3 Easy Off-Roading Trail in So-Cal Desert - Painted Canyon | Godwin Trail | Meccacopia Trail

Today we went out to the desert near Joshua Tree National Park to explore 3 easy off roading trails. We started with Painted Canyon which was easy 2WD friendly trail. From there we went to do the Godwin Jeep Trail and connected to the Meccacopia Jeep Trail.
All these trails were pretty easy with Godwin Jeep Trail being the harder of the 3. However I did do all of them in 2WD but I don't recommend going by yourself if you have 2WD..there's a few rutted and sandy areas that you can get stuck.

Beautiful drone work. I want one. Really pretty area with awesome rock formations. I really dig those canyon walls. Quad Air Drone is under a hundred and does follow technology and pretty good charge time. I'm looking at that one

Im a local and i used to go there a lot. Even did it at night with a group of friends. 2wd can make it if you know what u doing. Just make sure dont go alone.

Yea we were pretty much by ourselves the last 2 trails...no one in sight haha...when we go camping theres camping gear in those bins but at the moment just a few work stuff

That jeep trail was really rutted last November. After the rains i got stuck.
I made it in my 07 maxima 3 years ago got stuck in aand at one point following google maps just stay on the flat ground to the right. Also saw a prius and civic. 350z also
What mapping software were you using?
A few different ones to see every pics if possible...but all trail, google map, onx off road and gaiagps

Im in Orange County...there's tons of easy trail in SoCal and there are off roading groups that does trail runs if you're interested
You think a 2wd can make these trials? I have good ground clearance and have done bee canyon 4 times no problem
I did everything in 2WD that day...didn't turn on 4x4. However there's a few loose sandy in the wash...so if you go alone I suggest some recover gear and a shovel just in case. But the route I took you'll be going down most of the time so 2WD will be fine.

The first trail should be fine...the other one I'm not sure about but I've seen a Cross trek done it but I don't know about tires and lift on that cross trek

Love your videos. Trying to convince the wife to try off-roading. With no bathrooms, how does your wife “take care of business “?
You can setup a portable bathroom very easily. Buy a popup privacy tent (like $40 on amazon), but a foldable toilet chair (another $40), buy special toilet bags with a degradable gel. For like $120 you have a foldable portable setup.
There is a restroom at painted canyon...but typically we carry TP and trash bag.

last year two of my good females friends went on that trail. their 4x4 got a flat, so they had to stop & fix it. two mtn men came out of nowhere and grabbed both girls. they raped them both for about 8 hrs then let them go - true story!
when you are out in the boonies, always carry a gun.
What do you use to get all the grime/salt off your paint after a mountain/snow run?
Normally I power wash everything off before cleaning it really good...sometime we've even done it mid trip if we hit a lot of mud or salt from snow.
