I find it interesting that, in this world, despite there being no Clark Kent, no Diana Prince and no Bruce Wayne, that there's still a Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, who form a Trinity and a Justice League

Really liked this movie, wish it got a sequel
It was supposed to continue with a series consisting of 10 episodes after a 3 episode first season (but it got shelved indefinitely)

I like this version of superman and batman far more than the current versions, it's so stale hearing the same story over and over again
G & M Superman is my favorite animated version of Superman when he called Lois Lane a bitch I was sold

Also, I think its Criminal that Gods & Monsters hasn't been greenlit. Its such a fantastic elseworlds story and so much going for it. The shorts were also amazing! Sad shame they weren't included in the Bluray& DVD combo pack....probably Machinama shanenigans!

Surely there must be SOME way to continue this series! Be it comic or animated this it was really interesting how they mixed around the lore into something familiar as it is bizarre. Seeing more characters mixed like this would be incredible!

@@SuperboyLilly Yeah it seems like in this universe the heroes are antiheroes/villains, while the villains are heroes/more heroic. So, to me there's a lot of potential there. Like for example, does this universe have a Flash and if so is he Eobard Thawne or someone else entirely or what about the New Gods they seem pretty villainous in the movie, so does this make High Father the Darkseid of this universe?

@@maniacgreen8609 I think it'd be really cool if his origin in this universe was that he actually did kill Barry Allen as a child and just took his identity, so that he could become the hero that he always wanted to be. But because he's not as good as Barry Allen, its made his Flash much darker and more brutal in his approach to fighting crime. Maybe even going as far as to take his face and name to do it.

Abin sur the yellow lantern crashes in gotham so the ring finds the one who inspires the most fear Jonathan Crane for it is the yellow lanterns who enforce peace through fear

One of my favorite animated movies it is ridiculous that they haven't attempted a second movie.
Well the way I would use the term “Gods and Monsters is a bit wasted here because I think of Gods and Monster from universal monsters, which I would have that Batman,Flash and Hawkgirl get teleported to a different universe where they have a monstrous counterparts
Superman- Frankenstein’s monster
Batman- a vampire ( which I will name him “the Bat King”)
Flash-a Werewolf ( which I call him the Slash)
Hawkgirl- a Mummy
Green lantern- a Headless Horseman
Martian Manhunter- a Martian ( but not like the DC Martians where they read minds, shapeshifting and walk through walls, but can persuade people, technology and possibly a 12th intellect)
Wonder Woman is really difficult to come up with.

Hey Watchtower Database I absolutely love The DC Animated Movie Justice League: Gods And Monsters it's such a great DC comics movie!!!!!!!!!! What I loved about this version of batman is that he's a vampire who feeds on criminals and that it's Dr. Kirk Langstrom instead of Bruce Wayne plus this Justice League film is really action-packed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I watch y'all's videos everyday 247 plus you guys are the best and watching y'all's youtube videos makes me want to rewatch and re-visit all those classic DC cartoons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to say thank you so much for keeping me entertained with y'all's amazing and outstanding videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys have by far the coolest DCAU youtube channel ever :)

I think it’s criminal that we’re not going to see any more of this world in any format, especially since DC's Black label would be the perfect label to adapt into (like a Gods and Monsters Adventures title).

I really love this version of the Justice League I much prefer this version of the League than the original it’s just something new and fresh and I down for it. I love how Superman is the son of General Zod more than being the son of Jor-El and I love how Wonder Woman is a New God more than your typical Amazonian Princess and also I love how Batman is a vampire and that makes sense because Batman is a guy who dresses up as a huge bat and he’s always seen at night time. I just think that this movie is the best Dc movie ever everything in this movie is fantastic.

I don't know anybody that saw the movie that didn't think it was kickin' so undoubtedly it's a pretty missed opportunity with the cancelled development. All the little twists to the regular universe were pretty well nuanced and original.

I'm of the opinion that Bruce Timm intended (and maybe still intends) to dovetail G&M into the DCAU proper. It's always bothered me that when Timm helmed the DC Original Movies line they never attempted a DCAU feature -- I think Timm wanted to do one but it was vetoed from higher ups who wanted 'edgier' content for the Original Movies. G&M was the compromise Timm proposed, being an 'edgier' take on the JL using the Timm design aesthetics. Once G&M was proven successful they were going to do a DCAU crossover film and possibly more DCAU films. Unfortunately things didn't pan out and G&M was among the lowest (if not *the* lowest) grossing Original Movie to date (you can't fault the quality of the film, and the Original Movie line has been afflicted with decreasing returns for some time now). It does seem that the wind has changed and we now got B&HQ and JLvsFF but I think these were greenlit as a last ditch attempt to inject some life into the Original Movies line. Hopefully someday we may see more G&M and DCAU content!
Edit -- Gross revenues:
Gods & Monsters -- $2,928,060
Batman and Harley Quinn -- $2,146,935
Justice League vs. The Fatal Five -- $2,964,615
Ouch! B&HQ is now the lowest grossing Original Movie (which may be a reflection of it's quality, LOL!). JLvsFF fared about the same as G&M. Unfortunately, these are the three lowest-grossing films of the entire line. The future does indeed look pretty grim for any more content from these properties...

@@jamesjackson6563 Haven't seen any numbers for BB Blu Ray but I've heard the BTAS Blu Rays did quite well and will likely be a perennial seller like the individual BTAS DVD volumes -- I still see the DVD volumes in stores almost 15 years after they were released, now that's staying power! That we are even getting Batman Beyond on Blu-Ray next is a very good sign. Here's hoping Superman:TAS, Static Shock, and Zeta are next (and maybe a Complete DCAU set at some point).

I missed the shorts entirely when they came out. How were they originally released, and where can I find them now?
They used to be on the Machinima RUclips channel, which no longer exists. That’s where they were released. Like we mention near the end of the video, you can now find them on The World’s Finest website (link in the description).
Gods and Monsters is my second favorite DCAU there is (with OG being my number 1 and DCAMU being my number 3). I really wish there was more to this one and knowing there was a season 2 of ready scripts really bums me out since we will likely never see it.
Could it happen someday that this world crosses over with the DCAU in a sort of parallel universe meeting.

I like the Gods and Monsters universe better than the original. The character of Batman makes more sense as a vampire
Makes you wonder what Bruce Wayne is up to in the G&M reaiity. I could see Bruce becoming a doctor like his (still living?) Father and trying to help Langstrom cure his condition -- I think in no matter what reality Bruce is always fighting the good fight (or what he believes it to be).

I wonder why Neal Adams got a creator credit (in Gods & Monsters) for Kirk Langstrom, but not Frank Robbins, who wrote all the early Man-Bat stories and drew some of the early ones as well.
