This is exact same thing that is starting to happen to my bike too. Two things that came to mind: - To reach behind and front at the same time, a cotton ribbon of some kind will work. What you do is a single loop and then do the tug n pull. It does not cover a wide area but will cover the full circumference. - when you showed the picture of the sponge, that was more applicable to dish washing. Issue is that in RUclips, some wise guy is going to use that scratchy side to scrub. Of course that will more than just polish the header, lol. on that note I'm glad you mentioned to let the bike cool off before working on it. Someone may put the paste on the hot surface and then complain about the mess. Good stuff mate. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comment and advise on the cotton ribbon probably better than using the cloth and on the sponge yea I noticed it now. The sponge I used was soft without the scouring part. I will need to polish it again soon as the discoloration has started to show.

I prefer the look of this exhaust than the CB1000R. I also like the "blocky" look on the sides more. Reminds me of a super futuristic lazers or missile battery. I want a 1000 that LOOKS like the 650.

Hehe yes unfortunately there’s a lot of polishing to do. It did take a while, it was hot and was sweating profusely hence I was complaining. I cut out the original audio lol. Thanks for the comment btw.

yup an issue with any stainless steel pipes. This will come back to haunt again and very fast.
