WOW that was bad. You don't realize how much your dog sheds until you do something like that. BTW I wonder if Bunny thinks those filters were disgusting.... :-P
Thanks for mentioning to rinse the filters before applying the cleaner, that's a good idea! And for saying that the coils have to touch. Good info for a beginner. Do you think this is something an older woman (me 😉) can do on my own?
Hi Tammy, thanks for your comment! It may look a little challenging, but it isn’t quite bad actually. Hardest part, is putting the cover back on and reconnecting the middle band and holding it in place. You have someone to help you, then it wouldn’t be too bad, but I have done it on my own as well. Good luck!!!
Hi Donna, thanks for watching. No I didn’t fill up the filter unit with water before turning the system back on. With my pool, it took a few minutes, and purged itself of all air in the system when turned back on.
@@BeerLeagueHockey thanks for doing the video. It was very helpful and saved me money cause I was trying to get a pool guy to come out and show me! You help me figure it all out!!
We had the house for about a year, before we cleaned it; so can’t say exactly but at least a year. The PSI gauge just recently crept up into mid 20’s for cleaning though. We now use a 1 gallon paint strainer bag in our pool skimmer to help catch all the fur that ends up in the pool. I got about 6 for pretty cheap on Amazon, I use one for about a week, swap with another and wash the dirty one. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
with a DE filter he would have to backwash prob once a week then add DE and still have to take apart the filter and clean all the grids ...Cartridge filters are much easier to maintain...

LMAO, I’ll have to ask her. I got some 1 gallon paint strainers, and put one inside the basket at the pump to catch majority of his fur for next time.
Absolutely helped in our time of need!!! Thank you for this wonderful and informative video.
Glad I could help you out! Thanks for watching and posting a comment!!

Did you add any water instead before putting the lid back on.

What about the demascas(sp?) earth (DE)?
Hi there, sorry I have never flushed that type of a system before. The filter in this video, is from my home; the only one I had tried cleaning.

Oh my God
Ha ha yeah, the grossness factor was high, not sure when previous owners cleaned it last
