We have another gigantic southbound mixed freight. It had lots of LP gas, quite a bit of lumber, and a gondola with 2 massive steel coils, among other freight. There was a manned trailing DPU, which I've never seen before! There were 190 total cars with a mid-train DPU, also. Fantastic catch, JT! 😃😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍
That was a very nice mixed freight going up the hill. The 2 lead locomotives were working very hard pulling the train uphill with the help of a mid-train DPU! There was a nice variety of freight among the 181 cars. Great catch, JT! 😃😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍
Thanks for the film JT, always enjoy watching slow moving freight passing close by. The placard at 8:32 2067 is for ammonium nitrate fertilizer and not commonly seen. 1075 is real common and is for LPG.
Wow! I don’t know how you do it. Your patience and willingness to wait for trains and then video them so I can relax in my chair and watch them. Thank you from Bark River, Michigan! Our high temperature yesterday was 54 degrees!
We are having a draught. We got a short rain a couple days ago but it is very dry here. They are declaring the counties as natural disaster areas for crops. Ours don't really look all that bad though. Thanks again for the Super Thanks! I appreciate it and I might be going to Illinois in the morning. I almost forgot about the Big Boy steam engine. Right now my luggage is being packed. Thanks again Mark!
Wow, that train was really working hard at 25:18. I love hearing that sound, and Norfolk Southern's two-tone horn, that's what I call it. Great video. Have a nice day 😊🌈❤️
I like the new CPKC paint scheme on the locomotive, but I'll the KCS colors! I think those were the best in the world! I guess that's the price of progress, and nothing is forever. That was a good mixed freight, if not an odd mix. 😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
Another fantastic day of railfanning on The Hill in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Jaw Tooth! You caught that newly painted CPKC engine returning from Paduch, Kentucky. The engine was followed by CN5707 in primary gray paint. I wondered where that engine was going to get painted. Did you notice the seven center beam flatcars of Louisiana Pacific Smart Siding that appeared at 29:06. The LP siding was produced at Sagola, Michigan on the Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad. That is the railroad that Jason Assoline captures and uploads on his RUclips channel. Jason had to capture those seven cars in one of his videos recently. (Posted 9 September 2024 at 1213 CDT.)
Awesome train action in Kentucky with a lot of DPU's and other great train excitement on the tracks especially at all of the crossings there as well as the live action pets dogs and cats at home, the nice music at the end and thanks Jaw Tooth.🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
Long train day plus two meets and CPKC engine, looks good. Fun video for sure. I see Chessie was with you. Good for her. Hi Loki and Norfie. Thanks JT. Stay safe. Love your shirt and black hat . ❤
That was an awesome video JT you had to meets coming up the hill and going down the hill. You couldn’t ask for no better than that but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one.
Oh, and you was wondering if anybody was in that open box car but anyway shoestring he rides up in the lead engine now he sits in the seat behind the conductor seat, so he stays cool in the summertime and warm in the winter time. Rest in peace shoestring because we all miss you my friend.
In my opinion these long trains are the reason cars run the grade crossings. Who wants to wait 12 minutes for a train to pass. Jawtooth I always enjoy your videos. Thanks!
That was so cool when that second train came up behind the first train and then it seemed to slow down so that they were going at pretty much the same speed. Now this is why I enjoy your videos, Brian. So relaxing and entertaining. Keep up the good work, man. Thank you. Marcel.
Thank you so much for the spectacular video! You caught many absolutely amazing trains! And I always love seeing your pets ❤️! Have a wonderful Sunday! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍
187 cars…I think! You sure capture some impressive trains JT. I tried to film a steam hauled excursion on my local mainline, and made a complete cock of it! However there is some great footage on utube. Thank you for keeping us entertained JT much appreciated
Catching a older EMD in the new CPKC paint scheme, a monster train with roaring power meeting a local, and another meet with a monster train with DPU and manned helpers. Epic video JT!!
Awesome first train JT! My favourite but with CPKC & CN ghost train going for a repaint It was like 2 trains in 1 Beautiful filming in Crescent Springs KY I love this location. Those locos were working so hard up the hill! Nice horn sound too from N/S. You caught some monster trains day. Fab hello from 4255. Big hugs to the pets JT. ❤😊👍🐕🐈⬛🐈🐴🐓
@@JawTooth Interesting that you mention Tampa, JT. I live in Central Florida along CSX's "A"-Line (ex-ACL), and these former Amtrak express boxcars are frequent visitors here, enroute to Taft Yard (Orlando) onboard daily manifest train M457. They all carry "CMHX" reporting marks, belonging to a railcar leasing company in South Dakota named "CarMath". Many of these unique boxcars continue to run in Amtrak livery (large blue horizontal band, topped with two red stripes), but -- lately -- I've seen some of these CMHX (ex-Amtrak) cars repainted in a solid, drab grey "scheme". Thanks for your reply.👍👍
As always great video Jaw Tooth! And that new CPKC scheme looks really good on a Geep. Have a good day. That CN SD75I in primer on the first catch is going to Muncie, IN where it will be rebuilt into an SD75ACC.
That train with the cool CPKC engine had a bunch of 5-car sets at the beginning of the consist. I haven't seen that many on one train before. Very cool! The long train going uphill had just enough horsepower to make it - they probably could have used another DPU :)
Awesome trains!! Cool looking locomotive that CPKC was! Sure nice to see that it rains somewhere. Got towards the end of the last trains and there were loads of Smart Side! Jason probably caught them headed south out of Michigan!

I've been hearing CN is rebuilding a lot of their SD75I fleet into what what CN calls SD75IACCs numbered from 8300 and it looks like they have or are rebuilding 50 of these SD75Is for starters according to THE DIESEL SHOP's latest updates for CN power.
