I went on Sunday and was so bummed when I saw it all melted away 😞 I’m just glad I did make it up there with the fam in February and had a great time playing in the snow.
7:33 those ruts are no joke! I came out of them about a month ago and slammed down on a huge rock that dented the hell out of my front skid. Skid got replaced last weekend! 😂
I was at coldwater this last sunday and the ruts are even worse. a lot of people were turning around cause they couldn't make it. you almost have to have lockers.
Hello Dex 👋 Love the Rubicon 👍👍. Wife and I love the channel and cool that you do lots of local stuff. We've never done Lytle Creek and want to go in the next 3-4 weeks. We are solo, but, have all the necessary recovery gear. We have a 2018 JKU, 3.5" lift on 37's......however we do NOT have lockers yet. Looks like 3N06 is doable, but from your vids it lools like 3N06A is pretty rutted? Your opinion on if should attempt without lockers? Thanks on advance! Jim S.
Hi Jim, Coldwater Canyon 3N06 is pretty rutted out but you don't need lockers. You just need to pick the right line and you'll be good. If you can disconnect your sway bar that will help you out a lot with traction when you flex. If it all fails, you can always use your winch. The trail has plenty of trees.
Perfect!! We air down and disconnect on everything 👍👍. We'll give it shot. We're just doing a day trip on June 22nd if you're interested in joining? 👍👍. Be safe and thanks again.
I see on OnX there is a turnout just up Lone Pine road right off the 138. Thinking I could crash there for a 6 to 8hours of sleep without having to drive all the way back to Lylte Creek yellow post sites. I know it would be close to the highway, but for some quick sleep...Thoughts?
Yes, you can take Sharpless Ranch Trial (3n29) or Upper Lytle Creek Divide Trail (3N31Y) from Lone pine Road into Lytle. you shouldn't have a problem if you find a spot to crash out for a few hours.
Lytle Creek ❤

Be safe tho lots of tweakers
@@egld2020 the tweeters don't go that far in. They mostly stay near the entrance
@@egld2020 Always aware.👍 thanks
Tweakers are mostly on the other side of Sheep Canyon next to the 15. There are lots of little car sized pullouts that they pull into
And just like that, all is gone.. 🤦♂️
yeah pretty much
