Great video. I was there this past SAT/SUN. May 2022, either the trail got worse or you missed recording the harder parts near the top. There was 2+ foot boulders and holes. First time with my built Rubicon so I was able to make it without issues.
I think you are right when you say the hardest part is the steepness and the loose rocks. The trail also has some spots where you need to bump and it's very difficult to get the momentum. Great job as a crew getting you all up there and great video. Oh and there is nothing wrong with getting pulled, it happens to everyone
Thanks David, yea, I push this thing for sure. Have you gotten stuck with the sport 4x4 anytime? Im leaning twrds the sport 4x4 and add a locker once I go a bit more complicated trails.
The good thing about aftermarket locker is that u can engage at any time. In the stock locker you can only engage while it’s in 4lo. So I think that’s the upside to aftermarket . It’s that you can engage while in 2wd 4hi or 4lo
I know...currently researching and calling all type of dealership around our areas. The color and trim that we're looking for is such a unicorn haha...hopefully the market will be better in a few months?
just did this trail in my stock 5th Gen 4Runner, at times I didn’t think I would make it up cause of not having enough clearance, my stock skid plate got a bit dented on the way down
Your Tacoma is beast! I told my brother-in-law to subscribe to your channel he has a 2WD Taco as well. Thanks for info on this area. Do you think a Bone Stock Gladiator Sport can make it here?
Thank you...is the Gladiator 4x4? Most all of the trails you see on my channel...any 4x4 with a bit of clearance and picking the right line can do. Im not into rock crawling as much so most trails are for sceneries
Nice...im in an off road FB group and they frequently do trails together. Those guys are way more knowledgeable than me too. It will be good to go with them too.
Can someone explain what 3n06 means...i understand thats the trail...but are the numbers like a rating of difficulty or just random numbers given to the trails
It's just the trail name and marker...has nothing to do with the ratings. Usually you will see marking like green, blue, red and black diamond on trails.
Oh yea, would've been much easier, however I think it's the overall crowded trail that made it hard. People coming down while you're trying to get momentum can be hard.
It's not actually a campground...it's more of a dispersed camping. If theres an empty yellow post sign, technically you can camp there, so it's all along the trail. But if you do both trails, you're looking at roughly 5-10 miles
@@meateaterwhitetail7291 I had to be pull 3 times lol...after the river crossing it's difficult for 2wd...very steep and narrow. hard with people coming down and you have to stop, any momentum you will lose

Nice people
Very educated, nice to hang out 👍
it’s good to see 2wd do these trails..and you’re having fun! keep it up!😎👍
Thanks man, yea, I've definitely push this rig to it max from time to time, not looking forward to one day it breaking down on me haha

From what I see...seems like the trail has definitely gotten more rutted especially towards the end
2wd can pretty much do anything 4wd can (except snow/mud), just gotta hit it a little faster. Send it bro 🤙🏻
I agree
lol pretty much anything (except “snow/mud/sand/ rocky/ ) and so on, but sure almost anything
@@aidenceja8755 why gotta be negative
Yup...that FX4 Ranger.....I have a white one but that there in your vlog....Nice Color!
I agree, that color is similar to the Lunar rock on the TRD pro..love it.
Had a good time out there 🤙🏼 thanks for setting up a fun trip
Dude, your Tacoma was beasting it, glad everyone had fun. Definitely coming back when I get a 4x4

Thanks bro...that was definitely gnarly for 2WD
One of my favorites! Looks like you had a great time Michael !
I can see why, tons of places to explore. Yea we had a great time, cool people awesome trail.
Great information!!! Thank you for this video
You're welcome...hopefully it was helpful.
That Ranger 😍
I love that color on the Ranger!
I love that ranger wow 😍
Whoo, these thumbnails get better and better every time!
Haha...learning this YT thing.
Nice video! Great to see you push that 2wd. I want to add a locker to my sport 4x4

@@davidleanos8978 I didn't know that...that definitely help making the decision on the next rig
2wd with good tires make a huge difference
I agree, first thing I did was replace the stock tires
great vid. I air down my 2wd sprinter to 18psi and it does pretty well out there.
Definitely need to air down in this area...especially at the cold water canyon section
Micheal love your videos and trips but you need to get a 4x4 already! 3rd Gen 4Runner or a Taco, Let’s Go!
I know...currently researching and calling all type of dealership around our areas. The color and trim that we're looking for is such a unicorn haha...hopefully the market will be better in a few months?
Nice bro you did it!!
Can you post the cords for the start, middle and end of the trail?? This will be my first time heading that way. Please and thank you!!!!
just did this trail in my stock 5th Gen 4Runner, at times I didn’t think I would make it up cause of not having enough clearance, my stock skid plate got a bit dented on the way down
Yea, my heart was racing knowing that my differential was scraping, definitely clearance is a must here.
Crazy how much a locker would help a 2WD.
I know right, a locker would help for sure.
Truth!
Yep ruclips.net/video/bdkKRY4uFF0/видео.html
Great video man I use to go there a lot lol 🤙🔥 get a rear locker dude it’ll help a lot it use to save me a lot in my 2wd
Yea, it's such a fun trail. Im planning on getting a 4x4 the end of the year, so not putting more money on the Taco for now haha
I agree! The locker is KEY! ruclips.net/video/bdkKRY4uFF0/видео.html
Great video thanks!
Thank you

When I first started offroading I took my 2wd tacoma here and got stuck lmao
It’s all part of the fun!
I can see why, it's so rutted here
Great trail
Does it require a camping permit to camp overnight? If necessary where could I get one?
I don't think so...but not sure, as long as you're camping with the yellow post sign I heard its ok.
Don’t got a Tacoma myself..but we’re rockin a ‘19 wk2. Possible to join you on future runs?
Nice...im in an off road FB group and they frequently do trails together. Those guys are way more knowledgeable than me too. It will be good to go with them too.
Do you use ECT and LSD? I know that makes a big difference. Maybe choosing better lines too😅😅
Both was one, didn't help with these steep section. Honestly not a lot of different lines to take here, very narrow twrds the end.

@@Michael_Tran oh ok thank u...
Any trail near L.A. that you can recommend for beginners with 2wd truck
I would say Del Sur Ridge, only one I've been to in LA area
Did this in a WK2 grand cherokee no problem
You think it would have been easier if you had rear lockers?
Oh yea, would've been much easier, however I think it's the overall crowded trail that made it hard. People coming down while you're trying to get momentum can be hard.
how to book that camp site or is it first come first serve ?
it's first come first serve
I'm a new subscriber , question how long I'd the trail start to finish (camp ground)

I heard cold water canyon been graded and now it's easier than before

stock spindle but Hamburg ucas.
