I like how for the Wicked Cloak Mask has the symbol for the Bayonetta series from Smash Bros, just flipped. Really does look like aomething shed summon to take down an angel.
Blandcritter should get guts as an ability. The mask prevents it from easily activating it and also discourages terastalizing. Also, facade would be strictly better than even a boosted normal cudgel, provided guts was active. All-in all the most fitting ability for a "bland" mask.
I could see an ability were when hit by a physical move it’s physical attack increases for the bruisedchamp mask but I don’t know what I would call it.
For the fighting type or steel type have it whenever it gets hit by a steal type attack it gets plus 1 to attack and call it iron supplement. My reasoning is bc its like eating a iron supplement and can motivate people during double battles to attack their own ogrepon with weak steal type moves.
I think the masks naming convention, based on the original 4, are physical places or things where the element could reside or be. Except for Teal, which I believe it's other name is Woodland Mask; all the masks had colour associations in the info placards.
I mean, for the normal critter mask you just slap on "normal moves gain +1 crit and then when it teras "normal moves gain +2 crit and all moves gain +1 crit" It is stupid basic but it is obviously great and added bonus is you dont have to wonder so much if something will crit. It also makes sense due to ghosts being immune to normal so you can give it a bit of extra help

I designed something similar for a Poison Ogerpon but instead of using masks she just used chains like the Lousy 3
I love the "blandcritter" mask lmao. Idk about the competitive scene or w/e, but I feel like normals are v plain and bland
