I have watched a 1/2 dozen of these and so far you have done the best job showing where the mounting places and what you need to unhook. I am surprised that no one has replaced the heater core and the blower resistor....
Great Video both Part 1 and Part 2 very very complete - Been chasing a leak my self and have been very hesitant to do the evap core - These videos provide very detailed section that will reduce the head scratching Thank you
@@lucab69 the actual problem was the compressor. The shaft was broken behind the clutch. The shop I took it to diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They said it was both when it was actually just the compressor. I think they wanted money to not take out the dash.
@@builditgarage ah, well at least now you’ve got a nice clean evap core in there! Thanks for the quick responses and these vids are going to help me out big time doing this job! Appreciate it
Great video sir thanks. Soap and water could of helped when you were pressurizing the core. My dad 2012 f250 is leaking from the core. We noticed the oil and dye dripping out from the core drain hose at the firewall. Anyways this helps us a lot. Thanks again!

Replacing the heater core probably would have been a good idea while I was in there. Glad I could help

Welcome
Was he smelling refrigerant in the cab? Mine just began smelling at 40k miles. Not wanting to do this job haha
Nope I didn't smell anything. My wife always got a headache riding in the truck for long distance but there wasn't a smell of AC refrigerant
@@builditgarage okay gotcha. Did you decide to replace the compressor just because? Or are both components supposed to be replaced at the same time?
