So to be in this band do you have to be in the military or is it just a normal college band. I'm asking because I saw a lot of army pants and uniform shirt
Everyone in the band is a member of the Corps of Cadets. Many cadets become commissioned officers in the U.S. armed forces. However, many cadets go on to civilian careers. Most of the student body is not in corps. The band is military, not show, in character. It is, very definitely, not a "normal" college band.
@@eliduttman315 God military band I wanna go to a&m so bad but hot damn is military band stupid, I'm cool with show or Corp( if there are any in college)
Idk I'm just trying to figure out why the bass drummer is at yell practice with just his Hanes briefs on. They don't roll up that bad..you could still put pants on bud.
1:48 RIP that bass drum. Heads on bass drums would last a lot longer if you don't play them so hard, theirs no need to bang on it constantly like that. You can seriously damage it to the point where it's not playable, like what he's doing at 1:26 .
@@blaizeburley8673 My apologies if my comments were salty, I am a little unaware of the Aggie Band. I've just never seen people bang on drum that hard before. I'm glad they replace them constantly.
@@tucker.84 they break them on purpose actually, i don’t remember the exact tradition but breaking a bass drum is kind of a big deal, that’s why the bass drummers are usually pretty jacked
There reaches a point on a bass drum where it doesn't matter how much more you bang on the drum it will NOT be louder. Pointless damaging of the bass drum head, poor technique and ill discipline!
It looks like everyone is having fun!
my favorite part is the dress code we went from camo pants to jeans to short shorts and a unbuttoned uniform top
Like That breakdown in that song piece The Noble Man song

I guarantee you, the whole purpose is the break the drum head. The more broken drum heads the better.
Could’ve used more cymbals
