There are moments we all need some travel inspiration ........thank you so much for this inspiration that you offer us through your amazing travels videos!!!!
Ron / Janis, just finished your video, very nice tool. I checked the price and Dual Electronics is offering the two units (XHUD1000 and XGPS190) for $1199.99. Maybe if the price comes down but right now its not in the budget. Still it is a very nice tool to have in the cockpit. Take care guys
If you watch this video closely and answer the questions, you will be entered in a drawing for the unit we used in making this video for free! Also, look in the description Dual Electronics is offering a Promotion discount with our video for $799 for both units, a $400 savings if you use the Code "P4TC/HUD" on their website during checkout: PROMO: Use Discount Code; P4TC/HUD for both; XHUD1000 + XGPS190 Combo (valid thru April 2021) * Promo price for both units is $799.99 * Normal retail price for both units is $1199.99
Nice review! Been flying with ours for about 2 years now. With two, the pilot not flying pulls up the traffic page. Glad Irfan was able to get you a unit to try!
I’m not a pilot but this thing looked so cool. Felt like it was something out of a James Bond movie. Makes sense why there is no battery. I can totally see more companies working with you to show case their arial products. Who better than you guys!!!
I remember meeting you for the first time when I flew to see you 1973 bellanca super Viking and having trouble when doing a flyover at 1k1. I think I even loaded a video of that 😉
I love Dual products. I have a Dual 160 and it is spot on. I have flown with it all over and can't say enough how good it is. One thing I love as soon as I turn on my tablet it automatically connects and using the app to see everything is easy.
@@Parr4theCourse I agree , their stuff is top notch. A friend of mine that fly's with me has 16,000 hours flying time, commercial pilot. He flew with me in my plane (1958 C172) and he was impressed with Dual that I have and even said he was going to get one to put in the plane that he flies, (Cessna 441) that right there tells you how good their products are!
Great to hear you like using the 160. This model worked perfectly - I can see someone really enjoying it if all you have are steam gauges. And even with a glass panel it’s nice to have the info right in front of you.
Electronics are so awesome! Totally not a pilot ( it is a goal), but to have a display that you can quickly reference ( the traffic etc) is awesome... especially not having to look down! If they could make it have a dual version ( battery and cord option) that seems to be a good option! Great review and very cool that you guys are giving it away to someone who can make use of it 👏👏👍 See y'all in the next one! - Ashley from Adventure Encounters
Thanks for sharing Janis/Ron...it is a very interesting piece of equipment. I did look at their website & watched the little video. I would think I would have to get use to it being on my glare shield but I agree the traffic seems to be the most beneficial & I would prefer the hanging option vs sitting on the glare shield. Just my preference. By the way a nice landing at the end. Well I'm sorry Janis/Ron, I guess I won't win the contest, I didn't understand the question!! :-) Don/NE Ohio
You have to watch very closely, for clues to the questions . . . Thanks, I need to get more consistent with landings, as its the ONLY thing in which pilots are judged - HA!
my brother has that in his piper malibu . I like it but had to search a lot at first , after getting use to it i am sure it is exceptional! (My brother says he would crash without it)
I drive a car with a HUD, it takes a little getting used to, but you see through it sort of like a lightly tinted visor, the screen/combiner flips down if you want to during final.
It was HOT to the touch but still functioned fine, that may be a question better asked by the manufacture though, I hate to misrepresent anything . . .
I understand why this isn't possible without going down a different regulatory path, but: I'd buy this in a hot second for my Comanche if I could hook it into my avionics and get magnetic heading, indicated airspeed and real AHRS from my G5s. If we're getting that info we might as well grab course and waypoint info as well. Can't blame me for dreaming.
Yea they’re out there but they’re bulky and around $30k too, I liked the traffic the best, but I fly with a G1000. Watch closely for the questions and email the answers and you could get this one for free!!!

@@robertklump9993 You could offset it some if you prefer, but its best to be in front of your line of sight and its a true HUD so you do "SEE" through it. It was a fun video to shoot, with a G1000 I find the traffic the most useful.
It is a nice unit - glad you’re enjoying yours!
It was a little bumpy, but if you can see it as the pilot then it works! Cool that they sent it to you to try it out!
It was fun playing with it!!
It’s a really nice device for us to get the opportunity to give away!
Thank you for the video and I love the shoulder harnesse use!

That's super cool! 👍👍👍 Neat you can put the traffic on there. 💪 Do you think it'll work well on top of my drone? 🤣 Nice review and flight.
Ha, but you'll want it at the control station for it to work LOL
😂 As big as some drones are...
Seems to have a u-v filter which would come in real handy when the sun is glaring your vision.
I can’t say with 100% certainty, but flying around with it I didn’t notice any issues with the sun and we flew multiple directions…..
That 100 mile ring will be handy in my F-18 Super Hornet
HA, HA, HA . . . .True Dat!!!

Great to hear, just like the HUD on our car, at first I wasn't sure about it, now I rely on it!
Love that you can have the info right there without having to look at an iPad or down at the gauges.
First! Great review guys, thanks. I "don't" got it cause of contest location restrictions 🤬, expect a nasty letter from my lawyer hehehehe
