I have a GLC 300 and have been looking to buy a Lincoln for a comfortable ride MB too stiff - so unlike your Aviator? Did you look at Nautilus? I really don’t need 3 row I just want a nice comfortable car and higher up
The Lincoln is made with better quality materials but also much more expensive. I actually just test drove an Explorer ST and an Aviator Reserve this week and, with similar options and features, the Aviator was priced more than $10,000 higher at the same dealership. Just the upgrade from the stock 20" wheels to those 22" we see in this video was $8,500. The fully-loaded Explorer was $62,000 and the Aviator was just under $75,000. That being said, the Lincoln really was much nicer quality.
You can't really compare them because one is luxurious and the other one isn't. I would go with the aviator 100 times. just because they're made by ford it doesn't mean that they look alike. i don't think they do.
I compared both for weeks, drove both multiple times. The fit and finish of the Reserve is day and night better. Plush, soft and powerful. The ST rides like an import sports car - not a knock. The Explorer is fast and nimble, but rigid…the Reserve is smooth and silky, well equipped but soft. As a mid 40’s guy, it’s Reserve all day…+10k, worth it all day.
Just picked up a 2021 Explorer ST the other day. It's a bit harsher than my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee but the trade off is better in the Explorer: more room, more tech, handling is on par with the Germans and that engine..... it's a amazing motor! So far(a week) so good 👍
The SYNC 3 is a huge disappointment. Makes me want to drive my ST off a cliff. Super slow and has numerous bugs. Wait til you get the blue screen of death with your surround view camera too. So embarrassing when you’re driving a $60-80k vehicle. I can’t believe they allowed that crap software to go out with these vehicles.
The Explorer's hideous looking vertical center screen sticks out like a hardon on a teenaged jock watching the cheerleaders warmup 😅 The Explorer and Lincoln perform like different vehicles and have 2 different purposes. I'd choose the Lincoln for style and comfort and the Ford for sporty activities and outdoor adventures.
Love the Ford Explorer been dealing with for over 20 yrs hands down to the Ford Explorer ST with the High Performance pkg.2023 I love mines.BEACH FORD, VA Beach Va.
What would be more interested is a high end Explorer with a lower trim Aviator. If my budget is ~60K, is the Platinum Explorer as good or better than the lower trim Aviator at about the same price point. Does the Lincoln's ride and handling make up for less features at that price point? (edit: typos)
Lincoln is one of the most under rated vehicles! People dont realize they are not your grandfathers Lincoln. I wish they would bring back the last continental one of the best looking cars! It will be a collector as well not many were made. Black label with 3.0 twin turbo it will move.
Aviator bought one a month ago hands down the way to go We traded our expedition in so much more comfortable. Would not consider the explorer. Also you get better warranty with Lincoln
Any word on the Stop Sell Recall still in place? Got to be driving people crazy looking at their vehicle on the lot they bought but can’t have yet. This has been since April how are they surviving. 422,000 on recall 😳
@@EdwardGomez-u8emy nephew bought the aviator . The recall was for the camera , I believe it was a chip issue It’s since been fixed . At least in California the dealership wouldn’t sell Aviators until problem was solved or that what the dealership told me . I got a smaller Lincoln and quite please .
That’s a bold faced lie. I pummeled my explorer st , and was still going strong at 120k with zero issues aside from a leaking oil pan “ plastic junk” unfortunately I let someone borrow it and they totaled it passing a car in a torrential downpour 🤦🏽🤦🏽 looking to buy another or an aviator! 3.0 is an awesome engine - I prefer it over the 3.5
Definitely the aviator. Bought one back in November going from Mercedes glc. Definitely a much better ride so quiet and smooth

Aviator
I also have a GLC300 and just want a more comfortable rid MB IS TOO STIFF & too small
@@deniselanglois6193 I had the Nautilus as a loaner when the Aviator went in for service. Not nearly as nice a car as the Aviator IMO.
The nautilus is a more luxury ride than the Explorer and I assume the Aviator Is the same
Hi Ben- did the aviator have air glide suspension or regular?
That’s an option on 2nd to last trim and standard on top trim.

When you're sitting in the backseat handcuffed, comfort's probably the last thing on your mind
😮😂
I prefer abraham lincorn 🤘🏻
🌽
As my dad would say, the Aviator is the Explorer ST wearing its church clothes.
You can't really compare them because one is luxurious and the other one isn't. I would go with the aviator 100 times. just because they're made by ford it doesn't mean that they look alike. i don't think they do.
Not only do I like to style of the Ford explorer a much much more but I was also very surprised how different they are.

@@jjchello bruh..I almost snatched the damn thing out of it. Rest of the truck...ok. Get better mileage than the Jeep, not bad for a twin turbo 🤷
Explorer Platinum is the perfect in between for ride quality and style for me! Just got ours two weeks ago, massaging seats and all.
Loving the aviator ❤

The vertical infotainment system in annoyingly way too tall in the Explorer
How does rear cargo space compare? Explorer looks a bit bigger in rear ?
3:28 I like how Lincoln hides the rear wiper on the top.
Air suspension and Revel Ultima sound system in the Aviator make a huge difference over the ST.
I love Linclon Cars I used to own one but I don't be to fancy u know what I mean so I have a 2017 Ford explorer Platinum

The Lincoln is the luxury version of the standard ford vehicle. If you're basic just say that
Thise would be worth buying at half the price.
Great video, very beautiful. I'm a big fan of you+👍🔔

What min octane required for full power?
Is the tow hitch hidden in the Lincoln??
Lincoln is my preference.
2022 explorer,not 2023?
I think my first choice is Ford because the Ford explorer is not expensive
Aviator!!!
Driven with any aggressive tendencies..will not make 100k without major issues!

Good video. Lincoln for a luxurious look and feel.
NEITHER is the better buy….
Get a:
Lexus GX-460…
V8 that sucks gas with no pickup and weak tech.
That V8 is slow and way overpriced
My explorer was a monster - I can’t wait to get another one . Either explorer or aviator
They are just alike
Ford and their non stop recalls. SMH
aviator looks like dodge durango.
Are you high? That Lincoln looks way better bro
I would definitely go with the Explorer
In today’s world they are both 30,000 dollars to much! You can buy BMW, Lexas or Mercedes for less money !
Lincoln and Ford been double dipping with the same basic platforms with hefty price tags all fluff no real substance on both makes
Toyota? Nissan? Honda?
I love that ST. Especially that color! I'll take that 1!
