When you said you hated the W210 because of the front it felt so relatable, I always found them ugly but right now I'm on my second CLK w208 and the design still grows on me 😅 Thanks to your videos I might do the manual swap one day, I feel like I know everything I need to know
Great job! car looks awesome! couple of questions: how's the gearing? what's your cruising rpm? did you ever figure out the reverse gear light?.....that's like 3 questions, sorry! P.S.: I subbed, liking what you're doing!
Thank you! The reverse light I have not messed with, but it doesn't look overly complicated to get working (dzmitry who has a manual swap clk got his working). I'll take note of the cruising rpm and get back to you!
I am 95% sure you can just code it for manual trans under DME developer mode in factory DAS software. I have seen it in Das under m112 motors. Takes about 5 minutes.
Hello! First of all, congratulations for the work, what do you do with recording step by step the work, what do you do to change from automatic to manual... congratulations! I wanted to ask you if the parts you use to make the old E55 saloon w210 manual are also valid for the modern E55 saloon w210. And the other question I have is if you have made any electronic modifications to eliminate the possible failures that were asked to appear on the dashboard. Many thanks!!!
@@ANDERZENAMG I'm not 100% sure that it works on all w210, it depends on ignition switch (older w210 used DAS 2 so the ignition switch is different), but it's definitely works for w203 :)
@@ANDERZENAMG Yup, it will allow you to remove the shifter completely. Think of this this way: automatic and manual w203 (or w209, w211, etc) are using the same ignition switch, the only difference is that for automatic cars there is this cable, once you remove it, your ignition switch will behave exactly as on manual car.
Good info. We just purchased a R171 SLK55 and thinking about swapping it soon. I am assuming same parts apply since crossfire/SLK are based on the same chassis. Have you figured a way to reprogram the ECM to get rid of the shifter box?
does the swap also work with the 2005+ E55 AMG W211? i always assumed the crossfire would have a purpose someday again as either a new kit car platform or a parts swap lol.
The transmission bolts up, but no one has tried it as far as i know on a m113k. I want to try it, I want to see how much this transmission can hold. Hehe

I’m definitely gonna join the manual clk mafia.

Cruising rpm is exactly the same as with the automatic as the top gear ratio is identical (0.83:1)

Yup.cake
What about the w211 is there an option for that
@@azargelin I have seen the option on my 04 w211 yes
@@olegloginov6328 thanks for the help
How does the abs and traction control react to the manual?
Cool swap
I want to manual swap my clk55 and drop a m113k in but don’t have the money yet nice work

Will this same swap work on a ml55 ?
You left out the part where you have to put the auto part in gear. In park it has a 4k limit. Or does it work in park?
Anyone ever tried this for RHD models? Any idea if they're the same sort of swap?
What did you do about the input shaft speed sensor?
Simple remove the cable from the ignition switch, it will fix the problem with "stuck" key.
I'd imagine! I need to give it a shot soon
Does that actually work?

Dzmitry Ulasau Gotcha! Thank you, this allows the car to be left in N rather than P correct?

No one has figured it out for the ME2.0 ecu (as far as I know) but it is possible on ME2.8 ecu!
Where are you located bro?
Omg I love this bro

there is a kit from xf motorsport that enables u to bolt a 350z trans
