Fighting Street is a port of the classic fighting game Street Fighter for the PC Engine CD/TurboGrafx-CD. It is a generally faithful port of the arcade original with a few tiny differences in the gameplay mechanics. The minigames are retained and all ten opponents are available to fight. As with many games at the time that used CD technology, the large amount of disc space is filled with CD-quality song recordings and soundbites that wouldn't fit in a standard cartridge.
Darkman425 ( tasvideos.org/... ) in this run Shoryukens his way through the entire English-narrated globetrotting fight journey in record time.

Managing to pull off Hadoukens, Shoryukens, and hurricane kicks in a tool-assisted video of the original Street Fighter is a feat unto itself!
Ya those inputs never worked
That's the point of a TAS
@@MiTBender That went right over your head. lol
its wild because the average player thinking this is easy has no idea how freaking insane it was to enter these commands. I maybe gotten one of them right at a friends house, after hours of attempts.
@@TKUltra971 In my experience, I've always felt that inputting the commands via negative edge (hold punch/kick button, input the motion, then release the button) increased the likelihood of pulling off a hadouken/shoryuken/tatsu.
Attempting to input commands the way we're used to doing in Street Fighter II and onwards is just an exercise in futility. lol
1:21 "OK UwfgJ to GEbgwert bE AlL Ova tHe WaalD"
14:11 How Sagat got his scars.
Who else appreciated the soundtrack that was arranged here by Shofuku?
Oh yeah, I appreciate the 3-4 second tunes. So catchy.
Jokes aside, I am curious to hear what the full tracks will sound like. PC Engine CD love to go the extra distance with music.
@1:20 ua ua ua ua ua ua ua ua ua ua uaua lol
Let's hear it for Retsu, Geki, Joe, and Lee. Your spirts will only live in this game
Ah yes, the port where they flipped the game title.
Also nice to see Lee and Gen bite the dust that fast, they were very hard for me in the Arcade version.
I truly appreciated that you ended canonically with Ryu placing the scar on Sagat with the uppercut that ended the fight. Brilliant touch.
If people were able to play this game like a TAS back then, the CD audio would not be so impressive for playing for all of 3 seconds per rounds.
I know that’s right.
I love the sound effect for the opponents hitting the floor. No wonder they went down so quickly; they're made of jelly!
Huh. This is the first time I'm seeing and hearing _Fighting Street,_ and man… This is a *crazy*-faithful port of the game! It's like they just slapped the arcade ROM onto a CD and gave it an amazing soundtrack of remixes. I'm genuinely impressed!
Oh, and the TAS is pretty good, too. (;
This game deserves a PROPER remake, note zero/alpha but a cp2 graphics and all playable caracters. Better inputs of course
What strength! But don't forget there are many TASers like you, aww over de world
0:25 we won’t even get to hear this beautiful 80s arranged tune. LOL
15:03 here we go with that beautiful 80s sounding music.
Man, more power to the person who created this TAS. Even with bad games, TAS videos are still usually really entertaining because you get to see the game being played in a broken way; however, there’s practically no game to be played here.
This whole games voice lines sound like the teachers from charlie brown
While it is true that the game characters are fighting, I find it grossly misleading that the title claims that the fights take place on a single street.
O-------u righ !!
I feel bad for geki.
He's thinking he's the best ninja so he comes out of the shadow, just once, to prove it.
In 20 seconds he gets his ass handed to him by some scrawny dork in ruby red slippers.
That hit him so hard he never appeared again.
I bet Ryu, all these years later with becoming evil and fighting for gems and whatnot, doesn't even remember this ninja fight existed.
Pour one out for Geki, all.
Before Retsu Kaioh grew his hair out and really started training
Fighter: But don't forge-
Ryu and Ken: WE DON'T CARE!
Love how it plays CD quality music before pumping out that crunchy post-round speech.
I remember playing this at the local 7-11 almost 40 years ago.
Back then no one knew what triggered special moves because joystick/button combinations was a foreign concept.
it doesn't matter if you knew them or not, good luck performing them in this game
Michael!
Is "Boxer" in Street Fighter II meant to be the same character as "Mike"?
Wdym?
@@retneychozken Well, in the Japanese version of Street Fighter II, the boxer's name is M. Bison, with "M." standing for "Mike", I believe.
@@Ironicicle1990 Boxer is white though.
Yes, that is Boxer, Mike Bison.
@@retneychozkenin Japanese version, the boxer character is named M. Bison which is a reference to Mike Tyson. out of fear of a lawsuit from Mike himself, Capcom shuffled the names of the villains on the US version, so he's now known as Balrog there. to avoid confusion, fans gave the villains generic names; Boxer, Claw, and Dictator.
The voice sounds like a Japanese Sylvester Stallone.
Not many people know Ryu enjoys fighting in women's shoes.

Ooooooright!!!
14:12 aaaaaaaah.
Fighto!!
Oh rie
Three-punch man
Everyone KO'd in 3 hits or less. Looks like a bootleg
Actually that was legit how much damage was done with special moves in SF 1, arcade and TGCD.
Believe it or not, that's how glass-cannony SF1 was. I'm surprised Hudson and Capcom even thought that would play well.
This is exacly how Street Fighter 1 is
Nice video
Also know as Street Fighter in the arcades
