- I saw something at a recent Lone Star Drift event which I have never seen before, which is AMG Mercedes drift cars. I thought it was super interesting, and I was super busy so this isn't a well thought out video, just something I stumbled upon. But it basically comes down to instructions on how to build an AMG Mercedes drift car for yourself.

The 55's are so underrated! I drive clk55 and they are great! For the money, you can't get anything that has better performance and it's pretty reliable

They've made 1JZ swap kits for the 124 chassis' for years now. That's the route I was going to go years back. :) Great video. Would love to see Mercedes in drifting. The M103/104 are beasts of engines

My dad had a 2001 clk430. It had a OEM limited slip, some insanely expensive coilovers, and some hella sick 3 piece wheels. I loved everything about the car except the lazy ass torque converter automatic transmission. I would have bought it from him if i knew crossfire manual transmissions and pedals bolted in. I bought a brand new yz450f instead. Im balls deep in a pretty unique build right now y'all might like, its a 1995 ford Thunderbird. I built a forged L33 with twin gt45s (not sticking out the hood theyre tucked under the factory hood) all holley management, T56, and believe it or not, they have IRS. which is why i decided to build one. The rear suspension is actually surprisingly good so all im doing is coilovers, subframe connectors, and a spool with 4.11s. The front suspension is sn95. So its getting the wisefab kit. The chassis is on my rotisserie undergoing weight reduction, seam welding, roll cage, subframe connectors, and getting prepped for the kit and 3 piece 20×14s in the back and 19×10s up front. The rears are gonna have 5 inches of lip. Its getting a pandem wide body kit for a e39, roof spoiler for a sc300, '98 cobra front bumper, and the lowest part of the car is gonna be the differential. Everything is getting tucked up and away almost like a tube chassis stock car. My goals are 2800 pounds wet with me in it, safe and clean 800 wheel hp, not excessively loud, comfortable interior with a good stereo, air conditioning. Its gonna be just gloss black on top of black primer and black sealer and ill lay down 8 coats of clear to give it that depth, chrome barrels with gold centers, red highlights and details like calipers, shift boot, stitching on the seats etc. And of course SUPER blacked out windows and lights cuz it looks fuckin tough. Trust me when i say the renderings my little brother and i did on his computer are sooooo boner inspiring. Its gonna be such a mean looking car. Ill let you know when it comes off the rollers maybe you'll fly out to Reno Nevada and see the most badass Tbird in existence, Thor. Get it? THUNDERbird, Thor is the god of thunder, im a total marvel nerd, plus this car is gonna fuck shit up like Thor does.

W210 is amazing, so glad to see them getting some love. I wonder if the M113k supercharger would bolt onto these. Eurocharged and RaceIQ offer tuning options for the W211, so they could probably figure out a tuning solution.
You can actually, but its a bit of work. I might do it down the line, but I'm leaning towards turboing the car.. this is like far future though. Haha

Yea and if it’s a later model, you can slap a supercharger on it from a w211 Or tbh you don’t have to use a 55, easily could use a clk430 or a e430 and have slightly less power

Will the manual transmission on the crossfire fit for a 3.5 V6, I'm currently trying to building a 2007 CLK 350 drift car and would love to manual swap if possible
I'm not 100% but I don't think so. at least not easily. crossfire's are just a chrysler brand c320/c32. which use the m112 v6, your 3.5 is the m272. I would look to see what options they had in Europe. C320 in America didn't have manual option but Europe did. the European trans and the crossfire trans are the NSG370. which also come on v6 wranglers and a few other cars.

Ya, depending on what i hear this might be the route i go. B/c i want that VIP type tight style. I eyed em, but problem is/was trans.
I don't know about those, but my clk chomps on steering pumps, has nothing done to the engine except maintenance
Hello everyone, i'm building clk55 drift car and i need your advices how to make drift steering angle very well and also get advices for coilovers
Im building a c320 for drift.I went with BC coilovers. they work great and they were super easy to install. plus if need be, you can by individual parts for repair or different springs. as for the angle, I have feeling it gonna have to be a custom knuckle. let me know if you find anything out lol.
I got a Rhd 210 wagon up here in Canada , would love to do this swap . I would probably need a pedal solution tho ...

yes. e55 is still m113, just larger bore/stroke. it'll work on the m112 v6 as well. other than the extra 2 cylinders most parts are interchangeable. I have a c320 that I'm running the fuel system and throttle body from an clk500

I thought on buying a e36 (sedan or compact) but went and bought a c230k w202, we compared it to my friends e36 and they all said the merc is way faster and has more stock angle than a e36. South Europe

@@LoneStarDrift Right, my parents of all people put that together for me and i was like oh ya. lol.
This guy doesn't know his shit. There are aftermarket controllers for the 722.6 and you just need to do some wiring to not leave the shifter in there.
Also there are bmw gearbox adapters for the mercedes engines, which all of them basically have the same gearbox flange. Bmw transmission is a much better route to go.
Americans dont know very much about mercedes tuning.
