That has more to do with the cut than with the material. A cz properly Cut is visually indistinguishable from a Diamond. And outside of industrial circumstances the only thing that matters is the visuals. No one will convince me to buy a Diamond especially when CZs are RIGHT THERE.

My culture doesn't do engagement rings and I've been married for years, idk why I ended up here but this was educational. Little dainty rings like that are such a pain in my experience!

This only works in a round brilliant cut. If you had a rose cut diamond, the effect would be the same.

I'm pretty sure my ring has one (it was in the catalogue at Jared's when we looked there, but we ended up buying it from our local jeweler instead, and this was about 6 years ago) but I'm not sure. It's a "diamond solitaire twist engagement ring" but with 4 prongs instead of 6, and i got a cushion cut diamond. :p
