never been to midnight yell but just attending a game is special. when my daughter graduated from college in VA and moved to TX, started dating an aggie and she told me he had to kiss her everytime a&m scored. was really happy that their offense that season was really bad so no harm done. was speaking with her one week and she said that they were going to a game in a few weeks and would be in the a&m president's box. one saturday was watching college football on tv and the phone rings, answered and a voice asks, is this Rick and say yes it is. the voice says, this is president george bush 41 and am having lunch with your lovely daughter at the a&m game today. we chatted a few minutes, such a class guy to do my daughter the favor of calling the old man. one of those WOW moments in life. I read a book about the rivalry of texas and texas a&m and one aggie simply put it "from the outside looking in you cant understand it and from the inside looking out you cant explain it"

At my daughter's wedding, the bride and groom both Aggie grads, called all their Aggie friends to the dance floor, got in a circle, sang the Aggie War HYmn, complete with locking arms and swaying
I just went to the Aggie/Bama game. A/M reminds me of Soccer in Europe; songs, chants, loud, passion. I love that atmosphere. So far the best college atmosphere yet! I love all the traditions.

Is this some sort of joke? Why is there a need to practice yelling? Most fans across this country don’t need practice. They know how to yell for their favorite team.
What is the narrative behind the use of a song containing multiple N-words and FBombs as the football team entrance song at Kyle Field? Many still do take offense to the use of these racial slurs.. One would think A&M would want to be part of the solution, not the problem?

My husband and I always kissed after any score by the Texas Aggies even after 62 years of marriage

So true, I grew up at A❤&M, then went away to college at UT, so I was truly blessed with the best of both worlds. 😅😅

A few years ago, some maroon blubonnets started popping up on the UT campus. Of course they blamed the agricultural college.
When I was there in the early 80's , they did lots of jokes too. Fun time.
