I’m glad that everyone likes the aviator. I’m proud to be a UAW-FORD employee of 15yrs. I work at Chicago Assembly Plant(CAP) where we build the Aviator & the all new Explorer. In solidarity-UAW-FORD
Whats going on with the rear door on the drivers side? You can plainly see at the belt line that the trim is mis aligned. On some reviews that show the door all the to the top, you can see the whole door sits a little high. I've seen it on about 7 or 8 reviews, so this one isn't a fluke. I really like the look of this vehicle and hope to have one within a year.
I enjoyed this video so much that I hadn’t realized it was an hour long. I was actually hoping there were more features to talk about. Absolutely the best review I’ve seen for ANY vehicle, anywhere. Great Job!!
Sir, I don’t know who you are but, this was a brilliant and informative video for me. Never thought I would take a look at a domestic vehicle again even though I had owned a 2001 Lincoln LS the V6 model. Yet I just stumbled upon your channel today and all I can say is that plenty of effort went into this video, exceptional !i spent the best part of my drive to Dallas, Texas from Atlanta, Ga just glancing and listening to the full presentation. I am now actually considering, my wife and the Aviator. You have earned my sub, and thumbs up on all the Lincoln SUV line. Keep up the good work. The only thing I believe that is missing currently, is a night time view, because the Lincoln line up has some of the best lighting ambience to date, I saw on earlier today, and just said to myself...."just dam!" Keep up the great videos.
One other stand alone option I discovered on the updated order guide are running boards. I had them on my 17 Explorer, so this news really caught my interest.
Great video, I hope you do a complete guide on the 2021 Navigator, I couldn’t find one on the 2020 Navigator. Also pricing of the options and packages would be a nice feature of the video or where to find that info.
44:06 - Regarding the tow hitch cover. Is there not a decorative trim piece that replaces the full cover so that the hitch receiver can stay connected to the car and not have all that area exposed? It's a very inelegant view when the hitch receiver is connected and not towing if that's the case.
Quick question...do the 2nd (middle) row seatbacks fold flat? If so how does that work with the different consoles? Maybe add that to your video...how the cargo area lays out. Thanks!
That is part of the Illumination Package which is standard on the Reserve II, 202A (47:52). I think I listed it as optional on the Reserve I, 201A but that changed in midway through the 2020 model year. Now only available on Reserve II, 202A.
Please present the Standard Aviator; what’s standard and what’s optional, and compare to the Reserve. Not much information out there on the Standard trim and dealers don’t stock it.
ed Morse Yes you can. It's probably around $2.5k which is a ripoff for AWD which is necessary for snowy winter states such as NY, NJ, CT, PA, among other snowy states that have winter storms throughout the winter season. That $2510 could be used towards the Dynamic Handling Package for the many roads that have potholes in NY & NJ 🤦🏽♂️🙄😂😂
The mirrors don't fold down to see as you are backing up. I think Cadillac has those but Lincoln does not. The feature you may be seeing in the settings is the Autofold Mirrors. That means they will fold in towards the window when you lock the vehicle.
@@longmcarthurford talking about the blue one staring your clip at beginning? And if yes where do I see that option? Was looking all over my settings and couldn't find...
@@CantorialArt Oh, sorry I recorded that video 15 months ago. The Blue at the beginning did not have the package that includes the air suspension. The suspension adapts based on the drive modes and when you turn the vehicle off and on.
People do not buy these yet,,,as of yesterday Ford is trying to contact all owners of the new Explorer and Aviatior, the quality control coming out of Chicago is as poor as can be, one lady out west already started a class action lawsuit because the ELECTRIC parking brake engaged at highway speed and tore the whole driveline up and made her slide off the road, these two vehicles are having enormous amounts of electrical issues, the instrument clusters are failing, seatbelts not locking in place, blind spot monitoring not working, the list goes on,,,,don’t believe me, look it up, my wife and I stopped by our local dealership and was going to test drive and probably buy the new Explorer and the didn’t have a single one, they loaded what they had on a truck and shipped them back to Kentucky. Unreal.
Thank you so much for your comment. I've been considering this vehicle for a while and after reading your comment I may need to rethink this. I really do need a vehicle like yesterday.
That is what a warranty is for..this takes care of that..and besides stop trying to ruin people dreams..all new models come with some type of problem..never go by what people say instead look into it yourself..this world is full of negativity..if it's not up building never follow. .this vehicle is hot!!! I bet it last longer than the Germans..🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️👀
And if I was spreading false information then why did this gentleman at this dealership put my comment to the top and HIGHLIGHT IT? Now I have noticed it’s no longer highlighted, where it usually says highlighted it is now a blacked out block, only the owner of the video can do this, thats a cheseesy way to go mr salesman, what a great salesman should do is comment instead and clear up why these vehicles are not even coming out of the gate safe to drive, why not inform people? Btw, I will still buy the Explorer for my wife in December, just be a man and clear the air, let us know
I did not remove your comment, I won't remove comments unless it has vulgar language. I'm not sure how the comments get highlighted. I can pin comments to the top but not highlight them. I assume that the comment gets highlighted for a certain time and then put into the order of when it was posted. I am not aware of the lawsuit on the Aviators. We are not allowed to sell vehicles with recalls on them and the Aviator does not have any recalls. I also couldn't find any lawsuits on Google.
Long McArthur here’s the recall number, 19C06, and here’s is where it’s cited, on a Ford Website, honestly, how hard did you look fordauthority.com/2019/08/recall-issued-on-2020-ford-explorer-and-lincoln-aviator/.......so if you don’t sell vehicles with recalls out, you shouldn’t have made one single sale yet, but I bet you have.....you work for Ford and don’t know of this?? I know for a fact they have been sold, my neighbor down the street bought one and Ford came to his house and took the vehical back to Michigan, it’s been 3 weeks, and as far as the lawsuit is concerned, it was on a local Southern California news network, I’m absolutely sure it got settled with hush hush money out of court. Ford has already flopped out of the gate with both Explorer and Aviator models, they don’t need my help, this thread has gotten out of hand, I just don’t like being called a lier, and I am a brand loyal customer of Ford, owned 15 in the last 25 years. I just think people should be informed.
Why is Lincoln behind the innovation curve RE: Rear View Mirror Camera. This feature has been available on GM vehicles for the past 3 years. Someone in Sales is asleep, or they don't want to dignify a GM feature by including it. The Aviator has everything else. Very disappointing. If they don't wake up in 2022, I will have to go w/Cadillac.
The Illumination Package can be configured with the 201A Reserve I package now actually on the configurator
You are correct, they did updated that, the order guide that Lincoln gave us is incorrect. Thank you!
Is there a specific way to turn this on?

Very nice vehicle and your review is the most thorough I've seen on. I'm considering purchasing this vehicle. I really like this vehicle.
I loved that Blue Diamond on the standard Reserve!
Finally! Love this SUV over all the rest.

AWESOME video! I cannot wait to order mine!!!! I have to wait only a few more months!!!!
Thank you for an in-depth walk through of 201A and 202A.

The best car video I have seen.
This is the BEST review out there on this vehicle . Awesome video thank you!
Love the attention to detail! Excellent job introducing the vehicle!

Glad it helped!
Great review I have been to Salina Kansas when I was stationed at Ft. Riley Kansas THE BIG RED ONE.

That is the only hitch cover available.
I would bet you could buy a new hitch cover and cut it or have it cut so it fits over the hitch bar.
For 2022 did they remove the frog light on the 201A package
solid built it looks like, nice
There is a recall for Lincoln’s aviator and bronco eco boost engine - need replace engines

DOES THE 2020 LINCOLN AVIATOR HAVE A CD PLAYER AND A CIGARETTE LIGHTER ADAPTER IN THE CAR
No

Hi the model what you show here is there a setting you can put on the Lincoln Star on front grill to light up at night with all other lights at night?
