- After last week’s podcast, we’ve been inundated with suggestions for interesting cars to splice with a Tesla Model 3 floorpan. This week we read out some of the suggestions while also discussing retro vans made by an Austrian pop star, the strange theft of a Ford Flex, Jonny’s thoughts on the Polestar 4, Richard’s brief review of the Volkswagen ID.7, the fate of the Honda e, things that look like the latest Golf, and the uselessness of metal roof cabrios. patreon.com/smithandsniff

The Wheelbase Hour is possibly the most Partridge thing we’ve been obliged to listen to. Love it.
The only reason I'm intrigued by the ID7 is that the original concept/preview car was an estate, which must surely (hopefully) be part of their plan. An electric Citroën Xm would be absolutely stellar!
In my 20 year experience of assisting what I am 99.9% sure are the SAS with our military product, not once has a soldier ever said they were SAS. However, they frequently refer to coming from or going back to "Hereford". In conversation they are a breed apart too, asking excellent and succinct questions and having a great knack of ignoring any superfluous questions from me!
I literally want half a day of wheelbase chat.
Stephen Fry as Kingdom drove a sky blue Alvis.
The Honda E is a sweet, sweet car one cannot drive far.
I vote Citroen XM, that would be so cool
*If you want to go down the Alvis route, I did a video recently visiting a gent with an astonishing collection of Alvises up for grabs*
Sure I can remember on Weymouth seafront in the 1960's there was a MGB convertible as a police car?
As soon as Rich mentioned Coors in Cars, I got excited about the Girls on Tour rendition ‘Twats in Pubs’ - hoping it ends up being an outro to a Pod one day 🙏🏼
I'm sorry, i know this is a bit off-topic but has anybody noticed how Chris Goffey pronounced the word 'electronic' back in the old Top Gear tests of the 80 and 90s?
He seemed to unnecessarily stretch the 'E' at the beginning of the word 'electronic'.
For example: 'I don't like the digital, eeeeeeeeeelectronic dash board of the ( Fiat) Tempra, i much rather prefer the analog dials of the base version'.
That Honda re-bodied Tesla is competing in Sick Week (drag & drive) this week
I'm suprised people aren't body swapping old Mercedes Benz under Teslas when the battery pack gives out haha
I looked. Model S and w126 300se fit
W123 280se probably fits a model3
I've heard the issue with ID7 is efficiency, still not matching the Telsa's on that front.
Ford Flex. Body swap a Flex onto a Tezzla.
I drive a Flex, love it. Hate the gas mileage.
Or maybe a Dodge Magnum. I have my old Magnum, saving it for my daughter and id love to E swap it.
Cheersmate thanksmate bye
I'm just going to go out and lower the air suspension on the Discovery3 to access height. I'll squint at it a bit and let you know if I think it looks like a Fou'ard Flex. I don't think the roof line works. But surely, apart from the wheelbase, don't you need to know the track width?
Is this Lexus a lost Corrs ?
Lexus Ls400 won't work cause 1UZFE just won't die
Thoughts on the Roadhouse remake?
"Three ladies one man!" ahem.
My word all wheelbase.
PIMF
G'day! 😝
Still waiting for the b roll of the dog shite moonwalk.
