After this video I've discovered a great program that works with any OpenVR game where you can implement FSR or NIS at GPU driver level.
It's called "VR Performance Toolkit" and it provides a performance boost for the same or almost exact same image quality.
Unfortunately the in-game implementation of FSR and DLSS don't works well with VR, it messes a lot the image, so this method works better.
I intend to make a video explaining how to do it, stay tuned!
Thanks for the great video, finally got it to look good and run as it should 👍 on my 3080 tied so may other set ups this really works and still looks great at 60hz
Really helpful guide, thank you.
We're glad that it helped you! :)
Thank you very much for this Vid - I tried several settings but your settings works best - THX :)
I'm glad that it helped you! :)
great video !! 100% details
We are really glad that you liked it. Many thanks!
Thank you I have a ryzen 7 3800x and 6900xt and G2 of course I will try tonight : )

thank you very much! i have nearly the same setup with G2, Rtx3090 and Ryzen 7 5900X and searched for optimized settings for ACC! Now i try DLSS, if it is a benefit....
Hello Max! I'm planning to do a video with DLSS, but I need to do an extensive test because I don't see any improvements using DLSS...
I need to find a balance between super sampling resolution, pixel density and DLSS quality.
@@allknowngames7431 thanks! yes that would be interesting. my Problem is, even with dlss, when i want a sharp picture, i dont reach 90fps, so i use 60fps. but even when have 60fps with 75-80% gpu load, i still have dropped frames every 10-20 seconds :( dont know why, CPU is never 100 %. In AC i dont have These lags, even with much higher Resolution.
Thanks for the settings! It sorted me out perfectly. Quick question though, have you played with the VR pre-rendered frames in the nvidia control panel? I think it helps smooth out any potential dropped frames. I am also debating if it's worth trading out the 150% vr pixel density to reach 90 fps.
Yes, I've played with the pre-rendered frames setting but I didn't noticed improvements. There are people that uses it set to 2 and 3, but it causes a delay, which for racing is not ideal.
You can decrease the pixel density, but the image will be more blurry, I would rather prefer to activate the reprojection and get those 90fps with the exact same settings.
@@allknowngames7431 i cant wait to get a vr for my simset your awesome for talking about all of this

Would love to hear your insights now when ACC has DLSS and FSR
Hi Povilas! I've just tried both DLSS and FSR a few days ago, and I'm afraid that for us with VR it will not make a difference, what I've noticed is that I had the same FPS's but with a lot more ghosting...DLSS works quite nice on No Mans Sky, strangely on this game not so much! BUT, I need to play more with the settings to find a balance between image quality and FPS's. I will make a video on that, but I want to be sure that I have tried everything to get what DLSS and FSR has to offer in this game.

hey, great video! i was wondering if you would be able to help me with reocrding with the g2?im using steam mirror but it seems a little choppy.
Hello!
For ACC and most of the games, I'm recording the game window, not the steamVR mirror.
It can be that your image is choppy because you're using reprojection.
Reprojection uses a vector base algorithm to render "fake" frames for your headset, so if you use, for example, 60fps with reprojection, in reality only 30fps are being drawn, the same amount of fps used for your window/mirror.
There was also a problem with the steamVR plugging that was creating a choppy image for all games except for the ones designed especially for steamVR, but that was fixed on the new version.
Make sure you're using beta versions both in steamVR and on Windows Mixed Reality for steamVR.
@@allknowngames7431 thank you for the response I’ll give it a try!

great game, but playing with an super wide headset at any decent setting is basically impossible. I miss the tyre model, but I'll stick with AC and wait for AC2 unfortunately
Which headset are you using?
Curious if you are not streaming are you able to hit 90 on the refresh rate or up any other settings? Wondering if you run different settings when not streaming.
Hello Michael,
No, I can't get 90fps with this image quality, to reach 90fps I need to sacrifice a lot on settings.
These settings are the same ones that I use when I'm not streaming, but of course the frametimes decrease which provides a smoother experience.

Can i play Automobilista 2 and Raceroom with this settings.Did you try it.I have rtx 3070.Thank you.
Hi Roberto, yes, you can use these setting except the ones that are used inside ACC itself.

Confused about something. You did not do any settings under the VR section. This is video for the HP Reverb G2 VR headset. Why would you not use any setting under the VR section of ACC?
Hi Greg! In order to have better results, the best VR settings under StreamVR are the default ones, they just don't need to be touched.
On ACC itself, I've changed the Pixel Density to 150%, which is a VR setting only.

I got the same GPU. Mine died a month after buying it. I sent it to repair or replace and it took them more than a month to get it REPAIRED. I started using the RTX3090 again and less than a week later it broke AGAIN! It's been a month since I sent it back for repair.
PEOPLE! DON'T BUY GYGABITE!
I have a RTX2080TI and that's what I am using (I had it before buying the 3090) considering that Gygabite's repair center did not give any "loaner" GPU.
I've had a bad experience with a Gigabyte gfx card back in the day aswell. I've had MSI cards ever since, gaming x trio's, never had a problem.
I'm sorry to ear that!
As I said on the video, "don't buy it, unless you have no other option".
I've seen a lot of bad reviews about Gigabyte temperatures before I brought it, but at the time no GPUs were available, so I gave it a go.
It looks like I'm one of the lucky ones.
I mined with it at 100% load 24/7 for 6 months non-stop and it's still running like the day I bought it.
It is very loud, but these types of cooling are like that.

Kind of makes a mockery of claims of some with 2K series GPU's of 90fps with a G2.
They are using reprojection and lower settings for sure.
@@allknowngames7431 Without a doubt.
I have a 3080 and I've come to the conclusion 90fps is not a viable option until the Nvidia 4K series of GPU's is launched.
60hz is what I've set my G2 too but its still a balancing act to get a solid 60fps.
@@Coxy_Wrecked yea I'm looking at a 3070 or 3070ti up from my 2070 would get a 3090 but they cost $3600aud lol
@@fabz1817 The GPU market is crazy on these days! Luckily I had the change to grab my 3090 on a decent price.
