Go watch the GTR use its lauch control and you'll see why it's an auto. The computers control everything down to the t, giving you perfect, consistent launches.

First of all, this is a japanese car that ISN'T available with a manual transmission. Second of all, nowaday super cars aren't offered in manual versions simply because the performances on the tip tronic are just better. So if you're going to post ignorant pejoratives remarks, at least inform yourself.

Wow the interior is just aweful! this is probably the worst interior ive seen in a super car. This even looks worse than the dodge interiors!
Probably the only problem that I have with asian manufacturers, they are not on the same level as e.g. european sportscars, atleast when it comes to interior!
hang on...... you really think supercars are supposed to have nice interiors? a nice interior is a luxury but not mandatory for a super car. Take a look at the Mclaren F1 or the Enzo Ferrari, two of the most legendary supercars of all time and they don't even have stereos or power windows.
Dave- O Not supposed to, but I prefer the interior of e.g. a Porsche Turbo over the Nissan GTR, starting from materials, going to overall build quality :) It only makes sense to get loose of some interior weight if you are going for lap times / races, but I think it's a bit "too much" if you choose a lightweight interior for everyday use.

gattis45 Yeah, I'm still not sure if you guys understand, gtr's do not come manual, there is no such thing as a gtr with a clutch pedal, as to why I'm confused why you guys are surprised by the fact that this is automatic. Though, you guys may be just saying you wish it came manual, but my interpritation was otherwise (but if that's the case, I'm sorry and I'm wrong!)
ZoHBo I would be more of a fan if it had a manual transmission (just to clear that up). It's still a beautiful car, but if it were my money, the GTR wouldn't be at the top of my list.

The GT-R actually became known as Godzilla back in the 80s if I recall the dates correctly. The R32 decimated all other competition in Japan and Australia, and fans gave it that name. People still call it Godzilla, but let's not forget the roots of the name now.
