The net code is fine rn these bums are just trash man. They need something to complain about, something to bash because the “majority” says so. I play every day and 99% of my games are fine, should they keep updating the net code? Yes obviously but the game is nowhere near as unplayable as they haters claim.

Brilliant explanation. Now explain why f2p shooters from 2008 had better netcode.
It’s not just the content creators that complain for views: People are quitting the game just because of the netcode. Nobody is saying it’s simple to fix but it is what it is. I really like the game but I’ve set it aside until this gets better. I just hope everyone else doesn’t do the same.

Well, the short answer is they were built on engines designed for them… XDefiant is not… I’m not going to type the long answer…
I know everyone is having differing experiences, as do the devs… It’s just a matter of time and patience, the team will get it right… There’s plenty of creators such as myself who are still playing and keeping the gears running… So long as we keep the faith, the devs will keep working…
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it… 😎

Gave you a like. They'll never fix it. Love the idea but due to the netcode this have been collecting digital dust. If & when it's going into S3 & netcode & she reg still not fixed, I hope players wise up & this game gets cancelled cause they lied & these devs have to learn to stop making promises they can't keep & to stop making unfinished products. Gamers complain but still play the games, like the cod & destiny community.

Thanks… It will be fixed, I guarantee it, it’s just gonna take time… I mean, look at Halo Infinite and how bad that was, took them 2 years to fix that one! Difference here is XDefiant isn’t built on an engine fit for purpose… It’s not an impossible task, but will take time… 😎

    What is net code

    • @ScottyMcGaming
      @ScottyMcGaming  Месяц назад +1

That’s how the game sends and receives packets, sometimes depending on the connection between you and the server, you could be behind cover, but to the enemy player you’re not… Creating the illusion for you that you were shot around corners etc…
Most gamers blame the game and the servers, but don’t realise their system and internet connection can be to blame also… 9 times out of 10, when I’ve investigated it, it’s usually players on console and using WiFi that have the biggest issue with it… Though PC gamers are not immune to issues…
Sometimes though, it is the game, and in the case of XDefiant, it seems there are some issues with the game… The devs are fixing it, but most gamers these days are too impatient… 😅
Hope that helps you understand… If you want more in depth, I did a video about it a while ago… 😎

We know the reason(MMO servers with a FPS) game, this video is very late. Crazy how Mark talked about "First impressions matter" which they do but all their first impressions were delay after delay which showed us that they're not capable of competent in fixing the main issues, Mark also said he wants the best experience at launch. Game was literally not loading into games for almost 6 hours. Fast forward to now heading into season 2, the game's netcode & shit reg even worse then it was before🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️
& Yet Mark says "It wasn't rushed" yet he also says "If it's not for you then move on" very professional lmao, anything to evade the actual fact that they are the worst devs I ever seen. Spam jumping was fine in the better, they made it horrible on launch & all people do is abuse it & make their hitbox non-existent, still no actual sniper nerf, let it be one shot to the head only, sniping is way too easy, they are basically long range shotguns. Getting outgunned with a AR or SMG when you hit your shots first but no flinch & one shot ability of a sniper kicks in, is just too much. Why reward campy behavior that makes the game stagnant & boring. Why reward that with a one shot to the body kill?

@@ScottyMcGaming what opinion.... You defending this dev team like everybody else? Mark even said it's MMO servers on Twitter, Mark also said everything I said he said, why tf would I need to lie? This is facts, anybody who followed knows, so you telling me your doing info on a game you ain't even fully followed to the point where you think FACTS is a "opinion" here we go again not holding dog shit devs accountable hence why they released dog shit products..... 💀

Oh dear, here we go… Hey, honey, we’ve got another parrot here!
Okay, delays: They were necessary due to the Netcode causing issues with matchmaking on consoles, they needed to fix that, and eventually the fix was a whole new Netcode… The new Netcode? Ah, yeah, needs work but not too terrible, I can adapt and handle this, it’s only a few months old (not the same as last year’s beta), so pretty much where I’d expect it to be at this point - It’s better than some other games have been, so all good… First impressions? A pretty good game with lots of potential… I like it… It’s not rushed, game development is a marathon not a sprint, and unless you know game development, you can’t say for sure whether it’s rushed or not! Bunny hopping has been nerfed, snipers are perfect now after their recent nerf… Camping is next to non existent in XDefiant, the game is too fast paced for it, I rarely see anyone try camping and when they do, they don’t last long… So those parts tell me you don’t play the game! As for everything Mark said, he’s 100% right, go play another game and come back after they’ve fixed everything, it’s healthy to go play other games, else you’ll burn out on the one! I play XDefiant maybe 6 hours per week, the rest of the time I’m playing other games and 90% of them aren’t shooters… Though I don’t play much because I have a job and a life… Finally, I’ve said it in most of my videos about the engine being for MMO, not FPS, and it’s no small feat, but it is doable and they’re working hard to get it done, and now with more of the devs at Ubisoft San Francisco being reassigned to help and focus on XDefiant, we will see more being done…
On the note of blaming the devs and holding them accountable: No I don’t, because being under the umbrella of a big corporate publisher like Ubisoft is a lot harder than gamers think… Ubisoft are a very demanding corporation and the devs have to do what they say, or go find other jobs! So, blaming the devs isn’t an option… The blame is entirely the corporate suits… Mark is doing his best with what he has and I admire his strength for sticking with them… Mind you, he was under Activision for a long time, Ubisoft aren’t anywhere near as bad…
So, there’s your “FACTS” answered, happy now? Look, I get it, you’re of a younger generation than Mark and myself and we don’t often say things in a way you guys understand, but we do try, you know? Don’t take anything Mark says as a direct attack or meaning he doesn’t care about you or the game, because he absolutely does… Well, unless you said something nasty about him or his team, he will defend them… He’s one man trying to keep the players informed and happy, while trying to keep the corporate suits happy, while structuring his team and working on getting the game fixed and polished… The man doesn’t have an easy job and can’t always be objective to one thing at a time… And, given his recent return from seeing his dear old mother “Possibly for the last time!” I think we can cut the guy some slack… Don’t you? 😎

@@ScottyMcGamingI’ve never played another shooter with worse netcode. Well, other than f2p Korean shooters from 2008. Maybe we are all talking past each other because we have different experiences with it. If it were the occasional Noreg, fine. But it’s like half of the engagements. I will say it depends on when I play. If it’s 4 am and nobody is on, I see way less issues
