There should be more people who analise those two machines like you do. Remember the old Ender 3 printers, they got better only after the users started complaining about them. I hope to see more mods for these two printers.
Fair warning BL has hinted that they may block the way that devices like the Panda touch work in the future and eventually longer term make an API available. It's in the details on the Panda Touch product page but want to make sure folks read and make a decision before hitting the buy button, as its possible the device will stop working in the future.
Many users had to replace the whole bed coz of sensor problem. I almost had to do the same, the connector was full of glue and removing all the glue from the connector solved my problem. I don't know why the use of so much glue. It is fair to say I no longer have it.
Self tapping... meh :( Yeah I know they "usually" stay in place untouched for the whole life of the printer but meh... why? plastic may become brittle after a few years and when one need to undo the screws end up having a nice pile of crumbled mess...
@@Shadow_Steve Ender 3s aren't about wants or needs, they just are. You will just go about your day and suddenly a $99 Microcenter Ender 3 special will pop up on your desk. They are ubiquitous and it is impossible for anyone with any interest in 3D printers to not eventually end up with one. They've been modified with Core X-Y conversions, have broken Benchy speed records, been outfitted with thousand degree metal 3DP hotends. One day the world will end, and the only things that remain will be cockroaches and Ender 3s.
A little mount that pops out and drops down (like the 1990s carstereo head units) or rotates out (like the fancy cabinets mechanisms) might allow you to keep p1p where it is. If nothing around design something in fusion and do a crude tutorial (I have a need so I made it by fumbling through fusion style video)…
My x1c has been having a very similar issue where it won't home. I can manually jog it up and crash the nozzle into the bed, but it refuses to home. Maybe this is the issue.
😅Nero you could have cleaned that rear lead screw & rod while you had the panel off. It's my one pet peeve to clean them assembled I always fear squishing my fingers when doing that maintenance step.
Hey, love your 3D printer content, I am building a SW as we speak. I have a question , I thought I read , or saw in video (maybe one of yours?) that Bambu used a Voron 1.? as design inspiration . Is there any truth to this?
Good video. I have both printers and luckily I have problems that require the dissemble you had. I have lost many screws in the back hole when taking the nozzle out for jams. I wish I had purchases two X1 Carbons instead of P1P., a lot of parts are different between the two, especially the hot end. I have to stock parts for both
After seeing how the Bambu is built I'm liking my QIDI X-Plus 3. Although I am considering a Bambu Lab now for the AMS system. I just want to load 4 rolls and have it keep printing the things I sell. My QIDI though has been awesome so far too and I think it has better printing specs than Bambu for more technical filaments that I want to use for some things.
Yep, because because I was pointing out the bad design and that they are a pain to remove normally, instead of disconnecting them from the back of the machine before taking it off the shelf, i have to get my step ladder and climp up top my shelf and disconnect the AMS itself first, then pull the printer off the shelf. Just because its a situational thing, doesnt make it ok to design the plug backwards
ye i should probably have written i agreed its a pretty dumb that it is needed to be done that way anyway good video ill be tuning in next stream hopefully @@CanuckCreator
Screw cleaning the back panel area out. Why not clean the front part of your printer? Man, show that printer a little love here and there. Its disgusting......

OK to fix a X1C you have to downgrade it to P1P first.

I wonder why all these Core XY printer have so many screws. Maybe the manufacturers should take a cue from screwless computer cases.
Those back shot camera work though.....
One shouldn't dress like his identical twin for a video. It's really confusing!
Wow. Lot of work for something that should have been simple... Yeah no thanks

Damn If you want to do a simple fix you better have a weekend of freetime.
I have an intense dislike for the glue used to hold connectors into place. A fan on my Neptune 4 Pro seized due to glue dripping onto it.
Disassembly is the reverse of assembly.
The time you spent changing this bed you could've assembled two or three ender 3 pros.
yeah but who wants an ender 3?
tru tru
You do realize that Bambu's don't require assembly right? Weird comment comparing repairing something to assembly they're not the same thing.

@@PLr1c3r That's the joke. It takes so long to repair you could have assembled fresh 3D printers in the same space of time.

theres a hole in the back bracket to hold the bed wires nowadays.

How long did it take you to replace the bed wire? Estimated time to change it if you weren't filming content?
i mean, i was filming and what not so theres added time, but all in around 1.5 hours total ish
I've put some spiral PVC sleeving on my bed cable, so it doesn't mind occasional rub by the lead screw
Am I seeing doubles in here? It's too early for my booze...
Nice video btw
Ok, I love my voron
you should be able to control the X1 from the panda touch too, I wonder if that still works with x1plus firmware

Even the xtouch was so worth the $10 upgrade. Not sure I'd spend much more for something I can control via other devices.

I just use old phones dedicated to each P1P as a ui 😂
Bambu's AMS is the only reason I'd consider them. Maybe if they ever release it to the Voron community like their CEO suggested they could
I did a partial P1P to P1S upgrade and although it's not nice to work on the instructions are easy to follow and the parts are cheap and in stock.
Woah, double Nero!
theres actually 3 of us

Taking notes for my own x1c teardown. Going to be replacing the XY motors and belt..
Where do I get LDO premium build plate from for my Bambu lab
Not sure if its available through their resellers but it was given to me by LDO directly
Complaining about the connector clips on the buffer being the the rear, then removes buffer anyways ;)
just hope you don't need to replace the LIDAR camera and cables when it fails.
oh if that module fails its not that big a deal, since i never use it anyways lol
👍
i personally just skipped the part of the ground wire and used a wago so i didten have to take the panel off saved me like 30 mins :P
