ve always enjoyed their first match the most.

    Brock beating the streak ruined the importance of the end of an era match for me. I remember when I saw Taker kicks out after the beautiful combo of finishers I thought “now it’s official: nobody can’t beat Undertaker at WM. If HHH and HBK couldn’t do it together, nobody can”… yeah, silly me 😒

    As an HHH fan, sucks he didn't get at least one of the three. But maybe he's the false finish God. 1. WM17 : Sledgehammer counter from the Last Ride. Busted open, kickout.
    2. WM27: HHH tombstones Undertaker, kick out.
    3. WM 28: SCM+pedigree, kick out.

    Mania 28 was by far his best match with Hunter at Mania but his first one with Hunter at Mania 17 was an underrated classic that was a gem. It's sadly that it's overlooked to this day

      Sorta.
      It was supposed to be a work. But Undertaker legitimately passed out and needed it. There's a video about 40 minutes long with Undertaker, HBK, and HHH on zoom breaking their matches down. I think it's on Bt sport.

    Wrestlemania 28 was the greatest wrestlemania in my opinion, rock and cena 1 sheamus beat bryan in 18 seconds the hell in a cell with special guest… cm punk chris jericho… kane randy orton.. it was STACKED.

      HHH said that in his promo in DC after No Way Out: "How is it that you have been so dominant against Stone Cold and The Rock the past two years and not be in the main event? How are you the best of the best, the King of Kings, and not be in the championship match at WM?"
      And he was getting a big pop during his entrance and praise by Heyman.

    Me personally outside of Shawn Michael’s Triple H gave taker the the best wrestlemania matches. I mean all three matches were different from each other and all three matches. I legitimately thought that Triple H was going to industry. FYI, that third match with Triple H at wrestlemania 28 should have been his last.

      The streak shouldnt have ended.* there wasnt a new talent that coulda made use of it and we all knew that already. Brays character was damages by bad booking so him as successor and streak ender wouldnt have worked.

    WM17 was the best of the three Triple H matches to be honest.
    The second one, after Shawn, was a generic brawler. Helped by the ending that Hunter and Taker developed. More proof Vince had long lost 'it'.
    The third one had superior storytelling behind it and was better than the middle one.
