- Finally! We have snow in the mountains! Snow wheeling is a pretty big deal here in the Pacific Northwest. We really only get a few months out of the year when we have access to the good stuff. If the snow is to wet it sucks so its only during the coldest months that we get the best snow for wheeling. In this video we find some pretty deep snow! This is only my second adventure video on the channel so I hope guys enjoy it! Let it snow.

#snow #4x4 #snowwheeling
Definitely more PNW wheeling, I was born and raised up there and after 40yrs of it, decided to head for sunnier territory, about 40mins from the Rubicon and an hour to Fordyce Creek. The 9 months of overcast and rain were tough on my personality, but I love watching your trips into Elbe, brings back great memories getting stuck up there, fishing in Alder, and exploring the old logging roads.
More adventures, please...getting out is a huge part part of the lifestyle 👍
Love the snow, lets see more.
More of "the adventure stuff", Nate! LoL 😂. I really enjoy these kinds of videos since I'm local to the area. It gives me ideas of places I can go wheel, plus we get to watch you and your buds having a good Ol' time.
Great job. Content, editing, audio, everything. Loved it, thank you.
Kind of brings me back, I grew up in Gig Harbor. Couldn't wait to leave...
Awesome video! Love watching you put the TJ to work!
Thanks buddy!
Dude you have to do more wheelin videos!! They are always so much fun!!!
More!!! Great quality and content, we like shenanigans
Now that's my kind of wheeling 👍
Your right that mud terrains don't make the best snow tires. That's why I always run tire chains when the snow gets that deep and we get a lot of it in northern BC. Keep up the good work love your channel
I love how you edit man. Great stuff. I like your garage content more, but I'll definitely watch this too. Nice work.
Thanks buddy 👍
Definitely more stuff like that
Adventures the fruits of your labor, definitely good video I'm up for more
I have to live vicariously through you because I live in New York where places to go Jeeping legally are almost non existent. I'd join you in Moab but the lift kit for my Toyota Sienna won't be in on time.
I really like the adventure vids and those beauty shots are A-1 .
MORE SNOW, MORE SNOW, MORE SNOW !
All your videos are great. Keep them all coming. :)
Awesome video! Definitely more please.
crazy!!!! black exhaust!!
You didn't even hit the snow wall we left for you guys... it was around the lazy corner going up to high rock. it was over 10' when we stopped
Yeah! More snow videos!
It hurts my heart every time I see Franz's truck, looks so much like my first truck.
Awesome video Nate as always! Nice to see you out wheeling! I’m super jealous of the snow wheeling! We just have rain wheeling here lol! Cool to see Kelley out with you also.
More adventure vids. Not onLy is it cool to watch. But it gives legitimacy to the stuff you build. We get to see, that the stuff you build works. That helps us believe in the tricks and tips you give us. 👍
Looks like fun
You can't park there pal! Franz is awesome, love his Toyota. I'm a Toyota guy so a little partial.
More adventures stuff !
Really miss that kind of snow wheeling! Moved down to SoCal from Lake Stevens last year.
Loved this video! Good commentary and action (great editing). I would love to see how some of the mods and fabs you make transpire out on the trail. Keep up the great work!
This was awesome! We haven't had any substantial snowfall in Ohio since November.
Great video Nate. I love this kind of content. It makes me want to get out there. 👍🏽
Jealous, we dont get any snow in Missouri really. We have to go up to Michigan to get into any fun snow. Looks fun, enjoy!
I'm down for more exploring videos 🤙
Love your videos man love the jeeps and land rover
Love this content. Lotsa snow wheeling here in Wyoming; it's easy on everything except your engine! I threw a rod just after christmas in the snow...
Hope to see more wheeling videos soon!
Thanks man! Your absolutely right! The drivetrain gets to take a day off... except the motor! Sorry for your bad luck brother. We have all been there
I agree alot more videos like this
It looks like my driveway, my canam xt1000 commander with tracks works when i dont break the plow.
More adventure stuff
Nate, can you do a video on regearing, and setting the lash ina axle? I love your technical content and would love a DIY guide to regearing correctly. I am currently building my TJ and have been avidly watching your videos so I can engine swap and stretch my jeep, but I need to upgrade from my dana 30 front axle to run the size wheels I want.
I'll throw it on the list!
I have 2 or 3 videos on setting up axle gears, Dana 30 and Ford 9”. Ultimate Dana 30! Episode 2 Yukon 4.88 gears and Zip Locker Install ruclips.net/video/HcuLNlkoclc/видео.html
Nate your the man! If I ever finish my jeep I will need to catch you at a event.
Great video!
Cool vid,keep em coming
I wished it snowed more in florida
Yup! I also wish it isn't the most flat state in the country
Tom D there’s some big hills in central Florida. And if you’ve ever been on state road 41 north of Gibsonton then you’ve seen the big Florida mountains
No... you don't
@@kennethstephens8046 those aren't big hills.
@Swampy
Okay.....it's still the flattest state
That Yankum Rope you offer would have helped Big-Time... they just dont know !!! :] ]
Absolutely!
More please
Great video!!! I hope one day I yj will look like that.... (87) some what.. ots my every day driver so.... but man, super cool and sweet!
Love the trail videos. And BTW... get a razor with tracks. 😳
Lol I want one!
That’s awesome. Cool video
Get some arctic tires and let it rip
1:07 So ruff seeing my favorite RUclipsr drive past the entrance to my neighborhood, and not getting to see him.
Lol I'll be doing some meet ups this year. Feel free to come out brother 👍
Sickkkkkk video
Followed you from bleeping love snow wheeling that's about all we got in Iowa no public land lol
Hey Nate, meet you last summer at Tahuya, my buddy busted his CV in his 3rd gen 4runner. You loaned us some tools. Glad to find your channel. Do you know those guys in the toyotas up front? That white 4runner is sweet!
-Vincent
Glad you found the channel! I dont know those guys unfortunately. We just happened to be behind them. Hit me up if you want to hit some trails 👊
@@DirtLifestyle I think we are headed to Tahuya on the 9th if you wanna swing thru
@@llllRoyal thanks for the invite! I will be at king of the hammers in southern California until the 11th unfortunately.
@@DirtLifestyle Tear it up brotha!
If mud terrains are not good for snow, what do you think is better?
The general consensus is a tighter tread pattern works better in snow because snow sticks to snow better then rubber. You want something that holds snow into the tread. I'm starting to think this might be myth but there are so many variables it's hard to say.
great work.... amazing place.... curious if you ever go with chains?
The trail from that td. Was ashame.
Where those guys breaking trail even aired down? It was pathetic watching them... like a fish flopping around out of water. I've gone farther in my tundra on 35s. Of course I air down so it looks like it's about to pop a bead
Loved the video
@dirtlifestyle so I’m the guy that notices little things lol! Do you have the stock roll cage on your rig? I noticed you had the front half modified but wanted to know if the rear was stock?
love this stuff! We don't get that kind of snow in Pa. anymore. Not that I miss it, but it sure is fun to watch! Check out my Project Bumble Jeep if you get the chance. God Bless.
Those clowns in the front could have aired down to like 3 psi and walked that
how do them maxxis razor tires do in the wet/icey conditions?
so , what are the tires on the jeep?
What do you do if you need a spare tire
Where EXACTLY is this?
Hi there, what tires do u have? 😁
when's your yota coming :D
why are bead locks in some places illegal?
I don't know
That looks like a lot of fun on 4 wheels better that the 18 I've had to deal with this past weekend on I90
We’d ride with you! Matt’s Towing channel uses those “Yankum” Ropes extensively on his towing channel with a XJ around Hurricane Utah.
Great video, I would like to get your Jeep stuck more often👍🏻
Lol
Lol was happy to see you along for the ride and driving the jeep Kelly
Being stuck sometimes feels like more fun than being NOT stuck lol
"Here at Dirt Lifestyle I'll be taking all you dirtbags on a trail today!" I can see it now 🤣
Btw, your production quality has gone up since going full time RUclips! Keep up the good work and rock on man!
Thanks man! Lol for some reason I love "dirtbags". I hope it sticks
@@DirtLifestyle we need Dirtbags merch!!
@@robjones4210 great idea! I'll get Jessica designing some stuff pronto!
@@DirtLifestyle in for Dirtbag Lifestyle stickers and a hoodie!!
Yes on the "dirt bag" decals I want one on all of my vehicle's
Nate more adventure content! You've made comments about how light weight your jeep is, what does your jeep weigh? Keep up the good work man! 👍
I'll be weighing it in a video very soon. I'm guessing 4500 to 4900. Its covered aluminum parts. All the three doors and all the fenders are aluminum. I dropped about 250 lbs with the engine swap and even the fuel tanks is small and light. It's really hard to guess exact numbers but compared to other jeeps on 40s this is a light weight rig. 👍 👍
@@DirtLifestyle if it's under 5k on 40s that is light! If you ever make it over to Naches or funny rocks, let us know.
@@beatupbronco Moon rocks/ funny rocks are great!!
im really jealous of all that snow :D nice video
Nice video! I didn't realize you were in WA, for some reason I thought you were on the east coast. I'll have to hit you up next time I come south from Victoria with the Jeep.
Your channel is the sole reason I'm gonna build another jeep....its been since 2012 that I've been wheeling I had a 06 tj on 37s and a priced together long arm kit and lunchbox lockers that was notorious for breaking axles in parking lots
Nice man! I happy to help get you motivated to build!
I do believe I'm gonna do a yj due to emissions requirements in ny a ls auto 60 front 14 bolt rear on coil overs
Now that’s a fantastic survival Gadget to find you’re way home...just paint a big black line behind yourself in the snow and never get lost again 👍🤪
Wow your videos just keep going up in quality!! Keep up the good work @dirtlifestyle
Thanks!
Awesome snow bogging love the channel and heck yeah do more adventurous videos 😎😎😎😎
Aww hek ya! Love it! Looks like so mutch fun! Verry cool video guys!
I've wanted a mildly lifted 4 door keep for years. And this channel definitely makes that itch even worse. I need to win the lottery or something. Even though there is no such thing in Alaska...
Adventure Yes Please!!! Great video 👍
Hell yeah! Great video great rigs glad to see Kelly along and driving your rig too was fun to watch
Totally down with more adventure videos. I really like how you've got good tech backed up by solid wheeling. And that your not a Jeep only or Toyota only fanboy. Just guys out having a good time.
Thanks! I'm an offroad fanboy. Toyota, jeep, subaru, chevy...I judge 4x4s on craftsmanship. Not on make or model 👍
Hell yeah more adventure stuff and build video content. Its. All great stuff keep up the great work 🤘🤘🤘
We should meet up and go wheeling sometime. 👌🤘
I’m a firm believer in the yankum rope look up Matt’s off-road recovery on RUclips he’s made toms of money with a basically stock XJ pulling out F-250s with toy hauler trailers with little effort
I believe his XJ is rolling with d60s
@@discopatrol. HP D44 Front and D60 rear.
Still running the stock engine transmission combo and we know how stock auto transmissions are in Jeeps
That looks fun!
Cool video, When you said High Rock, where you up by Mt. Hood? Also, for the PNW which would you go with, a Radial Treps or Razrs? I do drive my Jeep on the road but can't decided on which one to get. Keep up the great videos.
Near Mt. Rainier 👍
How did RUclips recommend this to me? I was up there a couple days ago in my lifted GMC Sierra with your same tires in 35's. I was impressed how they performed in the snow. Was wondering what vehicle left the track marks all over! LOL
Love your videos! Your TJ is definitely one of the nicest TJs I've seen. Almost makes me want to sell my JK and mod a badass TJ like yours. Love your adventure videos as well as your informational ones!
Thanks buddy 👊
Gotta love it when you have to double take if it's an RC car or not.
Love the wheeling videos!!
Very cool video! Snow-wheeling looks like a lot of fun.
Being a gearhead I love this stuff, and if you'll notice my son in my pic, we love snow. I'm trying to keep my focus on my mustang but man those jeeps are calling my name.
Just did the same transition! Mustang to a TJ. For a daily driver, it’s definitely been a harsh transition, but every time you hit the trails it’s all worth it.
Snow 4x4ing looks like heaps of fun, too bad we dont get snow down here in western Australia. Keep up the good work dude and im loving the more frequent content.🤘🤘🤘
More DL content. All your stuff is quality. You post it and I'll watch it. Adventure, Fab, how to, reviews, whatever.
Just remember, don't eat black snow! Also you need Tracks. Like big tracks.
Lol
Don't eat Yellow snow!
So beautiful playing in the snow. Plus the Jeep's look better with white background.
Yes more snow wheeling my friends and I just went last Saturday tried to make it to Summit Lake in Oregon but after about the sixth tree that was across the road we turned around my stalk little Ruby did a pretty good job really wish BF Goodrich made the old mud terrains in a 35 or 37 cuz those tires Kick-Ass in the snow
I just got home from John day and pushed deep snow with my Jeep you could probably find deep snow out that way
Ok... I'm going to plan a trip to Washington next winter! The snow and scenery is so beautiful. All we have in Southeast Texas is mud in the piney woods.
