Listening to Tesla's symptoms as a child, it sounds a whole lot like High Functioning Autism. I was diagnosed with it myself in childhood. With autism, you can develop all kind's of weird phobias, and develope new ones later in life as well. Ive also delt with a lifetime of an uncontrollable erge to count things.... constantly. I catch myself counting my footsteps all the time for no good reason....or fence post's, or seems and squares in a tile floor, and on and on. Ive also struggled with feeling different textures. The feel and sound of wearing blue jeans, and hearing them scratch together, or hearing someone scratch their nails on them just about brings me to my knees, for whatever reason. Honestly though, its been my experience that you can improve and heal from a lot of this stuff over time. I used to struggle mightily with meeting new people, or talking to new people, and especially making eye contact. However, with years of practice, and considering Ive had 45 years now to work on it, no one can even tell that Im autistic anymore, unless I tell them.
It's known as OCD now. Not what people usually class it as, its nothing about cleaning and things, its having receptors that fire rapidly in your brain, having a high mental capability, you can cope with the unveliebable outward source of information your brain is recieving, but when you try and shut off your thinking, the receptors still fire but uncontrollably, causing you to need to count and do other 'impulses' to please your need. I suffer from OCD and have all my life and its a curse aswell as a blessing, i can learn and make things with unbelievable ease, but im attracted to anything that gives my mind a rest, such as pharmaceutical drugs the doctors gave me and now it seems alcohol has got my attention... Its a hard burden to carry, i wish you all the best ❤.
ADHD and Autism are their own forms of superpowers, I would bet many of the greats had one or both. They also come with hardships, the world doesn't understand the idiosyncrasies idiosyncrasies that come with either.
Thank you so much for a powerful overview of Tesla's life and work. You gave us important factors (family, historical time and space etc) for deeper understanding of the essence of this great man. Nikola Tesla is my hero and inspiration, as there is a bit of untamed genius dreamer in each of us, only not many as big as Nikola Tesla.🧡

@msaleemkhan... what a genius man wonder why he was not high lighted before. Any one is following his work or organising his discoveries Truly great loss for humanity
It's a shame that Tesla had such a difficult life. Like the greatest musicians or artists that never get the recognition/success they deserve while they are still alive.
True, but a difficult life is usually the cost of having an eccentric mind to think so far out of the box. It's inevitably difficult and lonely to live so far ahead of conventional thinking.
@@wyskass861 Yes seems to be the case a lot of the time. It also didn't help that he mishandled funds/investments. That probably hurt him more than anything, but I would do the same when it comes to other people wanting to use me to get rich. I admire that about him. He was certainly a complicated individual that lived by certain principles and he truly did change the world in time.
I seriously doubt he cared about what the stupid plebs thought of him Not getting adequate funding, partly because he tore up some of his patents was a infinitely bigger source of frustration I'm quite sure Same with Davinci I'd bet Highly intelligent people are mostly intrinsically motivated, and could care less about morons fawning over them Dumb people think because they would love people talking about how smart they are , that intelligent people would as well
This is a most complete story of the life and times of Nikola Tesla. It is a pity that his legacy does not get the recognition that it deserves. That he ran afoul of Capitalists, especially JP Morgan is not difficult to understand when Tesla was touting 'FREE' anything and had the ability to make it happen. How he continues to shape our world is a wonder in itself.
But is it also accurate? That is something we should all ask ourselves... I see some things in here that simply do not add up to the official documents, but don't mind me. What do I know, right?
Tesla was a Pure Genius ✍️ One of a kind that the world has ever seen. We are forever in debt to his immense contributions in the field of electric power & transmission.
@@vorpalblades He showed electricity could be sent wireless, a few years ago scientists were finally able to do that as well. Seems to me he wanted everyone to have free wireless electricity, but greedy bankers prevented that

As a Serbian, found it quite funny that I was taught in (an american no less) school that edison invented electricity. Fantastic biography of the greatest scientific mind in history! Thank you! To your question at the end of the video --- when they asked Einstein what it felt like being the smartest man alive, he said: "I don't know, ask Nikola Tesla."
Its fascinating yet very heart breaking story of this Classic Eccentric Genius of all time Nicola Tesla. Thank you so much for sharing. I'd Admire him so much, he's so Brilliant Indeed! Long Live His Legacy for all mankind! 🙏
Incredible human genius never existed. "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration." ~ Nikola Tesla
Thank you for a brilliant biography of one of the most remarkable men our world has seen. He was complex in a great many ways, possessed of a certain genius, yet hampered by the limitations of his time and the distinction between reality and imagination.🖤🇨🇦
He was undoubtedly the most brilliant man in his field in the last l00 plus years, and were he alive today and recognized as such we would be much more advanced than we are.
His name is honored by Elon Musk. And credit given as well as advancements and improvements to society. He would be proud. Sad to see that the same envious greed is doing its best to cancel and discredit Elon as well.
It is sad that we in the US do not study European history, I learned about Tesla though my Serbian friends who ask me if I knew who this person was. My response was not correct, yet they politely corrected me. I visited Telsa's museum in Belgrade Serbia, a country that not to many Americans visit. There I got to see his inventions to include the Tesla coil, a place learn.
truly the greatest of all times, his research in finding a free type of energy production to all remains one of the biggest secret in history, and a lot of his work still remain overshadowed by an Elite ..
I love how thorough you were with his younger years. I did read a biography years ago that said when he died he had a lot of his work and ideas with him. There are reports that men entered his room after his death and confiscated all these works. I was curious about this and it is apparently true.
Nikola Tesla was a Practical sçientist, nay à Visionary of the highest order! If only he had been sponsored financially by honest believers in his unique abilities who were also friends that he trusted to advise him on financial probity! Unfortunately, some people are parasites who feed on the genius of others and bleed them dry. His incredible ability to visualize solutions laid the foundations of technology of products today that are taken for granted! He, much like Elon Musk, a modern visionary who is currently driving technology through the advancement of Electric transport to replace fossil fuel engines that pollute our planet Earth and poison millions of citizens with toxic fumes that contribute to global warming! Nikola Tesla would have been proud of Elon Musk!
Like many men of genius before him, the phrase "high functioning autism" seems to most accurately describe Tesla's character. Such people often have brilliant engineering minds but are so difficult to fit into normal business models, and to keep them focussed on their best ideas. Thank goodness he managed to finalise the concept of the 3 phase induction motor. It's arguably the most important electrical invention of the 19th century, and it helped create the 20th.
Imagine waking up with an idea so valuable that it could change the world. Will you go for drinks with your acquaintance or will you go to the laboratory to realize that idea. We don't judge people who are much bigger than us.
my son is autistic. and frankly brilliant, in his way. I had never heard of kids teaching themselves to read for instance. I do not believe he will suffer the limitations of those we consider "normal". I have high hopes for him as he continues to surprise me each and every day. But I must admit that I see many of the same communication traits and mannerisms as we see in Elon Musk. As a result, all I can do is try to encourage him in his interests and nourish his abilities.
I'm glad history is finally starting to give Tesla the appreciation he deserves. The reason it has been unfair to him is because of what he faced in his own time. As Churchill said "History is written by the victors".

he was only one of many studying AC power distribution from that period, & the 3 phase system that is still in use today was pioneered by Mikhail Dolivo Dobrovolsky. Tesla & Westinghouse were developing a 2 phase system. it's as well not to believe everything you hear about Tesla
Oh boy! This is easily the best documentary about life of Nikola Tesla. And I viewed so many. I didn't know anything about his mother as an influence on his life. And video is so skillfully illustrated. This video is masterpiece of words and images, thank you!
The most accurate documentary I have seen so far. Read his Autobiography, "My Inventions", which is so advanced that most people today can not completely understand it or even finish reading it. Thanks to the captains of Industry, the robber barons, of his day, and ours humanity and our environment have suffered beyond comprehension from their refusal to Invest in and then successfully suppress Tesla's Ideas and knowledge. Nikola Tesla believed that one-day humankind will be finally ready to follow and Invest In the path he wanted the human race to follow. We still are not ready. Maybe in a couple of centuries, we will be.
He had electric car that went over 120km and charged itself. No one blinked an eye:). In fact there were around 5 companies making electric cars with charge trucks for charging them in the early 1900s. Fact. So we already had everything we needed over 100 years ago that they are claiming we need now. They
Tesla was so far ahead of his time it is not funny. He even found out how to make electricity wirelessly. And he simply became inspired by caressing his cat, causing an static electricity discharge by rubbing the kitty's black fur. Incredible.
I think Nikola Tesla had a wealth of information that would have propelled us into the future much faster, but constantly being put down and taken advantage of, may have taken a severe toll on his brilliance🤕🤔
Edison stole some of his ideas when he employed Tesla. And Edison did not invent the first light-bulb; he was just first to the patent office.. That invention was from an Englishman.
My roots are in Hungary, Slovenia, and Romania. Superior minds, and Spiritually high people struggle in this life, but leave behind extremely high marks.
In 1926, scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla described a future "when wireless is perfectly applied the whole earth" in a way that allows humans "to communicate with one another instantly irrespective of distance" with the clarity of a face-to-face meeting using a device that "will fit in our vest pockets." For years Tesla`s contribution to the modern World was downplayed. Thank You for documenting Tesla`s Inventions, the Modern World will not be possible without!
Watching the life and Times of Nikolai Tesla. It’s amazing such a mind and personality to reshape the way we live today in a modern society. Thank you for this life and Times of a great Man from San Diego, California.
many thanks for all peoples behind this valuable documentary, and many thanks to Nicola Tesla, the AC electricity inventor which helped me see this documentary, god bless you Tesla.
And actually we are today at the beginning of HIS FUTURE! Tesla was mostly working on scalar waves and what can come from it which we almost didn't touch it yet. So the future is really coming for which Tesla worked so hard. WE have to fight for those ideas to go through as the other side want to make it differently "inventing" 5G or 6G which is something as a BIG NO even from Tesla because they are not good for human body and health.
Great video as always, I wish Tesla had been independently wealthy enough to make his dreams reality, we probably would be at least 50 years ahead of where we are now if not 100
what dreams are you referring to? if it's his free energy transmission system, then any decent physicist will tell you that it would never have worked. he had very limited success at transmitting power at short distances, but the idea of a worldwide system was just a pipe dream
@@BobJones-cd9mt Tesla may have been a gifted Electrical engineer but I'm afraid he didn't cut the mustard as a physicist. a lot of the mythology surrounding Tesla is perpetuated by poorly researched material available online. fortunately, some reliable material is available & the Kathy loves physics and history channel is a good example. she is a physicist & published author, & has presented some well researched videos on RUclips regarding Tesla and his contemporaries, which help to dispel much of the rubbish written about the subject. you may not like what you watch, but unlike many of the videos that contain regurgitated information, she has done some good old fashioned research & obtained all of her research from verifiable sources.
The patent thief and pirate, Thomas A. Edison, stole most of his inventions and claimed then as his own inventions. In reality, Thomas Edison invented nothing. He had a team of inventors working for him and he stole as much as he could. He was more of a venture capitalist than anything else. In modern times, he would be in prison for piracy, intellectual goods theft, patent theft, patent infringement, and corporate espionage.
The loss of the planet from the Death of such gifted person isn't measurable , RIP to the greatest Inventor of all time. Amazing documentary and detailed , great work ♥
a gifted Electrical engineer, but far from being the greatest inventor of all time. he was a great man, but has been incorrectly credited with single handedly giving the world AC power distribution. nothing could be further from the truth. he and Westinghouse developed a 2 phase system & Tesla had difficulties ironing out problems he had with his motors and generators. the real hero is Mikhail Dolivo Dobrovolsky, who gave us 3 phase power distribution which is still in use today. have you ever heard of him? not many people have, but believe Tesla to be the inventor. another great man that hardly anyone has heard of is Charles Proteus Steinmetz, who was a German Electrical engineer and mathematician. he contributed so much to Electrical engineering but has been largely forgotten. Tesla certainly deserves recognition, but is not as brilliant as many people believe & so much mythology surrounds him, & is perpetuated by the rubbish available online. if you want to watch a more truthful account online, then Kathy loves physics and history channel have a couple of very well researched videos on RUclips which dispel many of the myths surrounding him.
@@MrGlossyEdits just one of many very gifted Electrical engineers amongst his contemporaries. he has been credited with things that have nothing to do with him. Many people are convinced that he was the sole contributor to AC power distribution, but that is far from the truth. the 3 phase system in use today was pioneered by Mikhail Dolivo Dobrovolsky. Tesla and Westinghouse's system was a 2 phase set up involving 4 wires, which proved to be too expensive. don't believe all the hype surrounding him, because a lot of it stems from poorly researched material online. it's very strange that these fairytales were relatively unknown before the advent of the internet

Elon Musk is following a similar pattern.
ADHD and Autism are their own forms of superpowers, I would bet many of the greats had one or both. They also come with hardships, the world doesn't understand the idiosyncrasies
idiosyncrasies that come with either.
Elon Musk will end up similarly as Tesla. The system will exploit his unique superpowers and then discard him when it’s financially optimal.

Truly great loss for humanity
It's a shame that Tesla had such a difficult life. Like the greatest musicians or artists that never get the recognition/success they deserve while they are still alive.
Our lives make us who we are.
💯
True, but a difficult life is usually the cost of having an eccentric mind to think so far out of the box. It's inevitably difficult and lonely to live so far ahead of conventional thinking.
@@wyskass861 Yes seems to be the case a lot of the time. It also didn't help that he mishandled funds/investments. That probably hurt him more than anything, but I would do the same when it comes to other people wanting to use me to get rich. I admire that about him. He was certainly a complicated individual that lived by certain principles and he truly did change the world in time.

What do I know, right?

truly the greatest of all times, his research in finding a free type of energy production to all remains one of the biggest secret in history, and a lot of his work still remain overshadowed by an Elite ..
I love how thorough you were with his younger years. I did read a biography years ago that said when he died he had a lot of his work and ideas with him. There are reports that men entered his room after his death and confiscated all these works. I was curious about this and it is apparently true.
There was one suspect where his works later turned out.
Nikola Tesla would have been proud of Elon Musk!
the men you are talking about was the usa government and one of them was Trumps onkel.
John Trump's men went into Tesla's home and stole a lot of his work right after he died.
You can bet his work is being used right now.
There’s definitely some OCD in there too
Imagine waking up with an idea so valuable that it could change the world.
Gotta stop putting diseases and disorders on everyone just because they don't function like everyone else...

Tesla was absolutely right when he said:”Future is mine, present is theirs “
And actually we are today at the beginning of HIS FUTURE! Tesla was mostly working on scalar waves and what can come from it which we almost didn't touch it yet. So the future is really coming for which Tesla worked so hard. When you’re well ahead of your time you get ridiculed to the harshest of standards. Man kind has always been afraid and then punished for what they don’t understand
Being a former GE IT associate, I have the unique distinction for my beleif that "Nicola Tesla was a true revolutionary mind who spent the vast najority of his adult life inventing and engineering most of the modern world we live in today. Unlike some people who stayed awake all nite using cocaine, then taking the products of engineers and scientists that worked for him and patenting them under his own name (which was a mandatory requirement 7for working in his labs."
Basically, Tesla was a 'Once in a 5oo year type of mind' and Edison was a patent thief who woule would electrocute living animals in public just to try to win the 'War of the Currents'.
Nikola
Fascinating history. The Tesla-Marconi competition always to be unfairly weighted in favor of Marconi by dubious means. A brilliant life, filled with unfortunate timing.
⚡️⚡️⚡️ I enjoyed this very much. Thank you! The most brilliant indeed.
Thank you Tesla.
The most interesting and important person of modern time.
We all love a genius mad man
*For me as an inventor and electrics engineer, this documentary is superb!* The description of devices has enough science included making it easy to understand inventions of his I have never researched. *I see why I relate to him so well long before his name was commonly known amongst present mankind.*
Inventing in rudimentary levels to present, I have outright invented new technology for mankind, but will it ever be known?
*I have invented a new solar generator unrelated to the semiconductor photovoltaic technology.*
A generator that makes all of mankind adapting to electric vehicles and disconnecting from the power grid a feasible reality.

🙂
Nikola Tesla not Thomas Edison but most people are too ignorant and arrogant to understand that.
