    Many people don’t know this but COLOR is the biggest difference!
    Which color do you like better? 14k or 18k?!

    • @averycheesypotato
      @averycheesypotato 7 месяцев назад +1

      14k, save that filigree!
      BTW, do you think you could do a video on other coloured golds?
      I know purple gold is supposed to be a bit brittle, but blue or green looks amazing too- why is it not more popular, like rose gold?

    • @BijouLab
      @BijouLab  7 месяцев назад +3

      @@averycheesypotato good question! Likely for a few reasons. Not many manufacturers offer it, so not many jewelers can get it. And then not many consumers want it-people want the classic yellow or white options. Even rose gold is not nearly as popular as white or yellow, let alone green gold! 😊

    • @BijouLab

      It is rarely used for engagement rings as it’s too soft to safely hold gemstones.

  • @butterbeanqueen8148
    @butterbeanqueen8148 7 месяцев назад

    If the jewelry is going to be worn regularly, especially if it a ring that holds a gemstone, it needs to be 14 Kt. Anything with a higher gold content is far too soft and just isn’t strong enough to be durable and protect the stone.
    Wear what you want but be prepared to a have dinged, scratched and damaged ring with the possibility of lost stones.
