Thats what I do in these games... I use every weapon I come across for a few minutes at least.
The stats don't always tell you everything, you gotta test things out.
Especially damage stats.
I had a frost shotgun that was lower damage than others in my backpack, and it just ripped. I used it for 7 or 8 levels above its rating and it still ripped.
And I have had guns with crazy stats like 95x5 damage and they sucked... some legendaries that were outperformed by greens.
You never know.
The redonkulous number and variety of loot in this game is the only thing I really have a complaint about. Too much junk. But you need that gold... so damn much gold... ok, 2 complaints... to unlock your inventory.
I liked Wonderlands a lot. I just started a new charachter again. The dumb stuff, the cringe, the nonsense... its because its a game of D&D with an insane child as DM 😂. Just gotta remember that cus yeah... there are some serious "WTF was that shiz?" moments 😂.

Does your weapon do damage at a range, have a decent supply of ammo throughout the game? If the answer is yes then yes.
If the answer is no then does the game require you to take out a guy at range that you can’t hit without a range weapon and is blocking progress? If yes then no
