Just a little advice (you probably already know that) but its always better to buy two budgies because one budgie could feel alone and get behavioural disorders. If you are afraid your budgies won't be tamed you can first buy one and when the budgie is tamed buy the second one. 🙂

ok so my budgie used to be tame, then one day she suddenly started biting (or atleast trying) whenever my hand was near her unless she landed on the ground. Today, she suddenly started stepping up on my hand when it was a few inches away from her, and she did not bite, and she flew to my shoulder randomly. Just like to clarify. I myself own a budgie and have had him for 6 years now. And he pants, but he’s in the cage. And it’s a bit hot out. Birds expand their wings to get coolness that way. Also the beak is normally their way of expressing how the pant, just like dogs pant with their tongues. It took nearly two years to tame my budgies enough to fly to me and on my shoulder they were never clipt so it was very hard but i gave them a ton of patience and they came to me on their own
I can tell when they are afraid or want to go back because when they are scared they kind of hold their wings out like they are panting and their feathers get flat. Also when they want to go back, my clipped budgies who I am just taming will try to look or lean towards their cage.
My budgies are not scared of me when they are in their cage; they sing to me even on some days! But even after a few months of being home, they are scared of my hand and won’t sit on it; as well as they fly around when I put in their seeds in their cage daily. What should I do to help the taming process? I know it takes time, that’s for sure lol.
I was curious about the fear poop because my budgies companion did a few after a bath, but calmed down when he dried off at his little heat source. Thx for the videos :)
I had to implement some creative thoughts, mine was so scared! Try placing millet somewhere its bound to fall while being eaten. This gives you the chance to rescue a treat for your bird after theyve had a taste and theyre more likely to accept it from you!

I just got my parakeet yesterday and he doesn't like to move around alot is that normal? And he will only eat a few bites of food is that also normal? I got him from Petsmart and one more question HE POOPS SOOO MUTCH is that normal as well?
If you only got him a day ago he might still need time to settle in. It's definitely normal for a new budgie to not move a lot during the first couple of days, and they can go the first 48 hours without any food or water at all. (Keep in mind that budgies eat quite often, but not large amounts at once.) If he still hasn't moved or started eating properly after two days you should probably ask a professional for advice. As for poop, budgies poop once every 10-15 minutes on average, so yes pooping a lot is normal.

If you only got him a day ago he might still need time to settle in. (Keep in mind that budgies eat quite often, but not large amounts at once.) If he still hasn't moved or started eating properly after two days you should probably ask a professional for advice.
As for poop, budgies poop once every 10-15 minutes on average, so yes pooping a lot is normal.
