- August 30, 2018 - Six Flags Magic Mountain, today announced the latest addition to its unparalleled coaster dynasty - West Coast Racers, the world’s first racing launch coaster - slated to open in 2019. Unlike traditional coasters, this one-of-a-kind racing coaster will feature two side-by-side tracks with four individual high-speed launches. The race covers two complete laps, multiple airtime hills, extreme high-banked turns and exhilarating over/under near misses. A highlight of the ride is an immersive real time “pit stop” designed and produced by world famous West Coast Customs that will provide riders with a racing experience unlike any other.

@@HumanStateOfEmergency it has to duel. That's the perk. Because when the one car is the loading the other car is going through a "pit stop experience" its mean to fix the problem with twisted colussus not racing often because the car waits until the first one is ready

Twisted Colossus isn’t a true racing coaster... it’s a coaster that can duel every now and then but it’s not a racing coaster. THIS. THIS is a racing coaster!!! Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point made CP my favorite park for a second but this just might put SFMM back at number one for me.
This is only one coaster with the exact concept of Twisted Colossus. The train goes from white to yellow then goes back to white. So don't get happy just yet cause it might not be synced all the time lol

meezymillionz the last part is actually not very true because it will always race and I like coasters like this because even tho it’s only one ride u get to ride it for a solid 2 or more minutes

I rode this ride last week during the technical rehearsal. Will this ride go faster when it opens? It’s slow. Also, adding lights to the track out make it more exciting at night. The underground as a themed area is a cool idea but there’s so much going on. There is no cohesion with the music, the shops and restaurants and the ride. West Coast Customs is a thriving So Cal business take full advantage of that when thinking of what riders see when walking through the underground, waiting in line and while on the ride. This ride experience could be so much better.

It has a break run in the middle and will only launch after the first one is ready to dispatch .
@@funny.gon-12 There's always gonna be issues, and it might even take over a minute or two to wait for the other one to catch up at the brake run; you never know.
No like and end curse break rings not a mid and they have a back up and it's an lsm controlled launch so they press a button for it to launch or it will stop halfway .

I wonder if this will be comparable to a ride like Maverick at Cedar Point? Someone else commented if Full Throttle and Twisted Colossus had a baby, this would be that ride....I am good with that, those are my two favorite rides in the park now.

As a roller coaster enthusiast, this looks kinda cool! I think goes 2 laps on the other track like Twisited Colossus.
Its actually fun but I thought it would be a little more scary but I had fun on it

Multiple launch engines portends multiple risks for shut downs. That stated, if it operates close to this digital animation, it will be a great ride. As of the end of June 2019 construction appears less than halfway complete.

Hmmm I was expecting it to be more intense it looks like a moderately fast ride but not to fast. (Worlds first quadruple launch!? You only get two per ride.
There are 2 launches per circuit around the track. And since you go around twice...

I think this will be plenty different. Twisted colossus has a bunch of out of your seat air time (which BTW is one of the only rides at the park that has that) This ride is more about the launches twists and turns.

MintyStyrofoam there’s plenty of parking lot space😂😂😂jk they’d probably need to get rid of Goliath which was hoenstly look and be amazing next to twisted as u enter the park and it could potentially rival millennium and Goliath isn’t rated a very great hyper and honestly isn’t that great and regarding family rides no one rides Goliath for a family ride it’s usually enthusiasts so it’ll help bring the park up a lot

MintyStyrofoam i personally think they dont need to broaden their consumers. theyve been doing fine for the longest, and they are basically known to be the "thrillcapitaloftheworldlol" where their main target is thrill experts. its nice to have a small ride i agree, but also remember that this is the flagship park that makes big bank from their rides. if sf included families, it just wouldnt work.
MintyStyrofoam This going to be a great addition, there’s tons of teenagers who come here that are scared of big rides but go with their friends anyways, this ride will give them more to do and bring them back for more and more. Also, for the families that are thrill seekers, the kids will love this, Smart move, great addition to the park.
